Sucession LK6 - Anyone plays - Iroqouis

Sequence of events as follows:

420 BC The Kingdom is surveyed and Garson sees that the legacy his great-great -great grandfather begin has contiuned well. A settler is completed in Niagara Falls, and is immediately ordered to the unspoiled forest in the middle of our great kingdom.

430 BC We are informed by a passing traverler the English are building the Hanging Garden. We are not worried the great project begin by our forefathers is nearly complete.

440 BC The settler north of Paris is sent to begin a great city on the coast crowning the top of our kingdom.

450 BC Rejoice great people the Hanging Garden in Salamanca has been completed. Joy will flow to our people. City governor is ordered to build a Library, to began what could be the cultural and educational center of the Iroquois nation. We are told people of a far land called Egpyt are build a Great Lighthouse.

460 ADomans sent an emissay requesting Literature, but with only a World Map to trade, we feel this is not good enough for our great achievement.

470 AD The area around Paris is being improved with irrigation as requested by our former leader. The evil Romans try and sneak forces by gallry on our south coast but are blocking by valiant Mounted warriors without incident.

480-510 AD Centertown is founded completed our culture influnce in the center of our great nation. A temple is ordered in honor of the event.

520 AD The Wicked Chinese are massing forces in Tatung, could soon be trouble in that area.

530-540 AD Great news! The wonderful Colossus is completed in the city of Great Rapids.

550-560 AD We love the King day is celebrated in Garsonia, what an honor.

570-580 AD The people of Tientsin, south of our captial center or so in awe they abandon the evil Chinese and join our glorious empire, we accept them with open arms, and sent a loyal mounted warrior to reinforce the city, just in case.

590-620 AD Making improvements, send settler north east to the land bridge blocking the evil chinese from our empire, I await the next great leader to determine where the blocking city will be founded.

Thus ends the time of Garson II, it has been a quiet time for culture improvement and force building. Two great wonders finished and three new cities founded. A satisfactory tenure.

Notes to future leaders: The Babylonians look to be sneaking forces into our territory in the south east I've sent a mounted warrior to intercept and block. The city of Kish needs to be connect via roadways I look for the Babylonians to move in that area very soon. We still need to watch the Chinese in the northeast I smell trouble. Good Luck!

Garsonga

Why not - I started this game, so I will play another round.

Garsonga - Please save the game. Don't use the autosave copy, as 620AD wasn't completed.

"The people of Tientsin, south of our captial center or so in awe they abandon the evil Chinese and join our glorious empire, we accept them with open arms, and sent a loyal mounted warrior to reinforce the city, just in case."
I am not surprised. Why I didn' fight over the city.

Pre-start trading - Buy another Roman worker. You can never have enough workers.

650 AD - Generic City is formed near the Chinesse border.

660 AD - Rush build Generic City a temple. Can we flip another Chinesse city :flamedevi: Cornerville switch to harbor. It would be nice to start trading luxuries.

670 AD to 730 AD - Irragation and roads.

740 AD - A weak deal, but $2/turn for furs to China. Give Egypt furs for Currency, territory map and $9. I am not to hot for givin up resources, but I trade England horses for $30 and $7/turn. Of course, they are on the other side of the nasty Babylon people ;) The trading is paying off, as the world attitude toward us improves. Disband the chariot, to help with cash flow. Horseville is formed.

750 AD - Akwesane formed, at the Babylon border.

770 AD - A new incense comes on line - It is immediately sold to Egypt for $21, world map and $6/turn. Science up to 20% and it makes a difference.

810 AD - Grand River is growing again :)

Summary - Make sure to CANCEL the Egypt deal after 20 turns.
After Forbidden palace completes in Paris, switch to regular Palace. Purely to queue up for the wonder rush time.

You have a settler heading toward the Babylon area. I see it going near the English cities.

You should see the Forbidden Palace come on line. I hope our science rate can increase from this.

Developer wanted - lots of irragation needed

This is an open ended games, anyone can play at anytime

Of course, at this rate the game may be over soon:crazyeyes

I apologize in advance - I did not get to finish all my turns because the evil wife refuses to cooparate and let me play:(

A sweet wind blows over the Iroquios Nation carrying with it a new leader. Chief Divine Wind takes the reigns of a strong and emerging empire with an evil and foul smelling neighbor to the North.

