Ironic note: I was planning on starting at Ceiti, just next to your homeworld. Then I had a vision. ;)

What...before or after I claimed Lambert? Its just that those nodes with a 'backyard' that only they have access too are just so darn tempting ain't they ;). It would have been weird if you had stayed there...a considerably more interesting early game, but worse late game when we are rolled over by a power who actaully had room to expand...

I'm back. I'm weary. I'm going to try to do the update tomorrow. No guarantees. It's been a really rough weekend.

Again, sorry for the delay.

Have you got my orders? You seem to have missed one other PM I sent you...

EDIT: Never mind, got a reply now. New orders are in.

Ph34r, 1ggy. :p

Update Started. No guarantees it will be posted today. I'll try, though.

UCCT is now NPC'd.

No more turn orders will be accepted for this update.

That is all. :)

I'm heading out to see my doctor... i don't know what just happened to me, but I just got slammed with some kind of cold or flu. Probably from all the stress over the weekend weakened my immune system.

I'm still shooting for the update to be posted tomorrow, though. That is my goal.

And if I don't, I will give each Faction TWO free tech level advances (just not in the same field, tho). Incentive for me to get my act together. :)

Wow. This was some serious delay.
Free tech will just speed up the game, though, not much incentive. Can we pick the fields?

Working on the update now.

And if it isn't posted today, yes, you get to pick the two tech fields you'd like an extra level in.

can we choose after the update?
scratch that.
just make it (if still valid) Energy and BioTech.

Hey, now... the two tech levels are only IF the update isn't posted today (which means by 11:59pm EST). ;)

Well, if I didn't have to keep posting responses here... :lol:

Well, I'm going to posit a logical explanation for the sudden leaps of tech, just to demonstrate what a master storywriter I am. </showoff>

NEWS FLASH!

-SUBSTANTIAL CRYSTAL REFORMATION ON ONCOL III-

<scene: a hostile area with erupting volcano>
An outpost on the uninhabitable Oncol III, commonly called "Hell's Dump" for its high concentration of unusually toxic substances and irregular but common volcanic eruptions, has just reported high unobtainum levels following the creation of a massive rift that spewed out several tons of ejecta from near the planet's core during its conception.
<scene: talking reporter>
Even trace quantities of unobtainium are highly prized in all areas of research; the outpost reported several kilograms before being swept away by a river of lava. We now go straight to the Oncol Space Station, where the Dictator has scrambled the Sojournership's three most elite military units and directed them to drag a scientist with them post haste;

<scene: 1st person view of spaceship door in docking area>
(Reporter) "Excuse me, this vital event-"
(Scientist) "YOU ****** FOOL GET OUT NOW YOU'RE DELAYING US-"
(R) "-must be covered, would you"
(S) "AND WE - PRIVATES; THROW THIS MAN OUT!"
[grunts appear on screen]
(R) "You wouldn't..."
[Camera pans wildly]
(R) "...dare"
[crashing noise, camera points at unrelated area]

<scene: talking reporter>
As you can see, there appear to be technical problems at the spaceport. Furthermore, the outpost has stopped reporting and is presumed destroyed.
Should they reach Oncol III in time, the military teams will attempt to simply force-scoop up as much material as they can, flinging it into orbit with a reserve motor and an escape pod. Then they will make a second flyover, attempting to scoop up what unobtainum they can from a more concentrated deposit.
The reason for all the haste is, as I'm sure you all know, the fact that unobtainum is metastable at high temperatures, so besides the risk of it simply being buried under lava flows, it may also spontaneously dissolve.
In twelve hours, we'll know whether the Sojournership gets its unobtainum. If we do, there will be immense benefits, so I'll ask all our viewers to wish them good luck.

Still working on the update. And still plenty of hours left in the day. ;)

Will it count if I DDoS you? :p

(this isn't just pointless spam, 3 more posts and the update will be at the top of the next page instead of at the bottom of this one.)

Once we reach 600, kindly leave space for the update, people. Please.

Here's where I stand with the Update. I have 3 factions left to do. Vakkra movements are done. Starmap is mostly done. Stats are mostly done. I'm sending all the game files to my home e-mail account so I can finish the update there.

So, look for the update sometime in the next few hours. And I promise you, this update is pretty frickin' cool. Although, I dare say some of you might not like me much. :mischief:

"You have six hours. Failure is not an option."

Ah the age old choice - spread your forces or concentrate them to the most important...

I just hope I made the right one ;), actually what I really hope is that the Vakkra went somewhere else :D

Or, take a clue from LINES:World of Magic, let the world blow up, and be the winner by walkover.
If (when? :mischief: ) I hand my production over to the Vakkra, they can build a hundred Cruisers every turn.

It's best for Darwin, really. The updates have been slow and they'll only get worse as the NES progresses.:p

DO NOT POST. LET THE UPDATE APPEAR AT THE TOP OF THE NEXT PAGE.
