Takeo takes on Deity

@Blahness- Thanks, glad you like it! The fate of Egypt will be in the next update.

@tupaclives- Thanks, appreciate the support! Need to finish Egypt and America and then Babylon will be next on the list.

1420 A.D.

No where to hide for Cleopatra!
Egypt has been whittled down to 5 cities and 10 infantry, on a small island. The four armies, that landed in 1410, capture 4 of the Egyptian cities. New Alexandria sits all alone. The 'empire' of Egypt is but a shadow of it's former self. In 1420 A.D., the four French armies bear down on New Alexandria, wipe out four defending infantry, and the city is captured.

Before her execution, Cleopatra had a few last words.:egypt:

Egypt is no more and is relegated to the history books.

Babylon and America are next!:ar15:

Damn dude, how do you stand the corruption in that? That many cities... o.o

Palace/Forbidden palace Zoomed out pics, please. ^_^

Anyway, this is VERY entertaining, one of the better stories I've read in my long time here.

@Blahness: 5 days?

@Takeo: How are you going to stop the AI from settling on the razed Egyptian cities?
And: That small island at the south is a civ? Russia, maybe?

Thank You!
This is a picture of the core, showing locations of both palaces.

And this is former Zululand. Corruption is not a concern, cause these are all specialist farms. First, wanted to get a bunch of cities to size-7 to get free support for 3 units, under republic. Second, irrigate and rail to get excess food to support specialists, that are either taxmen or scientists, depending on the situation.

Here is a 'taxman' farm-

Currently I'm not trying to stop it. Any newly settled city will be small for a while, corrupt, only 1 or 2 units inside and easy to sqaush later. Trying to eliminate one civ at a time.
That small island is Russia.

@knupp715- Thanks, glad you're following.

I don't have a gun to hug, but I still love this story. Hope you keep it up after this is done!

@Prof. Yaffle, Bobv13, Lord_Iggy and Mirc- Glad you all like it! Do plan on starting another story/gamelog, cause my computer doesn't even reach the minimum specs to run [civ4] . Off of work for 3 weeks starting friday, so will finish this soon and start another one. Don't know if I want to play straight up or make a mod.

Awww, you get xmas break this Friday? I have to go to school for another week after that. :(

I'm with Lord Iggy. I've got another week to go until break... stupid finals:mad:

Anyhow, this is good as always, and its all wrapped up now. The only question I have is this: why don't you use Communism? This is Conquests, so you can gain enough shields and commerce from to make up for the loss of the extra commerce from Republic.

But then again that's me and this is your game, but that doesn't change the fact I'm a big fan of C3C Communism:D

Never have used communism yet. I'll have to give it a try sometime.
Probably haven't tried it cause I like to purchase things with gold.

The game is not completely wrapped up yet. There is still Babylon and China, which are both in the modern age, and Japan which is at the end of the industrial.

Update on Operation: Steel Spear
This conquest has been going rather fast, especially against riflemen. America did hook up rubber for a couple of turns and there has been a few infantry to deal with. But, there have been no units lost, cause any army in the yellow/red is moved to a city to heal. The counter-attack from America has been meager, since they are at war with everyone!
This picture shows the current state of progress and the paths of attack.

The razing of all these cities has opened access to furs and Beaver City is founded to claim it. No more paying Japan for luxuries! Woohoo! France now has 5 local luxuries.

Research and Trades
Ecology was discovered in 1425 A.D., after 8 turns of research. Scientists are now working towards Synthetic Fibers, in order to build the almighty modern armor.
351-ecology.JPG

French scientists 'educate' Russia, ushering them into the modern age, and gaining Rocketry as their bonus tech. Too bad that Babylon already has Rocketry, cause Hammurabi has several thousand gold saved up again.
358-ecology_for_rockety.JPG

Russia also asked for Sanitation, but it was taken off the table. Have already given them enough free tech, and they were willing to settle for just Ecology anyway. About 8-9 turns will be saved, by not having to research Rocketry.
Cha-ching! Aluminum is already hooked up!

Battle Plans for Babylon
Once Synthetic Fibers and Amphibious Warfare are researched, the time will come to take out Babylon. Marine and modern armor(MA) armies should do some serious damage. The map below shows the four initial objectives(yellow circles) for when the war starts.
372-wm_attack_plan.JPG

It may be hard to spot America in this shot(cause they ain't there). The story of their demise will be in the next update.

Objective 1-
Currently, this is the only source of oil, that Babylon has access to. A couple of carriers, loaded with bombers, will be stationed offshore. The bombers will bomb the oil, to disconnect it from the rail network, on the first turn of the war. Don't want Hammy building any oil-based reinforcements, to play with.
373-oil.JPG

Objective 2-
Babylon captured this small island from America. Need to take these 3 cities out, to keep Babylon from basing any bombers there. Only the southern shore, of France, will then need to be defended from bombardment. Fighters are currently being based all along the south shore, on air superiority missions, to shoot down any bombers.
374-west_shield.JPG

Objective 3-
The main attack will strike Nineveh. First, several dozen bombers will do what damage they can. Second, about five marine armies will finish off the defenders and take the city. Then transports, carrying 10(or more) MA armies, will move in and unload. The modern armor will immediately attack Eridu, if possible, or move atop the mountain(south of Eridu). A bunch of mobile sams, tow infantry, an infantry army and a settler will also be dropped off. Nineveh will be disbanded, and the settler will found atop the ivory.
371-attack_ninieveh.JPG

Objective 4-
There will still be around 25 armies located on the super-continent. About 8 of these are tank armies, and the rest cavalry. These armies will sweep in from all directions and attempt to take out what they can. Then, all surviving armies will be transported to the southern end of Babylon.

Good planning, I can't wait to see the execution! =D

1455 A.D.

Another Superpower goes down!
At the beginning of this turn, America has 11 cities left. Six cities are on the mainland and five(yellow circles) are on islands.
362.jpg

Oakland, Tacoma, Cincinnati, Detroit and Dallas are all captured, leaving only New Baltimore(on the mainland) and all the island cities. During the battle for Oakland, a leader emerged- Napoleon II. After gathering an army around himself, Napoleon II headed for New Baltimore with his fresh troops. Unknown to him, America had offered a sweet deal to France. Peace was made with America and all the island cities were signed over to France.
365-peace_amer.JPG

Ignoring all reports from home, Napoleon II charged towards New Baltimore. All armies he passed, hurt or otherwise, followed his lead and attacked. The battle was fierce, bloody and rewarding. For America, an infantry, 7 riflemen and 9 cavalry fell in defense of New Baltimore. For France, not only did Napoleon II lead the charge, but a new hero helped French forces prevail- Richelieu II. The city is captured, but Lincoln and his entourage are no where to be found. Soon after, Lincoln's flagship & protecting fleet are seen off the coast of Dallas.
370-conquests.JPG

It doesn't take long to intercept the outdated American sailing vessels. The fleet of frigates encircle the flagship, to protect her, and defiantly fires their ancient cannons.
water.JPG

All the frigates are picked off one by one, each sinking beneath the waves, leaving the flagship all alone. There is no surrender forthcoming, and the flagship soon joins the others in the deep.
