Well because this is boring you all... and me... I'll finish the BIG update straight into bronze. (Some of you will like it, some may not... but all could make up for what they don't like I promise that). So the map is quite ready... just do the write up and stats hopfully i'll get it done by tommorow.
hopfully i'll get it done by tommorow.I have decided (stupad RL) to quit this NES. I'm very sorry, but my upcoming absence for two weeks means that I want to withdraw from most of my NESes, so as to make the gameplay more interesting for the others and less easy PC-w/o-orders takeovers. I hope Rome survives...probably won't, but you never know.

1.) Expand along coast, farther inland along Yangtze to prevent Shang China from going farther South.
2.) Grow economy, education, and military, in that order. CIN will outhink its rivals if nothing else.
3.) Try and use trade to strengthen ties with Shang China. Infiltrate their governmental structure on low-to-mid levels to try and make them friendly to CIN.
Basically: expand and grow.

It will function as the port from which the new galleys will issue. There will also be built an astronomical observatory, gathering vital knowledge about the path of stars to aid seafarers in navigation. Mapping the paths of the celestial objects, they make it possible to guide the ships by the stars to ensure safe voyage and return.
Also, the new science plays a key role in the religious mythology as the Gods of Osiris and Isis are tied to Orion and Sirius respectively. The deceased pharaoh is turned into a star and journeys the nightly skies accompanying the great Osiris. Much gaudy and baroque symbolism and mythical humbug, but the people loves it and the religion grows even stronger. In fact, the entirety of the religious myths are recorded in the first literary work of all time, called The Book of the Dead.
Build galleys and start contacting overseas civilizations (Rome, Cherson) for trade. Elephants are hunted in the southern reaches for ivory and sold as a luxury abroad. Continue the successful development in reasearch and education: from now on, all aristocrat children are taught to read and write the hieroglyphs and do basic maths. The education is held in the temples by clerics, also the scholars of the nation.
