Downloading. I can't believe it's been four years since your mod first came out. You have put a tremendous amount of work into cinemod. The choice of terrain and interface are terrific, as they give the game that slightly unreal look that makes the game look like a studio back lot come alive. Congrats!
Hi Anthony Boscia. Thanks for taking the time to comment on the mod. As well, thanks for your own work and contributions to the community, which have found their way into the Cinemod.
Additionally, I'd like to give thanks and credit to Gwendoline and Delta Strife whose units were added to the latest version.
Here are some new advisor screens. They can be downloaded on the previous page, post 116, in the downloads spoiler. This is actually only a partial interface update as I've left a few of George Stow's interface screens as they were.

Spoiler:
Part of the Cinemod interface is from George Stow, so I'd like to continue to credit him. As well, Balthasar's great interfaces have been used as templates when considering the layout of many screens.
Thank you Balthasar for taking the time to comment. It's much appreciated. I'm glad you like the screens. Actually, I found an error on the coloring of the Wondersplash and it's been fixed on my end, but I'll get around to fixing the files here someday.
In other news,
Quite some time ago, I found a problem with the Jaws II wonder and the Shark cage. The game, for whatever reason, ignored the fact that these buildings were coastal installations and built them in every city, even inland. Since I'm the only one who actually plays the Cinemod, I took my sweet time to get it fixed. But here it is:
The updated BIQ is still found on the previous page, post 116 or you can go directly to it here.
Hooray for me again. Though this was the closest I've ever come to losing. And the first time, I think, that I've taken a serious run with Touchstone.
Spoiler:
It's always a mess in the Cinemod and I had to fight tooth and nail to get Iron(man.)
Peacefully coexisting while I was working on Columbia. But...
MGM was really scaring me. They had their 9 parts already.
So we had to go to war. Mission Objective: Destroy their spaceship before they completed that last part.
Mission Accomplished.
Spoiler:
I'm one part away (Orange are completed for this Distribution.)
Thanks for the note, Jarovid. Limited time is certainly understandable for everyone.
Perhaps it would be better if I were the only one playing, because if you started games on previous BIQs then, at least up until now, you're apt to encounter problems I've discussed, which can be frustrating. Anyway, good luck with your game and feel free to give advice or criticism on the mod.
*edit 2/14
Here are updated irrigation and marsh files.
Unfortunately I don't have the final 2.1R release or any earlier ones (shame he didn't release his newer Era 3). @Node60 do you have 2.1R by any chance?
In the meantime I fixed the OP to actually have a link to the downloads post so people don't have to sit there trying to find it (even though they don't work).
.
I tried to download from the post on page 6, I tried both links and it didn't work. The one on media fire is no longer there, and I was told "access denied" on the other link.
Yes.. I know.. I just fixed the navigation issue in the meantime as that was weird. Hopefully one day we can put a working download on that post, but for the moment the mod is lost and there's nothing I can do about it other than ask Node60 who's helped us before and has previously posted in this thread about trying the mod. If he doesn't have it then hopefully someone else will eventually show up to help.
Hey
Just passing through after a long absence and saw the comments. If someone is still interested and can update me how to best host the game, I could upload it. I don't play often, but every blue moon I crank up a game.

