It has been over thirteen years since the unhappy day when the communists and their allies tore this glorious nation apart. Since that day of great treachery The Russian Republic struggled to survive, the White Armies were shattered, and lands and peoples were lost to traitors, communists, and enemies of all the Russian Peoples.

In these past Thirteen years, the Russian nation has continued to rot and decay. The Economy collapsed, factories shut down, people lost their homes, and production came to a virtual standstill. Millions of the industrial proletariat became unemployed and starving; the whole of the middle class and the small artisans have became impoverished. When this collapse hits the serfs of Russia we will be faced with an immeasurable, and a virtually incurable disaster.

However, upon the ashes of the Third Rome, I proclaim the Fourth, and everlasting Rome. As I speak, The Iron Guards of the Russian people spread across the lands to pacify and bring the Greater Russian Peoples back into the fold. Ending the rot and excess of the Third Rome, to bring our people out of the dark and the weakness of the past, and into the strength and light of the new! Where the previous empires have failed, We will succeed! When the Previous Empire Fell, We will Rise! While the previous empires rot, We will Prosper! I Proclaim a new age of peace and Glory to Russian peoples!

As long you do not pretend to be the fourth or third Rome... but in many ways we will only seek if Italy once again ends up in break up; you are more or less safe from our forces, as long you do not endanger our plans in the Balkans and the Middle East; we must defend the faithful!

We hope for good relations with Naples. Trade especially would aid the cause.

Mexico Dissolves Into Great War-Esque Hell!​

Yucatan Republic and Empire of the Alamo ground forces both reached Mexico City on June 17, 1937. A two-week stalemate shattered abruptly on the night of July 1. The Yucatan commander claims his men were accosted by Alamo infantry near El Angel and the Alamo commander claims his men were preventing Yucatan soldiers from assaulting several civilians. No one is sure who fired the first shot, but over the summer, battle has raged through the surrounding area. The Alamo forces, despite being heavily outnumbered, scored a Minor Victory and destroyed a few Yucatan units(See unit spreadsheet for details), although at the cost of all but 1HP on one unit. Shortly thereafter, rebels burst from the woodwork in Coahuila, and several foreign agents were stopped from attacking the airstrip at Mérida. The Alamo and Yucatan navies met in battle off Jamaica, where the Yucatan beat past Alamo defenses(although taking significant damage and inflicting little) to ravage Alamo transport ships, sinking three divisions of men. The war grinds on.

In South America, The Republic of Acre swept a victory in Argentina, occupying the entire country at the cost of substantial losses. The Argentinian government has fled to the Falkland Isles.

In Europe and Africa, all powers expand cautiously. In Asia, China invades and annexes Mongolia in a surprise assault, completely overpowering the defenses and subjugating the country.

It is September First, 1937. Winter is coming.

The bloodshed in Mexico, therefore, can be laid at the feet at Dallas's feet. The Empire of Spain hereby embargoes Dallas. The embargo will remain in place to such time the reckless government in Dallas makes genuine efforts to diffuse the crisis and come to the table to meet with their Yucatan counterparts.

SPANISH INVESTORS LOOK ABROAD FOR OPPORTUNITY. Seville, Empire of Spain. $238 has been allocated to foreign aid and investment in the budget this year, over double the amount allocated last year, and the Spanish government is seeking sound investment opportunities.

The Battle of Mexico City was entirely the Alamo's fault. The attacks on our patrols that led to the conflict was entirely unprovoked. It was mearly an oppurtunistic attack to fufil the Alamo's expantionistic goals. The claim by the Alamo that they were "defending citizens" is a blatant lie further exposed by the fact that just to the North the citizens they are "protecting" are in open rebelion.

Our worst fears heve now become true as the Alamo actively attempts to remove the basic human rights of Mexican citizens. They have now proven that they are unworthy leaders for Mexicans by the revolts in Coahuila. We mearly wish to defend the rights of the Mexican people. Should the Empire of the Alamo wish to continue annexation and oppression of Mexico; we will be forced to resort to open conflict to defend the Mexicans from oppresion.

To Coahuila:
We wish assist you in gaining your independence in whatever ways possible. As such, we guarantee your independce and offer you a military alliance.

To the Republic of China:
We will be happy to attend a confrence to determine the fate of former Mexico. It is just that Alamo has proven many times over that they wish to conquer both Mexico and Yucatan. This shown in the attempted bombing at the airstrips in Mérida the attacks on Yucatan solidiers in Mexico City.

