The Zapotec mod requires Inca DLC for Slinger texture. I'll made a new files without them later.

I am now creating a map on which all the ancient civilizations of the Americas that I created can compete (8 players, with Aztec, Inca and Iroquois). Here is an overview of the map almost finished (I still have to create new city-states and place resources equitably cause my Worldbuilder crash when i try to put them randomly).
Any help will be appreciate.

Looks great from the screenshots, esp. The Chibchas (may be your best leaderhead yet), can't wait to try them out.

One thing, though, aren't the Zapotec and the Mixtec seperate groups?

Oh, and would it be ok if I borrowed some of your civs for a Mesoamerican history scenario I'm making? One of the many parts I'm missing for it are decent civ leaderheads...

You can use them in your scenario, those civilizations are free to use in any Mod as long as you quote the source :)

Zapotec and Mixtec are two seperate groups but under the reign of Cosijoeza they are unifed against the Aztec, and after his death a wedding between his son and a Mixtec Princess seal the alliance.

Definitely this is the way to go:

I'm doing the same with AMCs
By the way, Gedemon has "France" in its location header. This may be a great help for you ;)

Great civs, as usual :goodjob:

In my humble opinion, you shouldn't rely on DLC when you release a mod. You risk that lots of people can't play it. For example, there is no a real need to link slinger animation to your custom unit: run it as an archer to have a working mod for 100% of people. Furthermore, if you need Inca civ in your scenario, simply copy/paste the XML code in a new customized Inca civ, do the needed code changes and replace 3D stuff with 2D screenshots (all tasks you know very well being a civ maker) . This way everyone can play your mod.

Aside the slingers texture, the Zapotec civilization has no other additions from DLC. I have not taken the time to thank you also for the Slinger flag that i used, so THANKS :)!
Thanks also for the link I'll start by looking at how the mod is built.
And i'll maybe made a custom Inca civ for my custom map, so everyone will be able to play the map.

yes, I can help you if you want to use ynaemp, and I think that you can make a conditional sql request to define the type of graphics used by your slinger unit for the Zapotec (I'm not on my home computer and can't give you an example of the exact code, but I've done something similar for CS based on DLC)

Awesome. Native American civilizations and groups seem to get a bit neglected, so it's nice to see you create more of them.

Sorry for the late reply. Actually, no, its the file type. I can't convert .7z files. Would it be possible to request that the non-dlc version be uploaded to the in-game mod browser?

I'm going to have to rumage around in your brain Optik to figure out how the diplo screens are done, as when I do it, the game crashes during the DOM speech :undecide:

I would have to recreate a mod if I want upload it on modbrowser. All files have ID on Modbrowser and it will overwrite the previous version. 7zip is free: http://www.7-zip.org/

Crashes can have several causes: a bad reference in your code. xml, a wrong file size or compression, an omission setting in modbuddy (VFS=True), but you also know that every other troubles in .xml can affect the whole mod and their art too.

Ah, ok. How do you convert .7z into something playable? Or could you upload a .zip folder to the database here?

I had a few hours playing around with my Erithian States civ and got it to work in that one. Had me puzzled for a while though, as I'd been comparing code with others that work, checked the VFS option etc and... it was a spelling mistake

Now I just need to figure out the AI city icons (mine all come up as per the American stars n' stripe shield) and my civs should be all good :)

Nevermind my request, I got it off of your ANAC pack (Thanks for making an Inca civ, by the way).
Just two notes:
1. None of the civilizations in your pack are actually ancient. Their all considered classical or medieval. Perhaps "Pre-columbian" would be a better term (not that it really matters, I'm just being Type A...)
2. Doesn't your Nubian Civ have an archer, and wouldn't its cost need to be fixed? I realize this is the wrong place, but I figured it would make more sense to only make one post.
