My Lord Duke, the State of Hanover is in a despicable state! We have little factories to produce the needed civilian and military goods, our sailors are poked fun of due to the conditions of our ports! We dont even have any ports!
How did King George I reach England then? How did our people go to England on request of the British Parliament then? How did I come back from England to Hanover?

April 5-April 12 - 1815: Mount Tambora in the Dutch East Indies blows its top during an eruption event. 92,000 are killed during this eruption.
The Eruption of Mt. Tambora is the greatest eruption recorded in human history (The eruption of Santorini in Greece in about 1650 BC was greater, but no accounts of the explosion survive, possibly because of the destruction it caused to nearby civilizations)

The concussions produced by its explosions were felt at a distance of a thousand miles (1600km) all round; and their sound is said to have been heard even at so great a distance as seventeen hundred miles (2700km). In Java the day was darkened by clouds of ashes, thrown from the mountain to that great distance (three hundred miles or 500km), and the houses, streets, and fields, were covered to the depth of several inches with the ashes that fell from the air. So great was the quantity of ashes ejected, that the roofs of houses forty miles (65km) distant from the volcano were broken in by their weight. The effects of the eruption extended even to the western coasts of Sumatra, where masses of pumice were seen floating on the surface of the sea, several feet in thickness and many miles in extent."

Fearing consequences like those of the 1783-84 Laki Craters eruptions in Iceland, which caused 8 years of famine and the death of 20% of Icelandic population and heeding Dr. Benjamin Franklins paper which linked the following weather anomalies to the distant eruptions, Prince Willem II , reigning in the name of his father, who was on a state visit to Russia, immediately ordered to create stockpile of durable foods that will function as reserves and supplement for the Dutch markets in case of widespread food shortages, thus keeping inflation normal, creating a Haven of Normality in a world of plagued by famine.
Temporary laws were enacted prohibiting the export of foods for the duration of the famine and prohibiting merchants from holding back stashes of food in the hope that inflation would bring them a better price for the foods. These actions caused deep unhappiness with the merchants who saw an opportunity too carve a tidy profit on the backs of the commoners, but the population was deeply grateful for the governments intervention, in a speech addresses to the kingdom Prince Willem II declared:
