I have two job interviews with companies in Boulder and Denver this week. I *really* love Chicago, so I think I would have to be totally bowled over with an offer to relocate, but I'm not ruling it out.

I don't really know anything about Boulder or Denver though. I know that Boulder is crazy liberal and is a college town, and that Denver is sunny and has mountains, but that's about it....so why don't you tell me a little about that area?

Is it expensive?
What are some fun things to do?
Hows traffic, getting around the metro area?
I know Boulder is pretty artsy fartsy (which is great, since we are as well)...whats the rest of Denver like?
Is it safe?

TELL ME THINGS PLEASE?

If you can catch Turner, he just moved to Denver from the flatlands of Kansas. I would live in Boulder, but would be much less interested in Denver, but if you like Chicago, you'll probably like Denver.

In either case you are on the edge of the really "great outdoors" that is western Colorado.

What is it about Denver that would make it unappealing to you? What is it about Chicago that is similar to Denver?

I've heard Boulder compared to Madison, WI a lot....which is favorable in my eyes. I could absolutely live in Madison, although it's a little expensive for being a fairly small city.

Boulder was a fun town when I was there for 3 or so days...didn't do much except party with friends followed by hiking and rock climbing while hungover the next day. A very beautiful, youthful, hippie dippie locale from what I could see, but a little expensive.
