No worries DB. I'll take 2 leaders any day. What happened to the leaders? By chance would one be available to load on a boat for Pachman? Fortunately muskets are not an issue so we have time to create some hostilities with Pachman. Are the Aztecs talking?
 
No Salt is hardly a bind. I'd rather have 2 Swiss Mercs than 1 Musket any day.
So we won't have Cavs - we got Knights, that not enough? One leader for an Army, the other for HE is what we should be doing....

Turn 0 Chem in 10. Move lux from 20% to 10% cash goes from 18gpt to 57gpt. Check the trade picture. Pachman has no horses but gives 26gpt, 53g for Chivalry and I throw in a ROP for some potential intel (or idiocy depending on what side of the fence you fall). Turn science up from 40% to 60% at +15gpt.
IBT 2 Aztec galleys appear near Seattle. Smoke has one near Den Helder.
460 AC elite knocks out spear and I introduce DBear Island....

Sign peace with Smoke and he gives 98g, 1gpt and we will use an ROP as well for some idiocy (or intel). He's polite. London 2.3 flip and Hastings 1.5. They better not. :hmm: Chem down to 5.

IBT Amsterdam disorder, cycle and save 3 others. They must've been fans of the Smoke wars. The palace gets a roof. :hmm: Do we have some brits building this thing or what?
470 Chem now in 3 as Aztecs are long. Disperse the Phoenicians for 25g. 2 horses in Smoke's territory to view future real estate development.

IBT Mayans and English make peace. Aztec galleys continue north. Knights of Templar completes and it sets off our Golden Age!!! :beer: English start Sun Tzu, Mayans start Leo's and Aztecs complete Sun Tzu.
480 Incans have Theo but no deal for powder straight up. We'll wait. The Hague is switched to palace prebuild for...Sistines I guess :hmm: Den Helder volcano mountain road completes connecting the northern east coast to the core. Breda established south of there.

IBT Uhoh Chango. Aztec galley out of the fog drops off a bow at Holwerd's empty doorstep. In naval action (always exciting) near Breda we sink 1 of the Aztec galleys and do damage to the elite 2/5 but lose a galley. Incans start Leo's.
490 Action at Brighton--we kill 1 spear but other hangs on as both horses redline. Oops drop settler off in wrong spot now that I see the 2 open incense.

IBT Aztecs take a gold piece at Holwerd and sink an empty galley too. Chem to Metal.
500 Dang Incans have chem :( Trade it to Smoke for 42gpt and 40g. Metal in 5.
Back to Brighton--Horse loses and promotes spear to 2/4. However trumpets please...dadadada...Groovy Soul Dude takes Brighton and produces a new leader Dirck "Dig" Hartog.

510 Take back Holwerd as AC promotes. Igor's Gal sinks the elite galley east of Atlanta.

IBT Horses see a great battle scene on the Mayan-Aztec borders with bows flying evverywhere and even see a Aztec leader die. Wish I had a pic. Lizzie pops a galley.
520 Merge some workers. We our way beyond our limit and should disband some archers. I wait for Leo's and let the team decide that.

IBT Aztec galley appears again. Blah blah. What's he think he can do.
540 Turn research to 20% +299 gpt. We take out Tlacopan vs. 2 reg muskets as MI redlines and Elite AC 3/5. Pretty lucky there but had reinforcements next. Lose another galley at Holwerd but redline theirs.

IBT Bow attacks MI at Tlacopan and redlined MI promotes. Lose a mountain horse in the Aztec-Mayan theatre. SoZ obsoletes as metal completes.
Leerdam disorder, cycle no others.
550 Incans have metal. Dang. MT in 5. Prep for west island and land at Tlacopan. Not much else.

------Summary------
We have Dirck "Dig" Hartog awaiting instructions in Rotterdam. I think we should disband most of the archers since we are way over our limit.
I've prepped the west coast for Lizzie's destruction in 6. We have 15 more turns at 42gpt with Smoke. We can cancel the MA with Pachman vs Aztecs if we want. We're getting 26gpt and ROP from Pachman for 10 more turns.
The Aztecs are begging for peace but WW isn't a problem. Lux gets tweaked anywhere from 10 to 20%. I would press on. Teayo's saltpetre is 5 turns from Philly. Leo's will complete I think in 2 but The Hague will eventually need a place to put it's prebuild. I let you wonder guys figure what's best.
 
