SSNES: Fall of Wu'di

YES! Stories! Like crack for me and my dreadful life! Oh pretty pretty stories... Of doom... Give... them... to... miiiiiiiiih.......

The shimmering powder, black like coal but not as dull-coloured, rustled as it ran down Shezmon's fingers. As it hit the desk, Azganoth and Belialus flinched badly.
"There's no need to worry.. I have told the powder not to incinerate. You should remind yourself of its draconic origin."
"But can we use this powder for anything, Dragonfather?" Belialus stroked his greying beard in wonder of the substance. "It is not truly useful, for with the work it takes to place it, one could just as simply demolish the structure with a saw or other tool."
"I and Nur'mek have pondered this much, and realized the answer while inspecting one of the new mines. If given only one way out, the fire will have to use that way to 'escape', so to speak. Furthermore, the fire, should it burst forth rapidly, is always preceded by a blast of hot air, and trust someone who rides dragons many times more than you together, a wall of air can be more formidable than a mace. I've been working on practical applications for a few days now, and I think I've gotten it right."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shezmon walked familiarly along the cliffsides of Wyrmspine, his draconic agility letting him pass easily where others failed. And after hours of arduous climbing, he had reached the top of one of the greatest mountains of the ridge. Nur'mek had chosen to stay back and guard the tower, but Shezmon had to admit, there was a beauty to the mountains, one that he enjoyed the most when climbing them.
Heaving down the bag he was carrying, he opened it and brought forth a few apples, some of the powder he had called Dragonpowder, and a sturdy metal tripod with a powerful metal pipe, with one end closed, affixed to it. Shezmon quickly put in some Dragonpowder and an apple, checked everything, and touched the rim of the pipe with a finger.
The flame started burning towards the shut end of the pipe, and Shezmon backed away. In the next instant, a great clamour came forth as fire burst from the pipe, chunks of burning apple flying forth.
After allowing himself some private celebration, Shezmon cleaned the pipe, put in some more powder, yet added small stones and rough sand instead of apple. Then, he placed an apple a few steps away from the pipe, repeating the ignition procedure. This time, as the boom shot forth, the fruit was shattered as the hailstorm tore it, no chunk greater than a pebble left.
Shezmon's grin had not been as mischievous for quite some time.

YAY! Stories FTW! De'huzzah!

I might crank out a farewell story...twas fun playing in this NES.

@Erik: I was just fearing that you might make a weird nation with chaos Adepts and make this a LINES ripoff. You can take over Pashawan. There are some Republicans inside your borders as well. And the expanse of bare land between you and Rollux (former Galadinia) is considered demilitarized zone.
 I appear to have a rather unsavory reputation. Well, I've had worse... :mischief:

What republicans? Do you mean people from the neighbouring Republic of Whoever, or citiziens who want my monarchy overthrown in favor of a republic? :p

Also, what's the Three Cities project in my stats?

Orders sort-of sent. I suppose I'll get into this more next turn. A story may arrive tomorrow.

One tiny thing about your orders: most stats are capped by education. Training beyond the education level will cost you two eco per level. Refer to the levels on the front page for cost calculation. Post #8 or something...

And the Republicans are rather nasty revolutionaries who report to the Republic of Tori. Although there's always been rebels amongst the citizen, they have formed organized groups, thanks to the meddling of the republic of Tori. They are found in every nation, but so far have flourished in Benethrezim and Delenlor only.

@Cleric: I trust you're going to fight to the bitter end?

Also, are they (The Republic) willing to let our people copy their magic type? (We will not take the original scrolls, but we want copies)

The Republic is willing to teach you their language and grant access to the Academy, if you are willing to return the islands west of the Turin peninsula (those you took four, five years ago).

OOC: Is Eric playing as of this update or the next? If he do play this update that will influence my orders, because I think he is a bit more... excentric, than you. Who knows what a madman might do :p

He will be playing this turn, yes. I will not reveal his orders, no.

I did not ask that either...

I just felt like writing something more than that lone sentence. :p

Orders sent... Good story btw Azash

Perhaps, perhaps not.Perhaps I will go on a drunken killing spree.Or will I just leave this dimension.Really I've got no chance in the ancient era combat.Industrial era is however a different story.

Orders/story tomorrow.

We will gladly return control of the Torinnin Island chain.

Orders to come soon, story later today.

Story's in its way. I won't send orders before I got the story ready, there's no way you would understand them without the story.

:)

EDIT: I must say that this will propably be my longest story so far in this NES. At least that's what it is even now, and I haven't yet even gotten everything I want written.