A note on rebellions. A rebellion's units cannot leave the province it is in unless their target province has no garrison. Rebellions can become full NPCs if their are recognized by the nation they revolted from. They gain units and small bonuses for each country that recognizes them prior to this moment.

"Well sir, I thought it might be useful for making counter-strikes. I mean, Blockades and Bombing are all well and good, but if you really want to bring the enemy to the peace table, there's nothing like putting boots down on their native soil. And most of our potential attackers are overseas sir, so getting boots on the ground would be a lot easier with Marines. At the same time, if we wanted to intervene in say, the Mexican war, Marines would open up a whole new range of tactical options." McKilgore's voice was calm, sounding perfectly reasonale as he laid the arguements before his obviously sceptical superior. The man's eyes narrowed as McKilgore spoke, the cogs of his mind working carefully through the information he was being given.

"That may be the case," McDictator began carefully "but don't you think we should be paying more attention to ensuring the war enters that stage? Remember, the Senates primary concern is preventing the country being occupied, that means we're going to need desert-capable troops like the Berbers a lot more than Marines."
"Well of course sir, I wasn't going to suggest we abandon the plans to make new tanks." McKilgore seemed almost offended by the suggestion "I was just thinking about what we'd be able to use best in the immediate future, and it seemed to me we weren't as likely to face a war in the homeland as we were to get ourselves involved in somebody else's problems overseas. I mean, didn't old Xeno work up a bunch of treaties with pretty much everyone around to define where our borders were?"

"Be that as it may, for now we don't want a Marine Corps. I'll let you know if we ever start looking into it, you understand?"
"Yes sir, I've got it" McKilgore replied resignedly. McDictator turned and returned to his work without another word, but in the back of his head the gears were still whirring. McKilgore had a point after all, barring unforeseen circumstances, the nation was all but safe from attack for at least a year or two. In that time, how many other wars would break out in the world as the other nations squabbled over borders or ideology? Sure the Senate had already agreed to sell weapons overseas, but would they want to send troops? McDictator doubted it, but there was always the chance, as the countries fledgling foreign policy developed. Maybe he should keep the matter in mind, at least for now...

"I'm not sure if that was worse or better than I imagined, but it certainly exceeded my expectations. I mean, that looked a lot like satire to me." McTavish mused, absent-mindedly dumping the half-empty container of cheap popcorn into a nearby bin. "I mean, I know the IOT series always had some oddly named characters, but the way GreekAnalyser and Scarlet_King were mocking that Token McVillain guy was...well, it seemed almost self-aware. Like the writers wanted people to see they knew how ridiculous their characters names were and just sort of laugh it off."
"That's real deep, you know that McTavish?"
"Well think about it;" McTavish continued on with his impromptu analysis of the film "what happens if the characters become self-aware? What will people think when the characters start musing about how odd normal things sound to them? Where does it go from there? Are we going to see Selfinsert McCharacter and that crazy Lighthearter guy in some long discussion about the nature of reality and fiction in some sort of half-way universe? Will things ever be the same again?"
"You're over-thinking it. Besides, will they really carry those elements over to the next film do you think, or is it just a one-off thing?" McTavish answered with a shrug as the two men walked slowly down the steps from the exit. "Exactly. Wait until we get the next film before you start worrying about the philosophical implications of what we just saw."

The Empire of the Alamo holds no desire to create a second Great War. This war that is now upon the doorstep of North America is not of our doing, and if necessary, we will be willing to reveal military documents from the last few months to prove such a claim (we shall post our plans from last turn in the thread, which shall be confirmed by LH as the real and authentic plans).

However, we regret that such a small clash, regardless of whose fault it was, has created a war. We hereby offer a peace that can be drawn up in treaty form if accepted: We propose that the borders remain unchanged, and the Yucatan recognizes our claim to the Bahamas while we recognize their claim to the unclaimed mexican province. Meanwhile, we would send 40 EP of reparations to the Yucatan as a gesture of goodwill. We do not condone the nasty words of the Yucatan and Spain, however we see no reason to continue this war simply because other nations refuse to be civil.

We await the response of the Yucatan.

To the USA: We believe that the agreement was for the USA to claim the Great Lakes, not the Great Plains. It appears that the Great Plains are named as the Midwest by certain organizations, and we apologize for our mistake if indeed it was our fault as we do not know. In recompense we would be willing to recognize your claim to western Canada, giving you a port on the pacific.

The Ottomans have plans to bring the Balkans under our sovereign domain. We have plans to bring the three unmarked areas of the Balkans under the Ottoman domain. Naples meanwhile have the ability to invade Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. We must defend kebab our subjects in the Balkans!
