stNNES7: Worlds and Empires

Okay, I think people have been misinterpreting what I meant by my signature. I'm not touting my victory over Babylon nor expressing my confidence that I will defeat Syria. Rather, the signature is supposed to elicit question from those who don't know what an NES is but wonder about this "Armenia-Assyria", click on the link and find themselves enthralled by one of NK's best updates and convinced to join an NES immediately. I'll be changing it with news for each update, though I plan to relate it to Armenia each time. (Alex could do one from Shu's point of view, Xen from Ravenna's, etc.)

that idea is kickass :D

And softly softly a written Codex for a new type of warfare was written.

I have no idea why i'm commencing in Pshcological warfare with Dachspmg, although i would like to refer everyone to my near successfull unbalamcing of emu (and yes it failed, still result!)

Update will be done tomorrow. Starting it now. If you don't have orders in, then you really ought to get them in in the next 12 hours.

'A' NES not 'an' NES bt. way.

Actually, it is "an NES" for the same reason it's "an hour." An is used not necessarily when the following word begins with a vowel, but rather when it begins with a vowel sound as in "En-ee-es"

lurker's comment: Not to nitpick, but that only works if you say it as letter components of an acronym ("N-E-S") instead of, as (pronouncable) acronyms often are (eg: ALCM - "Alkum", JASM - "Jazz'em", FUBAR, etc.) saying it as if it were a word (eg: Ness). ;) In which case it would be "a" not "an".

Looks like I have a free hand in China this turn. As it was last turn. And the turn before that. It's probably time to just unite the whole thing.

Your own fault. You didn't accept terms.

And who says "Ness?" That sounds so much less elegant than N-E-S. Sometimes saying the acronym sounds better, but not in this case. (Do you say E-P-A or "Epa?")

Do it under the great Chu Empire! That will show the lazy players who don't send orders.

lurker's comment: *raises hand* One syllable is more convenient than three. Besides, N-E-S is reserved for Nintendo Entertainment System. Anyway...

I doubt that very much. The other Chinese nations are all going to be dealing with Steppe Invasions, so it'd be more of a union against a common threat thing.

Shu is dealing with a Steppe invasion? For that matter, Tong is? Put these things in your orders, Contempt! :crazyeye:

Well, the northern ones at least. Shu...just raids an' stuff.

How long till update?

And it better be decisive. Either my orders result in a total victory with achievement of all strategic objectives, either Syria ceases to exist. Okay, NK? I just want to get it over with. Not slug it out.

fook that. you wouldnt do that if it was europe or africa, or south america- so why should you do it whith China- if no player can arsed to unify it, then then dont let yourself be either.

no you arnt, if you were, you woud let them form more easilly- dont fook about with me, your just looking to make an exuse.

Meh, Xen, why should you care about China anyway? If NK wants to unite it, so be it.

Or did you want to conquer it so early?

:p
