Hi guys and galls,

After spending to much time lurking this forum I want to join TEAM AMAZON for the upcoming Demogame. I have read Sulla's extensive posts about the Aplyton Demogame and loved it!
My CIV4 skills aren't that great, but you need some crazy dutch people on your team! I did some civ4BTS games online but nothing worth mentioning.

What can I contribute to the team?

• Getting coffee for those later hours
• Custom avatars
• Refreshing opinion from a complete noob.

You certainly can, pretty thank you. Yes, welcome to Team AMAZON. Glad to hear that we finally won you over. We could always use some crazy dutch people on our team. If you know any others be sure to tell 'em to sign up. Since we're a team, it's alright if each member doesn't know everything, and the more team members the more we know as a group. Any contributions are welcome including getting virtual coffee for team members. All opinions are welcome.

Seeing as how this AMAZON *points to myself* didn't realize that Sommerswerd was already preparing a celebration, I prepared one for Loev. But as any excuse to have a good time is... well... good, I guess we'll have another ceremony right away anyway just for fun for the glory of Loev, and for the glory of all AMAZONs.

The Initiation:

When Loev arrived at the AMAZON camp, two things were immediately obvious. First that we had succeeded in getting a crazy dutch person to join our tribe, and second, that that said crazy dutch person felt immediately at home and was proud to be an AMAZON.

The other AMAZONs greeted Loev and momentarily chatted, before immediately busting into party mode. All of the AMAZONs threw the traditional celebration for the newest member. It must be mentioned that some amount of intoxicating substances were consumed at the event in question.

It all started off pretty innocently (well, relatively):

All of the AMAZONs enjoyed themselves pretty thoroughly. They played some drunk hopscotch and some fire games:

Sometime in the course of the whole thing a fireworks display made everyone stop momentarily to ponder the meaning of it all,

...and then everyone went right back to partying.

Everyone had a good time, AMAZON style. Even the pumpkins who were invited to the party got smashed:

Near the end of the festivities, the fierce but still quite cute Diana came forth to bestoy the golden rope to Loev, and with cheers of "We love Loev," everyone applauded:

Diana said: "Take this golden rope as a symbol of the bond between AMAZONs everywhere, even crazy, drunk, dutch ones. You are now an AMAZON. Long live the AMAZON way."

Also... Absolutely nothing wrong with a cross-posted, double-whammy, super-double ceremony... it is St. Patrick's day season after-all! (as if AMAZONs needed an excuse to throw a big party)

So now Loev... since you got double the ceremony, all the AMAZONs are expecting double the participation from you

We need to make our own holiday. I say it's July 23rd, anyone with me?

I had a dream last night that CFC paid for everyone who wanted to, to come to a hotel and meet the fellows team members and other teams. The surprising thing was there was only 5 of us. And 3 of the 5 of us were teenage girls (go figure), one of which would only wear a Wonder Woman costume. The hotel rooms were like the private forums, they had been created, but not locked. I think it was CDZ who's forum I sneaked into their forum and joined there chat. Apparently I was the only ones who knew it wasn't locked yet. I guess they had a social hang-out thingy too and I joined that. They thought I was a team member so they started to discuss their start (which I saw). then I said I had to go so I went back and told you guys. Then I went over to the Merlot room where the door was standing open which a man and girl sleeping, so I started slowly walking in, when the couple jumps of and paralyzes me with some super powers (another go figure). All the AMAZONs and the 2 Merlots have a fight, at the end we call a truce and decide to have an in-game alliance. For whatever reason I think I had something close to it when the last MTDG started.

Yep... my great strategies include using world builder and angrily reloading when I'm inevitably stabbed by Monty. As you can tell, I'm a world-class player.

Well, I also dreamed we were the first team to be eliminated, and that's all I dreamed. Holy cow, I've made 17+ posts today!

The reason I haven't been posting since Tuesday is I have been out of town, but here I am, so yeah.

As for the map I personally would like to combine two or more map scripts. Like having two continents both with inland seas. My two cents.

That is a really cool idea. But how about we make like 2 or 3 different continents but in between there are some archipelagos, close enough to each other that you can travel around in galleys at the beginning of the game? It would look sorta like this:

It's pretty bad quality for some reason but the blobs on the side represent continents and the spray paint in between represents archipelagos.

Lol, that's the best idea anyone has had since the beginning of Team Amazon.
