It was Early, the Cold mountain dew was heavy on the Grass, the Night dark with only Coniraya, and Mama Quilla In the Heavens, it was a lonly Night. Known By only his title, The Divine Emperor (Inca), Inti's decendent had a duty to hereld the knew day.
Preperations were made.
Inca sat down and began the ritual, infront of him were the Elders. A fire was lit, and the Ritual began.
"For whom has watched over the night" Inca Started, His voive crisp in the Morning darkness.
"Mama Quilla, The Goddess of the Moon, who guides our steps when Inti Rests. Coniraya, The God of the Stars, who Cries a tear purity for every fallen Incan" The Elders replied, Voices threading through the darkness "May they rest, in peacefull slumber,".
"We ask Chasca to awaken, may her dawn be the beginning of new Hope,"
"Chasca, The Goddess of dawn and dusk, we call upon you"
An orange glow appeared. More Importantly it was streaked with red. It struck the Eldars with awe, momentus times were ahead. Inca new his duty, now he had to appeal to them all.
"Chasca, whom hath wounded you"
"Apo, The God of the Mountains, has his ragged mountains torn your flesh?"
Nothing. The Eldars were Silent, Awaska had begun to tremble, he was the oldest and most respected member, but Inca could not stop.
"Mama Coca, The Goddess of Health and Joy. Has her spitefull tongue bit you?" [1]
Nothing. Inca Noticed a Shadow at the edges of his eyes.
"Illapa, The God of Thunder and Lightning, has his fury blasted you asunder?"
Nothing. The Shadow was also tinged red.
"Pacha Camac, The God of the Earth, has his weight you beneath him?
Still Nothing. Awaska was now trembling violently.
"Supay, The God of Death, ruler Uca Pacha [2] and the Deamons, has his Malice pierced you?"
Awaska fell, a yelp issued from him.
Inca had his answer, and it frightened him. The only power that could counter Supay was Inti himself. He must concentrate with all his power, to raise the Sun.
"Rise Inti,"
The Shadow Advanced on him, even now Suppay was touching his heart with his ice cold grip. He began to fear his fate.
He relived his life, short but meaningfull, his father had passed down the rituals down to him, he remembered, and practised until he could repeat them.
The could not begin to Understand WHY Inti had not risen. The Ritual was done.
The Eldars had gone white.
The Shadow now stood before him. Hhe felt malice grip him and the ice cold sensation grow.
He tumbled through his memory, searching for the answer, why had it not worked?!?
He found the answer. He was alone with his father, When he told him:
"Remember, you are Inti's Son,"
Inca stood up. The Sun rose blazing gloriously, a shaft of light pierced the shadow and it fled, back to Uca Pacha. Inca stood pale, and fainted.
