The Ancient Mediterranean MOD

Hi. I really like this mod. Great work.
Just a question, maybe i didn't read the whole thread properly.
But did you think about creating proper religions for this ancient period.
Most of the tribes and early kingdoms had their own religion.
This is not for gameplay, only for correctness.
Something like greek polytheism. I think of something like the greek world scenario.

But understand my right, this mod is really good and the religions are only for game atmossphere and not for game play.

Actually i remember them saying how they will add different types of religions like the greek mod but a bit more detailed on minor religions in groups of the type i think, you have to check with Thamis.im a bit slow:crazyeye:

:satan: I just have finished the essentials of Maya DVD now I have a foundation in Maya. as soon as the SDK comes out this MOD will have tons of new units and i will practice at making leaderheads. im actually making some little polygon models now, and im learning gettin better and better:evil: .@thamis(or anyone else): please provide me with some images to help me give you any specific unit look or leaderhead, from now so when SDK comes out we can make it work without wasteing time. have hope for a great graphical future for this MOD ppl it will look great ppl.:woohoo:

Government
- Despotism /L
- Hereditary Rule /M (Divine Right), +1 per military unit
- Republic /N (Republic), +3 in 4-6 largest cities, +1 hammer per specialist
- City State /H (City State), +1 in all cities, +3 science per specialist
- Empire /M (Empire), +25% military unit production, -50% war weariness
Shouldn't empire be High maintenance cost instead? The cost to maintain an empire isn't small! Also, Republic having no maintenance cost is a little overpowered. If nothing else, it should at least be low.

I'de personally like to see more civics options ... maybe adding 1 more to make it 6 choices instead of 5. Having tribal organizations as a government would be interesting and accurate, for at least some of the civs.

hi

for religions, the xml files dont point to the right icons, that's why... but the religions for now are zoroastrism, animism, mesopothamian, egyptian and greek pantheon, and aesir, along judaism and christianity... I edited the files and it hsould be all good in the next version, wich could be posted monday I assume... There es no limit to the number of religion though, so as long as its accurate, we can ad as much as we want....

For the civics, it's sure that the more the better, as long as its accurate historically, I dont mind creating more civic categories also...

Bugs now... I know there are a few bugs still around, even though I haven't experienced them... the major bugs in cityscreen I corrected, but if you guys play and get crashes or things like that, be sure to report them so I can correct them

Wow, a new version on monday, sounds very good.
I will have some time on monday and can try to start playing. Maybe i can help to find some bugs.

It'll still be v0,99 though...;)
but 0,99b! The "major" bugs that were in 0,99a are gone, so there should be no more CTDs...
Thamis told me that there was some sort of cityscreen bug, wich I didnt experienced... I haven't spoke to him yet, so I don't know what it is exactly though... I also know that Thamis is running on the new patch beta-version, so mayby it's that... Hopefully, with people playing the Mod, we will figure it out... Also, I entered "basic" building costs, so fell free to suggest adjustments, because our main goal was to get a playable version asap, so it could be not that accurate...

No problem. I think it must be very hard work to make such a great mod accurate.
I think i will wait until the original religions will be removed or better replaced into something that fits more to the ancient times.
I'm one of those players that like historical accuracy. :)
But i checked a bit in the mod so far, for some historical inaccuracy but i didn't found big problems there. :)
Maybe i will test abit for some other bugs.
