SSNES: The Race Elevator

Can they count as lower for their amorality? Realistically, it should cause some degree of problems.

I agree Sliver, and I think that location would have been too far north to have been a desert. Here's my new starting location:

and my race of creatures would look a lot like on of these, just have the scales small and have it walking on two legs. They also don't have a tail and would probably have longer claws.

No mundane forces? Eh...but that's no fun. How can I get my groove on without slaughtering a bunch of charging peasants with magical traps?

You can, however this is strictly prohibited by the Code, which states that combat is between spellcasters only.

Some, yes. But at 0.1 they will be reproducing so rapidly that your race will expand into other races' territories faster than you can say "cake". I can accept 1 at the lowest.

Is the Code posted somewhere? Or if not, could you tell us what it says we can and cannot do?

It's not a very complicated thing, but I will jot down a few points on the front page.

@Vert: Am I to assume that your relative score is 100? It's a bit much, you know? From what I gather of their description, they shouldn't be more than twenty max.

Well if that's a the only problem I am glad.:D By all means reduce it down to around 16/17. I did not have much of a clue about that so I put a generic fanasty figure down.

Rough spread of the Aalin Shenn Sleih.

EDIT: Oops.

I do not beleive it is divine imposed but rather it is a code of conduct for nations much like the laws regarding war in our own world.

O.K, I've read the Code section. Given that non-spellcaster Chamenedes fight over territory, Chamenedes should count as a Dishonorable race.

EDIT: BTW, now I think about it the existence of Chamenedes are a plot hole. Why would Shira consider them a minion candidate?

Well, the new races haven't begun experimenting with magic yet. I also spot a plot hole in the NPC nations not having spells and domains. I guess I have to give them some, or else the entire Code is quite moot. Right now, though, I'm hitting the sack.

Physical Descrpition

The Shinta are a strage race of, River Scorpians. These sentient insects, are rather large, the average specimen just over two meters long, and twenty five centimeters off the ground. They use three pairs of large feet to get around, and each foot as bunched up webbing between the toes, much like that of a water bird. They also have a long tail that's usually positioned overhead with a grasper on the end. This means that groups of two or more are required for most tasks.

In colour they range from a dusty blue to a bright green, usually a colour inbetween. It is often hard to spot one crawling through the forest or swimming through a a river. It is in rivers in fact, that they are most often found. The river provides an ideal hunting ground, as both plants and animals are frequently found within. Many an animal has wandered up to a bank, no noticing the Shinta Hiding within. This tactic is greatly helped by the fact they can stay underwater for about twenty minutes (average) before surfacing.

Background:

The Shinta have always been around in one form or another. For many years they have been among the smartest of species. For many many years they have built homes under the river bank. Utilizing there aquatic landscpae to the most, they have always gathered in large amounts by steep riverbanks, with a large amount of space between the river and water level. These banks allow them to dig out dens under the water, and then up into dry areas. These tunnels are dangerous, even the most careful precautions can't always prevent flood.

Their life is very family based. Each family has it's own set of tunnels, but despite the size of some families their was very little communication between families, and as such their societies growth has been slow. But eventually something hit. Magic has slowly begun rippling out into the families. The safe family lifestyle was not to stay forever.

Soon, the patriarch of one of the largest familes. Began the process of unification. Known as Kylarnos to the world, and Currenthuntre to the families, he has united much of River Lantros under his banner. He has begun looking both outwards and inwards. Inwards for his evergrowing population. He has already connected most of the tunnels, with a network the size of a town. Outwards, because it isn't so hard to live outside the water. And conquest tastes so sweet.

Note: I don't really care where exaly the River Lentros is, but we are there.

Ice: I'm going to rule that the tunnels are above water, since I don't accept aquatic races. Shintra are very water-adept, though, it's only that they cannot live in the water alone. Hope this is OK with you.

The Moon Riders are a race of flying creatures. Nocturnal, they flit through the skies, suspended on the clouds. Thier sole earthbound location is a Mountain they regard holy: the place from which Shira ascended to his home on the moon. There, a holy order of priests and sorcerers keep the prophecies and histories of the Moon Riders. They rule the moon riders with a fair but firm law.
The Average Moon Rider is approximately 3 feet in length, with a Wingspan of 7 feet. Thier fur is Dark at birth, but lightens to a palest silver with Age. The Average moon Rider lives 45 years, and has four broods of 7 infants

(if Air is unacceptable as a Habitat, then it'll be mountains and hills)

The Durmino are about twice the size of rats. They look like large, 5ft Mice with smallish, curled hears and a tail useable as a limb. They have a shortish snout with sharp teeth but most noticeable are their hands, which have small, but ever growing nails/claws. They have a large legs made for running, climbing and jumping with smaller forlimbs for holding. They are skilled in defending their homes and trying to prepare for the future.

t.b: Air isn't a Habitat, no. Changed it.

CL: There aren't any "forests" in this world per se. If that is what you picture as an ideal Habitat for your race, you may want to create forests through a project. For now, I've given you Lowlands/hills as that is what the Rats prefer. Hope this is OK.

Hello and a merry christmas, SS! Here I am, just for you. :)

Stats Template

Race: Ogulmuks (24)
Habitat: Hills/Lowlands
Leader: King Clax
Population: 1000?
Spark: Tiny (0/100)
Prana: 50 (10 +25% = 13/turn)
Domains: ??
Spells: ?? (It's unclear whether we start with these or not. The rules say no, but some people's stats say yes.)
Spellcasters: 10
Projects: None

Description: Imagine a centaurlike being, but with the lower body of a giant lizard, and the upper body is also scaled, but still vaguely humanoid. Only vaguely, though, as they have four arms that are many-jointed like snakes and end in quadruple opposable claws set in a cross shape, instead of one finger opposing four others. Ogulmuks are usually striped or speckled dark blue and mute yellow. Their feet are also clawed, rendering them incapable of a full gallop, but they can instead grip and climb far better than most races. The bulk and scales of a single Ogulmuk render it superior to practically any other creature, meaning that they fear only one another, which is why they have a rigid social order with an absolute, hereditary monarchy and a detailed order of succession, so that there is no question of who has the final word in a dispute. For the Ogulmuk breed slowly, and prefer a harsh, clear decision to an uncertainty that may lead to strife and death.
