Suggestions for Dynamic Names

I feel like the Muslim world's diversity is underrepresented in RFC, so here is the Medieval middle east (not sure if implemented already, adjectives add Sultanate/Caliphate):

Arabia, ruled from Mecca: Sultanate/Caliphate of Hedjaz; ruled from Baghdad: Abbasid (could also represent respawned medieval Babylon)
Persia, if still surviving in 1000s: Ghorid
If Phoenicia can respawn, then it would become Almoravid if in North Africa, I cannot think of anything in Levant, Syria or Zengids perhaps
Egypt: Fatimid or Mamluk (I recommend latter)
Turkey (I recommend preponing spawn to 1050 or so): Seljuks

There are already Seljuks in the game, they are a separate (minor) civ.

I suggest:

America under Authoritarian:
New World Order
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_(conspiracy_theory)

^Now that's as badass as a dynamic name will ever be (with the possible exceptions of "Third Reich" and "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics").

Haha yes, I would love to see the "New World Order" ominously towering above the scoreboard like a fearsome eagle of authoritarianism.

Or be the New World Order inflicting my supremacy over the world...

By the way, can the Seljuks have vassals?

Leoreth, why not just use Yuan Dynasty as the name of China when vassaled to Mongolia?
While Kublai Khan proclaimed himself the ruler of the entire Mongol Empire, we know from historians that it was often cast into doubt and how regional warlords were only influenced by him by very little. His own power was limited to just China, Mongolia & Corea mostly, so I feel it is more appropriate than Khanate of Dumdadu.

Yuan Empire is currently the Mongol name in case they have their capital in China.

Yeah, IMO, Yuan Dynasty is more appropriate than the awkward styled Khanate of Dumdadu.. Though they do not officially *vassal* to Mongol, but it's Chinese ruled by Mongol people.. Ming Dynasty is when Chinese is ruled by Chinese again.. cmiiw.

P.S. Sorry for bringing this up again. I know the discussion is already finished ;)

For an authoritarian America, I usually use the name United State of America, in the singular. I feel it gets the point across while still being familiar.

For vassals of Communist Russia: [civ adjective] Soviet Socialist Republic
For vassals of Communist China: [civ name] Special Administrative Region

For Indonesia as a vassal of England: British Malaya
As a vassal of everyone else in Europe: [civ adjective] East Indies

For Italy as a vassal of fascist Germany: Italian Social Republic
For France as a vassal of fascist Germany: French State (aka Vichy France)

For authoritarian France: Empire of the French (France under Napoleon)

I'm playing as Rome and am in Autocracy right now. My civ, however, is called the 'Italian Republic'. Why? Republic is in the same column of civics as Autocracy. Or do autocracies tend to call themselves 'republics'?

If your Autocracy relies on a democratic framework (i.e. Representation or Universal Suffrage), it'll also use the republican name.

Oh, ok, thank you. I overlooked that (I'm in Representation).

Egypt respawned as the Sultanate in about 1100 AD in my game, but they briefly stayed in Pantheon - No religion. Maybe they should get a name like 'Newer Kingdom of Egypt' when they are not Islamic but not industrial or modern either?

How about "Coptic Kingdom"? (Coptic referring to the language, not the form of Christianity)

That's certainly a better idea, because it's a lot more historical than my suggestion ;)
Oh, and I just capitulated Turkey. It is called 'Provincia of Asia Minor' now. Asia Minor is Latin for Turkey, but considering I own all tiles of Turkey now, 'Provincia of Mesopotamia' would be more fitting.

That's the problem when vassal names derive from their region instead of ethnicity. We'd probably need the Latin word for Turks here.

It's Turca. So, Provincia of Turca?

Curiously.
Indonesia : Provincia of Malaeroum (or Iavanica)?
Korea : Provincia of Coreanica

Something like that?
