0): 1150AD. We are far ahead in research, so we CAN turn it off if we want, but we're only 5 from industry, and factories are good. Also, a switch to commie would do wonders for our outlying cities. AT LEAST get national, so we can hire some cops. I want to get that island city from Monty, but he won't give it up. Time to beat him up some more. I turn science UP, to get industry in 4. I have to switch some of the farmers to taxmen to balance the budget.
1) 1160: Chicago rax-->cannon. Atzcapotzalco rax-->Swiss. Delft cav-->uni. Liverpool settler-->worker. Tilburg lib-->market. Andahuaylas cav-->rax. Middelburg aqua-->rax. Groovy Soul Dude takes out Barb Camp. Drop off mace army from SS Whompadee in Tlacopan. Leet knight wounds a musket outside Teotihuacan, retreats back to city. Monte's End finishes it off. Strange--The Flying Plissens get knocked to yellow while taking on Tenochtitlan, while the supposedly inferior Old School was still in the green. Calixtahuaca taken by leet cavs--no leader. Leerdam and Den Helder switched to libs--Den Helder can become an Ironworks city upon expansion. Move workers to road 2nd salt outside Machu Picchu.
2) 1170: Monty lands a cav outside Oxford. Barbs kill 2 workers. Den Helder lib-->aqua (prebuild for Ironworks). Lauwersoog swiss-->bank. Den Rower rax-->cannon. Leerdam lib-->market. New Middlburg worker-->harbor. Monty still won't give us Chiconautla, so I'm going to try flipping it by rushing culture in Leeds. Start w/lib. Horseman makes clean kill vs. cav outside Oxford, no promo. Army of Darkness takes out 3 muskets, is redlined. Old School kills a reg musket, redlines another musket before dying--damn!
3) 1180: Eindhoven cav-->cav. Coventry court--aqua. Leeds lib-->temple. New Maastricht harbor-->temple. The Flying Pliskens and the Army of Darkness avenge Old School and take Tenochtitlan w/Sun Tzu.
4) 1190: A surprise counterattack has Monty retaking Tenochtitlan. Learn industry, start national. Arequipa swiss-->market. Breda settler-->court.
5) 1200: Amsterdam bank-->Newton U. Arnhem bank-->cav. Den Helder switched to Ironworks. Monte's End is redlined, but takes Copan with the Mausoleum. Rotterdam switched to Suffrage.
6) 1210: Chicago cannon-->cannon. Newcastle settler-->court. Nasca worker-->swiss. Leeds expands.
7) 1220: Rotterdam Suffrage-->factory. Ica settler-->cav. Brighton worker-->cannon. Leeds temple-->uni. Blistering Heights founded, starts swiss. Monte's End takes Tikal along w/some trebs.
8) 1230: Monty lands a knight by unprotected London. Crap. Dover and Atico produce workers. New Delft built, starts cav. Rush frigate in Oxford. Malinalco taken.
9) 1240: Monty sneaks into London. I won't get caught napping again. Learn national, start commie. Knight retakes London. Tlatelolco taken. We STILL can't get that island city in peace talks. Damn, I hate that an early conquest is going to be snuffed by a single island city. Rush Uni in Leeds. We're going to have to keep Tzintzuntzen alive and try to flip the island city, I see no other way.
10) 1250: Cuzco settler-->cannon. Thought I caught all the settler builds--we don't need any more if we're going conquest. Bedehoven uni-->factory. Eindhoven cav-->factory. Xochicalco worker-->cav. Leeds uni-->cathedral. Saltpeter Stealer starts rifle. New Breda built, starts rifle. Coal City founded, starts rifle. Get new leader, make new army, Dutch Masters. Frigate takes on Aztec caravel, sinks.
Post) We have 57.1% of land. We really don't need any more settlers. The island city's going to be a problem if we go for conquest. Either try to get it from peace talks, wait for it to flip, or rush for marines. IF we are going for conquest, do not attack Tzintzuntzen until the fate of the island city is decided. Meanwhile, get units in position to wipe the Mayas.
