The Empire of Takir
"In order to progress we must learn from others and change it into our own way." Mui Tai, Takirian Philisofer.
Night, Northern Massilian border.
Tui Karim (second general): "General. The Massilian army patrol the borders. Seems like they know about us?"
Tinai Su (first general, grandson of Mui Su): "No, those are usual patrols since the days of the Roman wars. Is the army trained? We are going to fight in a quite diffrent in new way. The way we learned from those Romans."
Tui Karim: "Yes, highly trained. 50 years we train in this Legion formations. I belive the armies are ready to use them. The Roman miliatery ideas seems very good. The Takirian legion will triumph over Massilia soon."
Tinai Su: "Yes the Romans know how to fight. It's only luck they didn't had Legions when we invaded them. Now we learn from them with some changes. Tell the Commanders we are ready. The Invasion begin in 2 days. All must rest all the time they can.
Tui Karim: "Yes General. I will inform the Centriums."
Tiu Karim ran out of the tent leaving Tinai Su alone in thoughts; 'Soon Massilia will fall under our might. The Emperor already sent messangers to the Numidians leaders in hopes they will change sides. The Numdians, why they joined Massilia anyway. Probably after being thrown out of your own home you don't want anyone doing it to you again. I wonder where they got the idea we will rellocate them..." As the General continued to go deep in thought he fell a sleep only waking up in the morning.
Morning, Northern Massilian border. 2 days later.
"Charge!!!" a scream was heard from the borders as Takirian swordmen assulted the Massilian border patrol. Without any looses
the Takirian won the battle and the left overs of the patrol ran to tell of the invasion. In the first week the invasion went without any battle until scouts said a Massilian army, still with clubs, is right ahead. The Takirian had more men and had better weopenry and training. The Ching gaurd preapered in the middle of the army as the swordmen were all around. They still weren't in the Legion formation, wich later proove to be a mistake. The Massilian small army was of 200 Clubmen. The Takirian had more than triple times the number of men, with better training, moral and weoponse. The 2 armies clashed into each other.
A clowd of dust rised from the fighting, Sword and spears versus Clubs. After half a day of fighting the Takirian won. They had their looses but the Massilian army was destoried. The several men still allive from the Massilian side ran away. The Takirian war machine was well oiled and ready to strike Massilia itself from the North.
Checkign how the battle went and how could it have been won if Massilia used the Legion fomation. Seemed like that with Legions they could much more easily crash the Massilian army with fewer looses. From Now on The Takirians only used Legion formations in their army. Many more men joined the ranks as the invasion into Massilia continued, side to side with the Gaul allies.