Chief Divine Wind tells the citizens that the Babs are an evil race that eat their own children. He also tells them the English are not much better because they eat their children along with tea. He introduces a plan to isolate the two English cities on "our" continent - Dover and Liverpool by declaring war with the Babs and taking their city of Samarra. Then, once the smelly English are cut off the great mounted warriors can sweep in and take over their two cities.

This plan will be tough because the Babs are fairly strong. Much preparation needs to go into pulling this off so Chief Divine decides to build a work force that will be the envy to the rest of the world. This work force will build our cities up and create a road network for our glorious army use in their march towards the Babs and English.

820 AD - Salamaca builds a market to sell Iroquios goods such as fine weed and feathers. Workers are next on Salamaca's agenda.
Garsonia completes its aqueduct and starts on workers. Workers begin road network to connect Kish to rest of nation.

830 AD - Salamanca builds worker/starts another.
Niagra falls builds mean looking spearman, starts a marketplace.
Cornerville builds an impressive library that has multiple copies of The Lord of the Rings. Rest of nation is envious.
Tientsim is connected to the rest of the nation - many pipes are lit in celebration...

840 AD - more workers completed by Salamanca and Garsonia.
Cattarausus builds a library, starts a swordsman for defense since it's so close to the Babs (likely counter attack point).
Chief Divine Wind decides it's time to trade techs for money so that the Iroquios science rate can be increased. The slow learning Romans and English both agree to purchase Currency for their world maps and 8gp per turn. This allows the science rate to be increased by 10%, knocking 6 turns off the time it will take to reach Feudalism.

850 AD - not much - workers keep improving and building roads.

860 AD - The Babs offer a world map for world map trade. Chief Divine Wind tries to get more out of them for the deal. The Babs refuse so no map for them!

860 AD - Yeah! Road to Kish is complete - not it will be extended toward Bab nation as an invasion route to Samarra.
Salamanca begins a run of building mighty mounted warriors for the invasion.
Gasonia finishes worker, starts marketplace.

880 AD - Leeville builds courthouse, starts market.
Tanawanda builds worker, starts market.
More improvements made across nation - irrigation progressing nicely.

890 AD - Orleans finishes library, starts worker.
Cow pasture near Kendtertown is irrigated - city is now growing again. Cows and indians regoice.

900 AD - More mounted warriors moved into square outside of Kish - this will be launch pad of invasion.
Akwesasne builds a temple, starts a library.

910 - 920 AD - Chief Divine Wind offers the Republic to the Chinese in yet another move to get more income. The poor Chinese can ante up anything so they will have to suffer without Republic for some time to come.
Kish starts a barracks - this will be important because Kish will be the central city in our future war.

Well, time bit me in the butt and I left some things unfinished, namely my planned invasion of Bab. There are 4 mounted warriors in the launch square outside of Samarra. A few more and we should be able to take at least that city and hold off a Bab counter attack.

The two english cities are both size 2, so I cant see them being destroyed when we finally invade them. That being the case, I have not let the settler in Kish build outside of these towns (this may be a bad decision...). Plus the only available square whould really eat into Kish's squares, which is something I never have the guts to do The settler is still there and the next player can decide whether to have him found a city or just join Kish.

We are running at a slight deficit, but our coffers are at 611 gold with other marketplaces waiting to go online soon. The Forbidden Palace is still on track in Paris, only 3 turns away. The western half will be chugging once it's up because their infrastructure is in much better shape now. The Chines to the Northwest have not done much at all and I dont fear anything coming that way for now.

Basically it looks like we are in good shape to start a fightin'.

This is my first sucession game so I hope I did not mess things up too bad.:D Good luck to the next Chief!

Behold, King Cdub has risen to lead the Iroquios. Blood will turn the rivers red in the Northeast in the coming reign....

930 AD- King Cdub orders all mounted warriors and swordsman to file into stacks. The military council praises the bold desicion.

