The drawing thread

Sinefir's the embodiment of sin, including desire! ;) Seems he's taken a break from absorbing people with his dreadlocks to get a little on the flirty side...

I'm finally painting again after a few months.
The Chicago Theatre. I still haven't decided what will be written on the marquee.
It's another painting in my continuing series; I had posted a couple others of this series in this thread a while back.
Water color on paper; 8"x10".

Looks like a photograph more than a painting

Extracting souls is so last tyrant. Sonic Enerjak just turns his defeated foes into chili dogs. Always helps when you have the munchies.

Was just curious how Sonic would look if he became Enerjak, specifically Dark Enerjak( http://images.wikia.com/archiesonic/images/8/80/Alternate_Enerjak.jpg ). While all four known Enerjaks have been echidnas, there's no clues as to that being a requirement rather than a coincidence. And that's cheating because two of them were different versions of Knuckles.

-Sonic's fur is darker
-Red and white armor because of his shoes, plus that's the color of Sonic's armor in Sonic Adventure 2
-Helmet partially covers the top three quills

Here is my sketch of this album's cover, first black and white, then colorized to look like the album cover (sort of, it's kinda crappy), and then colorized like I feel like. All have been reduced to 500 by 500 pixels for your viewing convenience.

Figured I'd try to draw something cute really quickly. Chip may be annoying vocally, but physically he's adorable.

Tried puppy dog eyes.

Can you deny the chihuhua his chocolate? :(

Originally he was gonna be in his anthro/Light Gaia form - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3357229/ - but given the small scale, I went for his ordinary, fairy-like form.

Needs an image macro "Can I haz chocolate?"

The Kidna'i, an alien race created for Imperium Universalis in the Imperium Offtopicum forums.

Seen on the left: The Kidna'i are insectoid, tall, lean creatures wih reptilian eyes. They appear to be masculine, given their deep voices and ample musculature. They have the ability to reproduce due to being able to produce genetic material from what we'd consider the two sexes. They seem stronger than many because their planet's gravity is several times that of Earth's.

What is most peculiar is their feeding habits. Dreadlock-like tentacle appendages hang from their heads, usually about eight. While their mouths open and close, they appear to be defunct; they feed by stabbing their prey with the dreadlocks' sharp ends and sucking the prey dry from the inside like a spider. This absorption process sometimes increases their prowess in a particular talent or skill, based on what the prey had...

Their mouth likewise no longer secretes venom - their fist-spikes are actually fangs. Don't get on the business end of those!

There used to be two races on the Kidna'gun, the Kidna'i homeworld, in a time long since forgotten.

On the right: The Kidna'i defeated this race and systematically absorbed them, and as such, are able to contort their bodies into a less menacing, some would say almost adorable/attractive version of themselves.

What would happen if the Kidna'i encountered more sentient races, however...? Would they, perhaps, be able to hyperevolve themselves and become the closest thing to perfection the galaxy has ever known?

---

The Kidna'i are obviously inspired by Cell from DBZ and the echidnas from Sonic.

A week ago I was asked to do a painting of a griffin for a display. I was asked to paint a griffin so it could be used as a symbol for Nineveh, as part of a display about Jonah.

This is a rough drawing that I did to get an idea of how to paint the griffin. I tried to get a pose similar to that of the lions on the Ishtar Gate.

Griffin2.png

I painted it on a chimney pot, which has a curved surface, so I had to take several photos of it.
