This lead to us losing a sea-bound Galley with 2 Knights in it, bound for one of Lizzie's cities.
The slightly better news: Lizzie has 2 cities left, but they're miles from each other, and us.
The really good news: Not only do we have the aforementioned
academy, but thanks to Monty landing right next door to one of our Armies on the "mainland", our scribes in New Amsterdam, with the help of one of our Great Leaders, rapidly penned an
epic poem, detailing the deeds of our
heroic troops. Word has it, our Elite troops in the field have been somehow inspired by this work - but I'm yet to see it, the bunch of slackers that they are.
Okay, details:
0 550 Starve London and Hastings, flip risks are still too high. Rush a Settler in Seattle, I plan to use it to get us a base closer to that Inca Saltpeter. Starve Tlacopan as well. Guessing the leader hanging round is to rush MilAc once we get MilTrad. We have two Armies that can't go anywhere without Galleons and they've not been used in anger (HE is unavailable and not built anywhere!). However the ability to build them is probably better than having another right now.
IT: Aztecs drop a unit off on the mainland, I'll sort the HE issue. Pachman asks to renew the MA, I tell him to get lost. New Amsterdam built a Knight and doesn't have a Barracks, NA->Court. Arnhem Aqua->Lib. Seattle Settler->Worker. DBear Worker->Harbor.
1 560 Kill the invading Aztec LB with the ACav Army - now where to build HE? Hague has a Palace pre-build but would waste too many shields. Think I'll use the spare Leader! Rush HE in New Amsterdam.

4 590 Capture Tepethingy. Dial up Monty and get peace, we've cleaned up his nearby settlements. Pick up Theology from Smoke for Metallurgy, all his gold, and a Worker. Metallurgy+Incence+Dyes to Monty for Wines (NOT part of the peace deal).
