Tea Party leader desirous of Property requirement for voting

The military is not a part of the economy.
Since they secure goods and services from private businesses, they most certainly are. But getting back to the thread topic, would you support a member of the military not being able to vote because they lived on government property or government-subsidized housing?

No. But then again, I never agreed with Philips anyway.

Valid.

:goodjob:

After looking them up, I do see why you'd say that, since they are much more moderate.

And that's what makes them good members of Congress.

Oh really? Because Obama definitely wasn't one of the extremely few senators to vote against the partial birth abortion ban act, that whole thing's just in my head...

Late term abortions are not what you think they are. It was immoral to ban it.

Libertarianism is about the complete absence of government from the economy and the people, right? Why is banning abortion allowed?

Well, first of all, we're talking about Partial birth abortions here. At nine months. I thought you stated at something like 26 weeks you believed the fetus was a life.

Second of all, to me that would be like asking "Why is banning murder allowed?"

I am unable to comment on "partial birth" abortions, as I am not clear about the details. At 26 weeks, the foetus is generally considered to be alive by most standards, except the legal variety.

Uh oh. Abortion.

I repeat.
Uh oh. Abortion argument.

We all know our opinions on the abortion argument and nothing will change until you learn basic biology and neuroscience or we find Jesus in the cereal box.

Now, if we can derail the thread into Libertarianism.....

Yet I wasn't arguing it, I was explaining what Partial Birth Abortion was, since he didn't know (This started a few posts back by Cutlass saying Partial Birth Abortion was OK.)

Isnt there an internet rule saying that every thread is underneath always about Libertarianism? :crazyeye:

I'm trying to defuse the debate before it starts.

Not to my knowledge, but lets make one.

The Compliment to Godwin's Law, Rands Law. The longer any thread goes on, the chances of Libertarianism being mentioned reaches one. This Law does not render Godwin's incorrect.

It's interesting that the AMA doesn't recognise it as a medical term and, frankly, they should know. But that's not on topic, as Ajidica has kindly pointed out.
