Stargate SG1 and/or Andromeda

I was just curious who else out there, secretly or otherwise, enjoys (for reasons unknown) watching the zany and loopy series Stargate SG1 and/or Andromeda.

I watch them faithfully every week. At first (especially Andromeda), I thought they were pretty goofy and watched them infrequently. Now, I make sure I record them every week so that I can watch them.

One thing that I always laugh about in SG1 when O'Neill is blasting away with his variety of automatic weapons is how MacGyver HATED guns.

I did figure more people like SG1 than Andromeda; it is the better of the two shows. However, Andromeda has gotten MUCH better. Now, it is nice mind candy after a long day at work.

The story line was too stupid the first season, replace it with a new bab5 series, with londo, and G'kar

I'm surprised Adromeda has survived as long as it has. I guess the Roddenberry(sp) name still has some weight.

Some of you may wonder why I mentioned the two together. Well, it just so happens that, in syndication in my market, the two are shown back to back. So, I automatically associate the two together.

SG1's a good fun... not my favorite show by any means, but good. Got 2 seasons on local TV, downloaded and watched the rest.

Andromeda... dunno what's that all about.

Sometime I wonder if the primitive earthlings (like the authors of the Bible) had mistaken an advance alien race from an advance civilization as God(s), but that is a long story and probably off topic anyway.

PS: I have the first 3 seasons of SG1 on DVD. I can't wait for the rest to come out.

SG1 is my fav.

Andromada has that one chick, the weird one that use to have the tail. Only reason why I watch. That and a few funny lines, such as;

The dead people of some ship start coming back to life and someone says to Dillan "That's what you get for insensatly helping people!"

Andromeda is OK, but it gets a little goofy with the Satanic Race Destroying The Universe theme. I really hate the Fifty Hypervelocity Microprojectiles Per Second Never Hit Anything syndrome, but thats no different from SG-1 and every other movie and TV show made.