The establishment of an academy to train the future military commanders of our many armies would be most desirous. Maybe in the Hague. Does it have the capability to do 50+spt in the future?
 
We haven't been given the option for writing heroic epics yet.
Not so sure about 50spt for The Hague anytime soon. It has quite a few shields stored up and is 38 turns for the palace IIRC. Rotterdam and the southern core rock.
 
Well, let's just look at the save, shall we?

Okay, first, here's the bad news: we have serious WW problems since Lizzie landed a lone Archer next to London and I couldn't get any units there quick enough :blush: This lead to us losing a sea-bound Galley with 2 Knights in it, bound for one of Lizzie's cities. :wallbash:

The slightly better news: Lizzie has 2 cities left, but they're miles from each other, and us.

The really good news: Not only do we have the aforementioned academy, but thanks to Monty landing right next door to one of our Armies on the "mainland", our scribes in New Amsterdam, with the help of one of our Great Leaders, rapidly penned an epic poem, detailing the deeds of our heroic troops. Word has it, our Elite troops in the field have been somehow inspired by this work - but I'm yet to see it, the bunch of slackers that they are.

Okay, details:
0 550 Starve London and Hastings, flip risks are still too high. Rush a Settler in Seattle, I plan to use it to get us a base closer to that Inca Saltpeter. Starve Tlacopan as well. Guessing the leader hanging round is to rush MilAc once we get MilTrad. We have two Armies that can't go anywhere without Galleons and they've not been used in anger (HE is unavailable and not built anywhere!). However the ability to build them is probably better than having another right now.

IT: Aztecs drop a unit off on the mainland, I'll sort the HE issue. Pachman asks to renew the MA, I tell him to get lost. New Amsterdam built a Knight and doesn't have a Barracks, NA->Court. Arnhem Aqua->Lib. Seattle Settler->Worker. DBear Worker->Harbor.

1 560 Kill the invading Aztec LB with the ACav Army - now where to build HE? Hague has a Palace pre-build but would waste too many shields. Think I'll use the spare Leader! Rush HE in New Amsterdam.

2 570 Capture Huexasomething. Found New Rotterdam, it will allow us to irrigate the northern part of the continent.

3 580 Disband a couple of Barb camps but that's about it.

IT: MilTrad->Theo, but Theo's available for sale now so I'll buy it and start on PP. Utrecht Kni->Kni. Get the MilAcad message, Hague switched, due next turn. Maastricht Kni->Kni. Haarlem Market->Aqua. We have War Weariness. I plan on making peace with Monty this turn anyway.

4 590 Capture Tepethingy. Dial up Monty and get peace, we've cleaned up his nearby settlements. Pick up Theology from Smoke for Metallurgy, all his gold, and a Worker. Metallurgy+Incence+Dyes to Monty for Wines (NOT part of the peace deal).

7 620 Lose 2 Horses outright attacking Oxford :( 3rd wins, still an Elite Spear in Oxford.

8 630 Take out Oxford.

10 650 Grab back London, but too late for the WW. The boat that sunk had 2 Knights in it. I've MMd for happiness and bumped Lux up - finish off Lizzie as quick as possible. Possibly move after Pachman's Saltpeter too - I've included a screenie.

As you can see, Den Haag got the MilAcad simply because it had the shields, and I'd used the spare MGL for the Epic.
 
Dang I thought I changed all the non-rax units being built. He needed to be promoted anyhow. Did you disband the archers or are we going to Leo them?
 
I think we should disband a load of stuff on the mainland - mainly Archers and Spears, and any Warriors. The GA will end soon and the strain on our economy will go up.

Yes we have saltpeter. It's not connected yet but there are 3 workers & 2 slaves on it and next turn Bede can just hit the 'R' key a few times and start producing cavs.

Sorry about the lack of screenshot I hadn't downloaded DocT's tool yet and didn't want to burden your modem, A-K. ;)

I'll try to get a pic from MapStat now that I'm at work and post it here momentarily

There are 8 knights in the yellow circle and 6 more in the green circle. I had to draw the roads from memory but that's purty close to where they are.

EDIT:: BTW Cuzco has the great wall so all of the continental Incan cities have walls
 
D'oh, forgot to say, give Pachman Metallurgy before declaring! Nice work though :)
