The Civ 5 C&C Off-Topic Thread

I know, I know. I feel terrible. :(

Nice reference, but my words are backed with awful puns!

You fool! Do you not know that the fate of every conqueror is to be assimilated by the culture they sort to control?

Ah yes, like how the Japanese adopted Hangul and Spanish archbishops started performing sacrifices.

Sup I'm Squanto, I already speak your language and will show you how to survive the winter.

That depends on how you define the Spanish Inquisition. :mischief:

Still though, Spanish tortillas are omelettes and Mexican ones are not. Clearly, that's that seditious Aztec mumbo-jumbo at work!

When going off-topic in mod threads such as Colonalist Legacies and RyanJames' thread, we have amazing, down-right strange discussions.
When we're finally given an off-topic thread of our own to do this in... its just boring stuff like "civ iv is better" and "the spanish inquisition".
I honestly didn't expect the spanish inqusition to appear in this thread.
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition.

You come to our lands you play by our rules. Unless you wish to press claims for extraterritoriality?

Nobody expects the spanish inquisition.

Boooo!! :p

Yeah but the Inquisition started before the Spaniards had any clue what an 'asteca' even was. ;)

True, but only 40 years or so. A lot of things happened in Spain between the reigns of Ferdinand & Isabella and Charles V & I. :)

I'm always willing to revisit the subject of Obama's masturbatorium or reverse mermaids.

>masturbatorium

I have a strange urge to mod this building into the game now.

Make sure that its building icon is that of a bull with an ushanka, because then you get a great pun out of it. :)

Spoiler :
The icon would be of beef strokin' off. :mischief:

i am intrigued, please continue

So I started coding my Nueva Extremadura civilization when I decided to rename one of the files outside the SDK. Which in turn created this funny situation that led to the file keeping the old name within the Modbuddy. Thinking I had screwed up hard I preferred to delete that file to not have any more problems with it, however... the file still appeared within the mod as if it still existed!

I haven't been quite able to fix my mod yet, but at least the file's not there anymore. :crazyeye:

Let's not give up now!

They may have a greater culture pool, but we have a greater capacity to generate tourism!