940 AD- A nation that Cdub was not aware of has been destroyed, the Zulu. Invasion groups are coming into place on the eastern front.

950 AD- King Cdub goes into negotiations with Cleopatra, we obtain her world map and ivory, The Great King gives up his world map, 20 gold, furs, and his phone number :) . Workers are being ordered across the land, a swordsman is produced.

960 AD- Our horse deal with England is renewed. The shrewd Queen of England pays her world map, 3 gold/turn, and 7 gold. King Cdubs new Forbidden Palace is constructed in Paris, the King decided this will be a good place to throw wild parties and play drunk driver with da brothas' . Feudalism is discovered, monotheism is ordered to be studied. Barracks and workers are being ordered across the land.

970 AD- Salamance produces a swordsman, Cdub decides that Sun Tzu's Art of War shall be constructed. The Great King gets in a military alliance with Rome against the Babylonians, we offer them Feudalism and 10 gold. The invasion of Babylon begins on all fronts (Babylon, Nineveh, Samara):soldier: .

980 AD- Two more military alliances are conjured up with the English and Chinese against the Babs for 75 gold and 50 gold respectively. The King's men capture Babylon and Nineveh :goodjob: . The plan is to starve the population then build them back up with Iroquios. 5 workers are captured for the great Iroquios in the battles.

990 AD- Paris constructs a mounted warrior, another is ordered. 3 market places are constructed, then 3 swordsman are ordered. Cdub hears from his generals that the Babylonian town of Samarra has been captured and razed! A settler has been sent to the newly aquired territory.

1000 AD- Monotheism is purchased off Cleopatra for 295 gold, Cdub was hoping this would score points with the lady :crazyeyes . Barracks are being constructed across the land.

1010 AD- Kenderton produces a mounted warrior, another is ordered. Comedian Galagher entertains the masses  .

1020 AD- Paris constructs a mounted warrior, marketplace is ordered. The Great King constructs the city of Cdub in Samarra's old location, a temple is to be constructed.

1030 AD- 2 swordsman, barracks, and a marketplace are constructed.

1040 AD- Galley constructed in St. Regis, swordsman are ordered, when they are complete they will sail about 5 squares west and sink :( King Cdub masses another invasion army of 9 mounted warriors to be sent towards Akkad.

1050 AD- 2 workers are constructed, the King is big on infrastructure this time around! Barracks and soldiers are also being produced. Akkad falls into our hands :goodjob: ! This city is to be starved, the Babylonians fear the Iroquios without a doubt.

1060 AD- Cleopatra and her people create the Great Lighthouse.

1070 AD- 2 libraries are constructed, swordsman, marketplace, and barracks are ordered. King Cdub attends to his herb garden on the side of his palace  .

1080 AD- Mauch Chunk creates a mounted warrior, marketplace in the works.

1090 AD- 3 swordsman are created, a barracks is constructed. 4 mounted warriors are ordered to be produced.

1100 AD- Temple constructed in Babylon, barracks are ordered. The galley that is about to sink next turn is loaded with the dead swordsman ;) . The invasion of Ur has begun.

1110 AD- Marketplace in Paris complete, a library is ordered. The attack on Ur is not successful, the next attack will surely take the city.

1120 AD- 2 workers are constructed. King Cdub's great scientists discover Chivalry, Engineering is ordered to be studied. Another large army lies just outside of Ur.

Well there are my 20 turns! To the next ruler--- Ur shall definitely fall in the next turn, you have plenty of military to pull it off. I have added 4 new cities to the great Iroqoius empire; Babylon, Nineveh, Akkad, and Cdub. I stacked most of our workers into large groups to get things done faster, I wonder why most others dont do this??? The infrastructure is improving immensely. I also produced barracks in a lot of cities- veteran units are soooo much nicer then regular units. Good Luck to whoever takes over...

Ur was conquered 1140. Other cities got conquered soon too. Babylonias were destroyed 1200 AD. Same year city was built to where I razed one Babylonian city. I changed some barracks production to other because I believe that we get Sun Tzu's because now our capitol has very good production. Mayby we should keep peace now that we could develope some science. We have quite lot of troops. So we could also conquer some more.