I can PM you a link to my cloud storage public area for you to drag and drop the mod into and then I'll get it hosted here at CivFanatics.
Otherwise here's my regular 'spiel' which contains some instructions and recommendations that I usually give to Civ3 modders with large file hosting issues/concerns.
Firstly I recommend using the free 7zip on max compression settings to make a 7z file is probably better for future releases. Rar is better than regular Zip but 7zip is better than rar and is one of the front runners for compression (Although I recently found out about ZPAQ's super compression but no one would have the required software sadly). For example I downloaded Meteor Man's Star Wars TMA 1.10.zip 457MB zip file and recompressed it's contents with 7zip and was able to get it down to 370MB shaving quite a few megs off the file size! Better for you (uploading & hosting space wise) and better for any fans with slow download speeds.
Secondly I've noticed a lot of the long lost mods around this place have links to personal cloud storage, mega upload, mega nz, rapidshare, mediafire etc that sadly seem to time out after a couple of years (usually because they have a 'delete all files for inactive users' policy), so if you want a more reliable permanent hosting option elsewhere then I recommend ModDB.
SpoilerModDB advice and guide :
You can either design a full mod page by going to the Civilization 3 section here and clicking on the + 'add mod' button which would allow you to create a full page with lots of pics, info and most importantly the files: https://www.moddb.com/games/civilization-iii-conquests
(Click to expand example picture - I Accidentally had it on Civ2 instead of Civ3 when I took this snap but you get the idea haha)
ModDB will also host pictures and videos of the mod for you too, and even host blog like dev diaries & announcement articles to attract more fans to your work.
Another example is from when I made a similar suggestion to Vindsval for his massive 1.5 gig Downfall Apocalypse Civ3 scenario that was sitting in personal cloud storage and he went and created this page for his mod: https://www.moddb.com/mods/civilization-downfall
OR if you want the easiest quickest option then don't even make a mod page and just add your mod to the general Civ3 files/downloads section here instead (add file button is in the same place as on the mod page I showed above): https://www.moddb.com/games/civilization-iii-conquests/downloads
ModDB file uploader has an AWESOME option to mirror an existing file download url so you may not even have to upload the file again (unless you make that new recompressed 7zip version ) as it can probably easily make a copy of your existing download.
I'm happy to do that for you (eg I made one for Drift's Master of Myrror Civ3 mod with his permission) as I know ModDB like the back of my hand these days (currently 12 projects on there and counting haha) but then you wouldn't have control over the download should you update the mod and would need me to update it which would suck a bit, so I usually recommend modders create their own pages.
Other stable long term free hosting alternatives include Internet Archive Org which I've been using to preserve hundreds of Civ2 scenarios and recently successfully did the Star Trek Civ3 mod on there as they support permanent file/pic/vid/chat hosting like ModDB, I recently found out about Nexus Mods supporting Civ3-6 and they are another popular mod file/pic/vid/chat hosting site, and even Sourceforge (which people think is just for source code but I've seen people use it to host regular mods as well) would you believe as they support free file/pic/vid/chat hosting too.
Thank you for the reply and information. I compressed it with 7zip. If you wouldn't mind sending me a link in a pm, I could get it uploaded there. I appreciate your help with that. I don't think I'll be continuing to mod on it, so it's fine to turn over to the community to host.
I played version 3 quite a bit years ago; it's unfortunate that I never got around to uploading it. Who knows, maybe someone can have fun with it. I don't think there are any errors, but it's by no means perfectly balanced.
No worries mate, have PM'd you the link. If you can send it there then I'll take care of the rest and we'll get this baby back out there! Oooh yeah I see the previous release was 2.1R, so this will be a unreleased version 3.0 that nobody's played then? Exciting!
As previously discussed sadly the old downloads for @wuhjah 's The Cinemod has long been down however thankfully wuhjah has returned and saved the day!
I've tested it with my steam install of Civ3 (disc users may need to modify label files) and it worked! Looks cool!!!
I've combined the biq and media files, repacked with 7zip (wuhjah got it down pretty good to 515MB but I managed to squeeze a bit more out of it down to 505MB) and uploaded a copy of the mod to CivFanatics servers to preserve his work. I've also created a new download page, turned over control of it to wuhjah, transferred his original screenshots to CivFanatics (without the ugly watermarks as Photobucket can't be trusted anymore), and edited the original thread post's download link for this mod to link to there instead of the long gone one that wasn't working. https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/the-cinemod.32523/
Cool buttons..
Lots of movie studio factions!
New game..
Don't usualy see a cutscene when making a new city.. wuhjah knows his modding!
I can't seem to download the file, it just tries to open it in another tab in Firefox, for some reason. Could it be because of the period in the filename?

That's weird.. that doesn't happen in Chrome or in Edge and it works fine. I just tested another CivFanatics mod download in Firefox that doesn't have periods or underscores and the same error happened so I'm guessing there's some weird issue there between Firefox and either XenForo or our new storage server. I'll have a chat with the admins about it. In the meantime you can still download in Firefox if you right click on the 'Go to download' button and select 'Save link as' as that worked for me in my Firefox.
