0) 1250BC: Ok, I see we're doing the lone scientist research to Republic. Good. We have 7 warriors and 2 archers. Not so good. Too bad we onlyh have curraghs, I would like to claim Long Island before the English do. But the Americans are first. We have elephants, no one else is going for Zeus. Turn lux up, as Amsterdam would riot next turn with pop growth.

1) 1225BC: Hague rax-->archer. Workers move n to road to New York (soon to be renamed New Amsterdam). What are the warrior and worker doing next to Bedehoven?

2) 1200BC: Abe tells us to move our curragh. I agree, while he's talking, I trade Law for Maps + 80. Amsterdam settler-->settler. 5 turn settler factory? Remember to switch worker to scientist to keep getting Republic.

3) 1175BC: Barb horse kills our warrior. Curragh heads e to large continent. Switch workers around in Utrecht to increase production.

4) 1150BC: Worker completes road but is killed by horse.

5) 1125BC: Bedehoven pillaged. Send archer south to deal with barbs.

6) 1100BC: Hague archer-->galley. Utrecht archer-->archer. Maastricht built. Curragh contacts Aztecs, they are primitive.

7) 1075BC: Amsterdam settler-->settler. Nice 5 turn factory. Rotterdam rax-->archer. Arnhem worker-->warrior. Decide on warrior for the tundra barbs. Cuzco builds Oracle. England has Construct. They want a lot for it. Map, Law, Horseback + 425. I decide to pull the trigger, if it's wrong oh well. We still have gold in reserve.

8) 1050BC: Workers connect Eindhoven to Maastricht.

9) 1025BC: Eindhoven worker-->rax.

10) 1000BC: Move warriors to Maastricht to prevent flipping.

Unfinished business: Rotterdam and Utrecht will pop archers next turn. Have archers in tundra kill barb camp and settle the land. Northern settler is to grab the cows.

Session review: Lost warrior and worker, gained 2 archers (soon to be 4), 2 workers, picked up 2 techs in trade, made another contact.
 
If we burn some cash, can we get Rep any faster? The way the AI fools are going we're going to be self researching the whole game.
 
I really can't increase the rate without affecting lux and chancing riots. I had to turn lux up to 30% to prevent Amsterdam from rioting when they expand to 5. Wanted to keep the settler factory going.
 
I will run with it tomorrow.

I see the irony in this one. We've had some crazy downpours the whole time I've been down here. I'll be headed home tomorrow. so I could definately play after eldar takes on the highly productive Abe.

Iroquois Pliskin is a character in Metal Gear Solid 2. I accidentally misspelled it. :blush: I think Thunderfall can change it for me, but I haven't bothered asking.

Why was Delft built where it was? :dubious: We have plenty of open land to the south, we don't need to be building so close together. This is not ICS.
 
It was the last spot to fill the border with water. 3 more cities can backfill in the next 12. If we want to make it temporary so be it.
 
We need to attack as soon as possible. How many archers and cats do we have to attack with right now?

Delft and Maastricht may need some more defense, though. How strong are we compared to America militarily?

As for Delft's placement, I think it may be too close. While I agree we should settle that area before America can, maybe it should have been moved 1 N?
 
Agree, looks like enough to take NY right now. Wake up the stack, declare, move in. Figure on 2 Spears right now, plus Abe'll whip a 3rd next turn. So 3 Spears, all regulars.
