The Javanese are pushed back on the eastern front in Borneo, as most of their troops led a campaign in the west. A policy of scorched earth has turned the populace against them, and has led to widespread refusal of the locals to help the Javanese army, making logistics a nightmare. However, despite the problems, the Javanese, along with the Siamese, make great strides against the almost non-apparent Malay army in Borneo. Meanwhile, a search for the Malay fleet yields no results. However, in Sulweisi and other Malay eastern islands fall quickly to the Javanese, what little resistance there was is now resulting to guerilla rebellion.

A mass migration of Vikings to the Baltic Colonies has led to the widespread population of the land in Viking blood. Meanwhile, Viking expeditions burst out of the Baltic Sea and spread westwards, attracted to the island in the west. A colony is soon established in northern Scotland, but is heavily reliant on the homeland for defense and resources.
People cheer the army as it comes home from another victory in Hokkaido, the streets lined with people praising the emperor for finally bringing the Ainu heathens under his protection. Meanwhile, the Emperor has ordered an increase in explorers south to look for the mythical island of Okinawa, but so far, results yield little.
The Guomindang Kingdom arises along the Yangtze River in China, as the barbaric tribes were united under one emperor. A unique civilian court that sets policy alongside the emperor rules the country. This shared power has limited the authority of the throne, but has given the people much more power then anywhere else in the world. .
The Sinhalese expand their empire, annexing the Nicobar and other eastern islands, and making contact with the Javanese who are involved in their own world within Indonesia. The port of Anuradhapura was completed, opening trade to the whole island with the Calicut people and the colonial empire (+2 econ, +1 culture). However, the Sinhalese colony in Bengal was attacked and invaded by a horde of barbarians who came out of the north, and the Sinhalese were forced to flea the island. Most of the soldiers vowed revenge before they left, and most expect Sinhala to fight back. The number of barbarians was vast, and they came equipped with iron weaponry. -300 Spearmen
The British easily fight their way to conquer the eastern flatlands of Ireland, but soon notice that the western mountainous side is littered with the remnants of Irish soldiers. Also, the trading post on the river Elbe grew considerably as merchants from the Viking lands and as far away as Novgorod arrives to exchange goods (+economy).
The Sphardians build a wall along the border with Gaul, their army doing all of the work. As a consequence, future plans after the completion of the wall was scratched as the soldiers were not ready for much else (you cant build a wall and attack with the same army on the same turn, too much for the army). Meanwhile, the Sphardians try to improve relations with the Basque, but is challenging seeing how the wall also was built along the Basque border.
A quick maneuver was tried by the Sicilians to counterattack in Illyrian Italy, but to no avail, as both the diversion and the real forces were caught by the multi-national blockade. Meanwhile, a two-pronged invasion of Sicily takes place, as the Carthaginians touch land in the south just days before the Illyrians land in the north. The island forces are sandwiched, and soon loose faith and give up. Sicily is crushed, and divided among the victors (+2 econ to both Carthage and Illyria).
Sicily: -400 Spearmen, -850 Archers
Illyria: -200 Spearmen, -200 Archers
Carthage: -200 Spearmen, -300 Archers
Mimicking the Illyrian government, the Myceneans have changed their government to the Noble Council.
The people of Calicut explore the western seas, settling at a few strategic locations, and eventually making their way up the Red Sea coast to make contact with the Egyptians. Trade from these far off colonies has produced wealth in Calicut as exotic goods are sold in Calicut and also exported to Gujarat, Sinhala, and Dravidia. Meanwhile, Iron is forged in Calicut, propelling it to the Iron Age.
The damage to the moral done to the Trypoleans by the Dacians has had the opposite effect intended: Trypoleans flock to join the army in record numbers (+500 Spearmen, +500 Archers). Brakoslav then marches his army heroically to the capital Sibiu. But this is exactly what the Dacians want. However, in his genius, Bakoslav notices the lack of engagements, and decides to post pone an attack on the city. Instead, supply routes are strengthened, and his men are allowed to rest and wait for reinforcements.
Meanwhile, Dacian ships again avoid the Trypolean navy and shoot up the river straight to Poljansk, where the city is burned consistently with arrows and the such. When the bombardment finally stops, and the Dacians make their way back to the Black Sea, nearly a fourth of the city is in ashes (- econ).
NPC Notices
Notes from the Mod
Panda, you will gain NPC neighbors next update.
Maybe I wasnt clear enough. You have to upgrade your army (1 econ) to the next age before they fight as if they are in that age, and before you can build the new units. For those who tried to build the new units, I merely upgraded your army for you. If your army does not have an age near it, that means its still bronze age.
I am very sorry for the quality of the update. Usually when there is more time between updates, I try to make it worth it. This is obviously not what I wanted, but things have been hectic this week. I will, next week, try to get back on schedule.
Also, plan for an update on Friday or Sunday.
North King, what is the plural of Calicut? Calicutians?
