OOC: Well, I don't like posting pictures of starting locations for no particular reason. Must be that 100 year old blood I drank five year ago...
Please don't forget the three other Baheblee nations (poorer and weaker then me due to constant warfare): Hablara (west), Ohebla (east) and Kalaba (north).
IC:
"This I do not understand." - spoke Erenak, Kalabar leader - "What is going on in Or-Itsara?"
Noone dared answer.
"None of merchants return anymore." - the tall, muscular warlord continued - "We hear NOTHING from our diplomats. It is as if the entire city has disappeared."
"The people of Or-Itsara do not honor the Two Gods as well as they should." - spoke an old priest. He was brutally maimed in childhood, becoming useless as a warrior, yet he made up in wisdom and cunning. He was a short, dark-skinned man with several teeth missing, numerous scars and a broken arm. He had an unpleasant voice - "Perhaps they did disapper?"

- Let tale be heard!
- Let story be heard!
- Let days be remembered!
- Let Victory be celebrated!
- Let Achivement be celebrated!
- Let Success be celebrated!
- Let us remember deeds of the Sage!
---
"Disappear?" - Erenak asked again - "For all is in the will of Gods, but why should a city disappear? Or-Itsara was a honorable city, they built great temples... ofcourse, they were not warriors, but... I do not see why it should disappear."
"But if it did, though we lose a trading partner, we also remove an obstacle" - said another warrior. The remaining elders, priests and warriors so far were silent - "Mitsara denied us passage. If it is gone, we will easily move through the land and strike at Or-Hablar! Victory will be assured - for they will not expect it."
"Yes." - Erenak gave it more thought - "But perhaps our enemies have the same plans?"
"Then we must pre-empt them!"

- And on the Tenth Week of His Rule,
- The Sage has ordered an army to be raised,
- And great was that army, and numerous its ranks.
- And on the Eleventh Week of His Rule,
- The Mitsari Army marched out of the city.
- And there, it encountered Baheblee Warriors.
- From the City of Or-Kabal.
- And those troops were fought,
- And crushed, and slaughtered, and their blood was spilt on the altars.

Drehagan rode out on that odd beast from the Eastern Lands. Around him, his warriors took position. Drehagan already declared that there are enemies nearby. For Aramon told him so, and this is how it was.
Aramon has not lied. He never did.
Drehagan saw smoke just outside of the passage between the highest of the Nehebleem Hills. A campsite!
Closer still, he noticed yellow cloth.
Kalabeans!
Drehagan raised his hand. The warriors prepared. They bursted out of the passage and into the desert, right into the midst of the yellow-clad troops. Ofcourse, the Mitsarians had the numerical and moral advantage, but the Kalabeans were battle-harded. They quickly moved back, regroupped and prepared javelins. Drehagan lowered his hand, and thrust it down into the air. Mitsarians formed against the Kalabeans and threw their javelins. Other Mitsarian warriors had slingshots and bows. The Kalabeans begun taking large casualties, though they fought back bravely. They were also taken by surprise, which further nullified their experience advantage.
A slingshot stone hit one of the Kalabeans in the head. Two other Kalabeans charged with their axes, killing one of the surprised Mitsarians, but dying under the arrow fire. Kalabeans were retreating, slowly, but surely, and yet they were moving with their backs forward, still fighting the enemy, catching arrows and javelins in the shields and in their own skin, throwing back javelins, firing back arrows (as their archers approached), fighting, killing, dying...
Dying.
Drehagan thrust his hand forward. Mitsarians charged, throwing some more javelins at the foe as they did. Kalabeans were dismoralized, Drehagan saw it easily. They begun surrendering. Mitsarians took them, and soon after, the prisoners were interrogated and sacrificed.
Mitsara was on the move. Move to Victory.
Orders:
- Read all of my previous stories to get the idea of what culture we have. This is just for the reference.
- Get more warriors - 250 or more will do. Arm them with javelins, bows, axes (stone or copper. Probably stone, unless we have copper).
- Create a new, privileged group of the military - the Guards of the Sage (UU). Train 50 of those. They are well-trained, well-equipped and FANATICALLY LOYAL. Even more fanatically loyal then the other troops. Equip them with the best weaponry we could get. They will wear blood red robes, and have tatooed faces. They will be taught to show no emotions, and to carry out orders without any questions. They will have iron disciplinne.
- Experiment with metals - if everybody is rushing towards Bronze, we won't want to be left out!
- Try to find and tame various animals - like horses, elephants, etc.
- Cultivate crops that are more resistant to heat.
- Invade Kalabeans (to the north). Invasion will be led by the Sage himself and will be participated in by our entire army. Try and convert enemy generals, soldiers and population into our faith and intstruct them to join us or, if they are in position, to assassinate the Kalabar ruler and his supporters, and generally wreck havoc - converted generals should send all of their unconverted troops into ambushes. Force the enemy ruler into a decisive battle (we will hide our numbers to seem numerically inferior). The first wave (100 warriors) will crush at the enemy, and then will fall back. The enemy will pursue it, and then the second wave (300 warriors) will charge. The first wave will stop running away and will threaten the enemy flanks. Finally, 100 warriors, 50 Guards of the Sage and Drehagan himself will reinforce the second wave to crush through the enemy with sheer determination. Allow the enemy troops to surrender. Those who convert voluntarily will be allowed to join us. Those who do not convert voluntarily and from the first moment will be sacrificed, for they cannot be trusted... In short, conquer Kalabea.
- If we are attacked by any of the other two nations, the Blood Priests will raise a temporary militia of all men who could fight, and will try and fight back the enemy. Compensate lack of training and real weapons (well, I think we probably have some stored, but not enough) with high moral due to religion and the defense of the home city.
- Build several Blood Altars and Blood Temples in Or-Itsar - this should raise culture.