Something just came up and I won't be able to do my turns. Sorry, if I kept anyone waiting. I can play later on tonight but feel free to go ahead of me.

Salmanca can finish Sun Tzu's, Sistine Chapel or Leonardo's next turn, chose Leonardo's due to the future cost savings and rapid replacement of units, we already have barracks in most of the cities and there aren't too many more on our continent, Sistine Chapel was hard to turn down due to the culture but I really like the cheaper upgrade of units (we have alot of spearman and mounted warriors to upgrade)

1260AD
Salmanca completed Leonardo's, started Sistine (probably won't get it, 36 turns, but will have other wonders available)
Oil Springs completes Cathedral, starts worker, we need lots of infrastructure help
Hurried production of Temples in 7 cities that were acquired in last realm from Babs, need to get the culture borders filled in.

Centertown finished Pikeman, started another
Discovered Gunpowder, started working on Education (6 turns)

1310AD
Egypt wanted to cancel our Fur for Ivory trade, had to add 11 gold and 7 gold/turn to keep it, we don't have any other luxuries available to trade to us so they kinda got us over the barrel
Paris finished Pikeman, started on Knight
Traded Gunpowder to America for Education and 9 gold/turn
Traded Gunpowder to Japan for territory map, 14 gold and 2 gold/turn, both America and Japan are on another continent so don't mind trading them Gunpowder
Traded Education to India for world map, 30 gold and 10 gold/turn
Traded Education to England for world map, 12 gold and 16 gold/turn
Now researching Music Theory (7 turns) so we can go for JS Bach's, tried raising science % which cut discovery time to 5 turns but it will cost us 58 gold each turn (right now we are earning 51 gold/turn would go to deficit of 7/turn if raised)

We are still in much need of worker improvements, some cities are stagnant due to lack of food and some of the cities are still not hooked into the road network. The early part of the empire is in fairly good shape and I was moving the workers toward the new area but there is still much work to be done. We also need to upgrade the Mounted Warriors to Knights. I almost moved the research towards Astronomy and then Navigation so that we can start trading with the other continent, I will leave that decision to the next ruler. We have many excess furs and some incense that we can't currently trade that could be earning us some money. China is very weak, but England is probably the next target for expansion. I tried to get our infrastructure built up so that we would be better prepared for war.
I am resigning early, good luck to the next ruler. This was fun, I look forward to playing again.

Downloaded and starting to play.

Well, this is where you can tell people have different game plans. I definitely would have went for Sistine Chappel. Not just the culture, but major help with unhappiness. I will try and get us Bach's Catherdral.

Pre movement - Builder Lee turns off the unit animations - GACK!, switches Nineveh to Barracks, and start upgradeing units. I love desperate for world map - Rome gives $20 & $5/turn. I can't wait for Navigation and overseas trading.

1325 AD - Buy a Roman worker, we still have a lot of work to do on our land.

1335 AD - Tatung defects to us :) China finally loosens the purse strings, furs for $3/turn. Not much, but we have a lot of useless furs. We sell Rome World map for $20, then buy another worker for $27. I will take $7 workers anyday of the week.

1340 AD - Bach's Cathedral started in Salamanca. Palace begun in Garsonia to queue up for the trading company. China also gives us $3/turn for incense.

1345 AD - We are sorely lacking embassies. Establish one with Persia.

1350 AD - I general HATE trading tech this late, but our cash position really sucks. Sell Monotheism to China for $3 / $5 turn. Music theory to England for $40 and $14/turn. Montheism to Rome for $18 / $2 turn. Music Theory to America for $20 / $1 turn. Persia told to shove his worthless offer. Music Theory to India for $6 / $16 turn. Embassy with Egypt established. Thebes is building a granary with 9 extra food a turn :lol

1355 AD - End of the horses to England. Embassy with Japan.

1360 AD - The last of the embassies are established.

1365 AD to 1410 AD - Upgrading units, building infastructure.

Summary - Only 1 pikeman left to upgrade. Still need to upgrade 10 mounted warriors. Palace holding shields for the trading company. Finally have our needed embassies.
