Spl02: Noob-Party

OK, guys, I don't have time to play now... so please skip me for now...

Quotey, you're up.

Yuck, this is a bad time. I cannot play today or tomorrow. Anybody who wants a swap can have it.

First turn, told Yara where his head would looks good on. He disagrees. So war it is then.

And in a swift CKN motion, we took city b, now known as Adulius.

Next is a long march to the other side of Zaraland.

Meanwhile, made some trades:

SB is the only one who don't have MC. I picked currency next, but now I regretted. Should have go for construction, because now every Civ except SB knows Currency, but only Charle know construction (and is no willing to trade).

In the other news, Joao got the Parthenon and has finally moved away his mini-stack from our borders.

I am waiting for the cottage to be respawned in barbie land. It's done at my last turn, so next player can pillage.

We are also having spy problem .... hmmm.

Back to the war, we reached the next city. On the hill, and with 50% culture. Was lucky with the first few CKNs, they either won at 30% odds, or withdrawn to safety. Finally, the city falls, and considering our economy, I razed it. We need to be selective in the cities we keep. They must either contain some wonders or holy places, or have lots of cottages.

I think I lost only 1 axe and a CKN. The battles also created a GG, which I merged with a spear to create our supermedic.

I neglected, and when Beijing grows from 8 to 9, the WW increases by one, resulting in a angry face. So, I switched build to an archer (we are in HR).

Situation at the war front:

Suggest we wait for the arrival of the super medic, and then go deeper east to look for a city to keep. That city should also build our Forbidden Palace, me think.

Looks good. I could either be skipped or play now. I'll be able to play tommorow.

e: I will certainly take Aksum. Have we got enough Courthouses for the FP yet?

Looks good Grey

1. Splime (on-deck)
2. Quotey (up)
3. GreyFox (Just Played)
4. Admiral Kutzov
5. TheLastOne36
6. Morred
7. dawn

Due to the double skip it looks like the order is reversed, hehe. That's just my reccomended order, if Admiral can take it quickly or Quotey/Splime can't or something it's all good :)

I'll be able to play this weekend, don't worry.

The war looks like it's going well.

lurker's comment:
But I do play Civ half-naked (or less) often enough myself
aieeee!! my eyes . . . my beautiful eyes!!

ahem . . .

carry on

Well, it's been 24 hours w/o Quotey posting a got it... I'm up then, and I'll play tomorrow. However, if Quotey plays before I start playing, he can have it.

I assumed this would count as a got it. And I'll be playing today (or tommorow GMT, whatever). Sorry for any misunderstanding!

here's a strange idea. Instead of sending the stack directly east to the presumed location of aksum, is there a benefit to sending it southwest to raze and pillage? yes that delay results in losses when we finally attack Zara's capital, but we're going to razing anyway given our economy. IIRC, the paritisans are not in the game. By leaving Zara's northern and eastern cities until last, we gain a free buffer with Mr. Bull. There's alway a cease fire. have looked at the open borders to see who might try to send resettlement teams thru us.

Are the Ports starting to worry anyone else.

And yes, I am sitting here half-naked...

:cringe: :cringe: :cringe:

i agree with Admiral with the raze and pillage tactic.

Ugh, I am really sorry about this, but you should just skip me this round (don't want to mess up roster further). I thought I could get it done now, but I remembered I have something important on tommorow early. I am really sorry, and will certainly not make a point of it.

Hopefully this won't slow us down further, if Splime doesn't see it.

Oops, I didn't look at posts before that roster was posted... my bad.
