The Capo's LH Gallery and Self-Help Thread!

No, we don't want a Static Arpad that looks like a statue, please make him animated Capo :(

LOL, I will, don't worry.

And BTW, good luck to your team, I am rooting for them because I have Spanish heritage... and I also bet some money on them... :mischief:

That's pretty interesting, I didn't know that. I'm sure there is a high percentage of Spanish-descendant people in the world if you think about their imperial adventures. Anyway good luck to them, it should be a good match.

And as far as LHs go, I should hopefully have some stuff done (at least in-game previews) within the next three to four days. :goodjob:

Cool. And if you somehow come up empty again, please at least switch back to Independence Day mode! ;)

My family has some Dutch ancestory, so you can pretty much guess who I'm rooting for.:mischief:

Nederland!:D

Can't wait to see those previews Capo!

Alright, so I dumped that chick because she was way too clingy too quickly, so I should have much more time now for making LHs/modding. Man, that sounds terrible. Anyway, yeah, I should have them done pretty soon. Sorry about that guys.

I knew she was trouble. We were all voting for her to go :p

Indeed, it does.
You sound like a real nerd.
...okay, well, that fits :D ;).

Hey, we play Civilization... we all are.

No, people who play stupid arcade games like Super Mario and stuff like that are nerds. People who play Civilization are serious and mature people!:goodjob:

Hey, we play Civilization... we all are.

I have a Klingon dictionary (as well as a few of Shakespeare's works in the original Klingon), two bookshelfs dedicated to tabletop gaming books and campaigns, etc. I think my just being here automatically lowers the nerdosity of everyone else.

We're getting very off-topic at this point.

Anyway, I somehow seem to have misplaced the LH animation guide, so if someone could upload that for me that would be awesome. Thanks.

You call it a self-help thread, maybe expressing nerd-hood is a part of helping one's self :mischief:

My name is Vortilex and I'm a Civilization Fanatic. Moving on...I think that our being off-topic is the result of anticipation of the coming leaderheads. :D

I guess as this not only The Capos leaderhead gallery, but also called a self-help thread, this won't be offtopic. So my question is: as you guys said, that...
really you don't need this anymore with skeleton swapping or animation editing
and
Skeleton swaps are a very easy and powerful technique.
... does that mean that I could make Zervers Széchenyi (that was based on Napoleon) make use Lincolns animation? I already tried that some time ago with only using Lincolns animation, but without altering anything on the nif file and it looked promising at first. In general, the leaderhead worked, but as far as I remember, the hands and the eyes were distorted. I thought I could fix this using The-Coyotes-method, but nope. Or at least, it would have meant too much work. Next question: as you said it would be easy, do you think that even a bloody amateur could do it, too? I mean, I would prefer it if anyone would volunteer, but if there's no other way to get it done, I'd do it myself. It might look like this is a pedantic thing, but AFAIK Széchenyi was pretty thoughtful and tended to be depressive. This ways, Napoleons animation, which is pretty self-confident or even arrogant, is exactly that animation that doesn't fit at all. On the other side, I think that Lncolns animation would fit. Zerver didn't have any chance to get this done back then, I think, but maybe someone could do it now. Anything else on this leaderhead is pretty good, I think, and there are no glitches AFAIK either. So it's only the animation that would need to be improved. But that one is making me mad... If there's no one volunteering and if it's really that easy, could anyone point me to a tutorial?

Besides of this, can you present some new previews, The Capo? I can hardly await seeing you new leaderheads and accessories done...

well its fairly easy. its like the basic nifswap but when you get a nikskope message saying that a bone doesn't exist you have to go back to your exported Napoleon version and rename it. DO NOT rename the Lincoln bones because the animation wil not work.

Once you get the swap through it will look VERY distorted. you then import this one into blender and line up the mesh to the bone. This could get tedious, and may require a few export-nifwaps-test (the regular technique) and refix to get it perfect but after the first fewtimes you get use to it it gets faster.

I do recommend seprating the hands of lincoln in a separate nif and swap those over instead of napoleon's hands. hands are very hard to get to line up perfectly because there are so many bones. For example I tried with Wu to get it right but ultimately gave her hammurabi's hands and edit there mesh so the animation would look right.

I'd like to do a tutorial for this but havent had time.
