The 2014 Civ IV S&T Awards

I second, Greece: The dawn of Europeans, even though I only read like one update :p, purely for baseballpie's sanity

Never read it

Thank you. To be honest I though to second it, but I felt it wasn't right. It's interesting that Russia, an incomplete story went to the next round easily, while Greece, a finished story almost didn't.

Because a lot of us didn't read Greece.

The list of stories for the second round is up on the third post. I'll post instructions when I get back home.

The second round consists of the elimination phase. Anyone can cast their votes; you do not need to be an author or even a S&Ter. In this round, votes will be cast per each category. This means that you may vote twice within each category. So I would vote like this:
Spoiler :
I cast my vote for:

Narrative/AAR
Story, by Author
Story, by Author

Character-Based Interactive
Story, by Author
Story, by Author
etc.

You do not need to vote for all four categories at once, nor are you compelled to vote for all four categories at all. If you are an author of one of the stories on the list, you are still allowed to vote, however, I strongly recommend that you not vote for any of your own stories. I will not ban it, but I will look down upon it. At the end of the round, the three stories with the most votes in each category will move on to the third and possibly final round.

Voting for the second round is open! Instructions reposted for ease of view.

Spoiler :
P.S. I know there are only two stories in Comedy, but since nobody nominated any other comedies, they are both automatically in the third round.

Elective:
America: Write Your Own History, by Royal Tenenbaum
The Rise of Brazil, by CaterpillarKing

Narrative/AAR:
Dawn of the Punic Sea, by Tomorrow's Dawn

Narrative/AAR
- An Illustrated History of the Noyyau by Noyyau
- Interesting Times - The AI Side of RFC by CFCoasters

Character-Based Interactive
- The Democratic Caliphate by Sanguivorant
- A Tryst With Destiny by adhiraj.bose

Elective
- America: Write Your Own History by Royal Tenenbaum

I felt I needed to explain myself, so:

AARs was simple, those are the only that I have seen more then one or 2 times;

Character Based was sad because I had to leave Russia behind. I couldn't vote differently. My current sig explains a lot about my sadness on this;

Elective was the hardest. America was impossible to not vote on, IMO the best story I've seen on S&T. But I couldn't decide which of the others was better. I accompanied all 4 at some extent, but I couldn't decide which of them I prefer, so I prefered to not vote on any and cast a single vote to the Elective part;

As Comedy isn't in debate I skipped it. You see now?! If Caerbulin passed we would have 3 and a voting now. Caerbulin was the best commedy IMO :lol:
:joke:

Since there were only two comedies, they get automatic births in the second round, so there is really no need to vote on them.

You only get two votes per category, so I'll let you revote.
