SSNES: Fall of Wu'di

Stats are teh updatedness.

Shouldnt my economy be higher since I merged with them?I know Tori had a wealthier economy and now its at stable.Where did those 2 eco levels go?

I think I know the answer, but I'm not going to like it.

You're right. But your nation is as unstable as the Republic! :p It will (most likely) go up again if you manage to regain a semblance of order in Benethrezim.

So. Do I have right now 3 or 4 eco points at my disposal, since stats say 4, but in some previous update you tolled 1 eco point from each country?

I didn't toll anyone? You've spend three points, right? I think I banked another point to your eco this update...

Bah. Look here. You spend as many eco as it says on the first number plus the fourth and fifth. This is the amount of eco you can spend at any given turn. Just do the math. And send me the stats in your orders so i don't have to check the front page to confirm them.

Of course, you could tweak with the stats and make me believe you have more points, but when I find out (it's a matter of time, anyway) I will kick you out of the NES. :)

Damn you and your dice. You gamble too much. :p

Well, now you know. ;)

You have not updated the project I mentioned in my orders. The one named Algar horses or something?

Algarian Horses, right? You said it would "probabily" be that next. And I didn't PM you the cost, so I kind of dropped it in the update to clear it with you. It'll take three eco points. :)

Woah public crazyness here...nevermind.

after so long has past, and so many years have passed.
I return here, to this cave, where I sealed this Icon of you.
I Know you can here me, in some distant part of your mind.
but your followers have become corrupt and petty, divided among themselves.
Their voices no longer reach you, and yours well..
for this Icon is the last remain one from your time.
my wild walkers have taken care of any that remained in your lands.
they have forgotten you.
Already the first of your magic have been unchained, clairvoyance if but a chance and memory.
and your magic of death has become unbound. as the dead walk your lands.

and I have perfected My first magic.
and the pact of Ages has been signed.
As I tame more and more to my will
I will grow in power.
and soon, very soon, the terms of the gods.
I will rise to meet you in your current realm.
and then, we shall see who is stronger...

The General and the Republic: Part II

Wearily, General McKrawl walked towards the podium. He looked out at the crowd assembled. Despite their mistrust of him, most of the heads of the "free cities", as they liked to call themselves, had come, though not with out protection. Each of them stood apart from the others, in the center of tight knots of bodyguards. And thus, disunited and mistrustful, we will fall.

As a child, McKrawl had been considered eligible to be an adept. He had trained at the Air Academy in what was then Wu'di for a short time before being rejected, as he could not muster the amount of power required to succeed. He had, however, learned the basic skill of subtly altering the air around him so that his voice became magnified and resonant--a skill that proved useful in giving orders, and that would prove useful know. Inwardly gathering his strength, willpower, and love for Delenlor, he began to speak.

"I have called you all here today to make an announcement about the future government of Delenlor. As some of you exemplify, the people yearn for a republic. They yearn to make their own laws, follow their own course. Today, I tell you that I will not stop them."

The crowd erupted into shouts, but was quickly silenced as McKrawl held up a hand and continued to speak.

"No, I will not oppose the will of the people of the country which I love so much. If times were better, I would resign my post as head of this government immediately.

But times are bad. Because of the folly of the Adepts who once ruled us, we are embroiled in a war. And if we continue squabbling amongst ourselves, it is a war we cannot win.

But I tell you, if the people of Delenlor stand united, they can become a force that cannot be stopped. United, we can stop this assault. United, we can bring about peace for our children.

Some of you know that this government has been pursuing an economic revitalization. And in one year's time, this dream will become a reality. If we survive this year, we cannot fall. But we must survive this year. And for this, I need your help. Return to your cities, tell your people. No volunteer will be turned away from this fight. And maybe, just maybe, if every citizen of this would-be Republic does his duty, Ramon shall be repulsed.

If we win this fight, I shall step down immediately and Delenlor shall have a Republic. If we lose, we shall be completely and utterly destroyed, but at least we shall go down fighting. Divided, we have no hope. United, we shall resist!"

Mopping his brow, General McKrawl stepped down from the podium. The future of Delenlor is now in their hands. I have done all I can.

Great story, JD. :)

I'm gone for four days because of the Finnish season that celebrates workers, party hard, and when I return there have been, like, ten new posts :p

You didn't say anything until now. Will add it, tho. :)
