It does; however, endless debates on what this or that moronic TV host said about this or that obscure US politician are about as interesting (to me and most non-USians) as the precise chemical composition of horsecrap.

I think that OT by now is much more dominated by the serial threads. The rest of the threads- as was mentioned- are usually about US politics or related stuff.

There is the rare science or art thread (by hypermod's decree you can now post art or science threads in the OT too), but other than that it is more centralised than before.

Fewer debates on topics I am interested in (international relations, EU, global issues), more talk on trivial/obscure nonsense (90% related to US 'politics'). Religion-related debates also seem to have ebbed.
