I got dropped off and they went to turn there jeep around and cuz the roads they got stuck in like a baby ravine so I went back over and like three of us got on one side of the car fully standing on the stepping bar and starting heave ho’ing the back right wheel down to the ground and we did and got the Jeep back and now I’m in this thread.
Every dog and chicken (rooster) in the neighborhood went off for a minute but they shut up after their reflexive and circular excitement of themselves could no longer sustain the party.
Sherry is for cooking not sipping! (Well, maybe a little sipping while cooking ) You need to pour that sherry into a lobster bisque and go get you some proper wine to drink
So basically I had like 45 minutes of motorcycle lessons over two events with some homeys. Then I borrowed a motorcycle to visit a girl. I pretty much vowed never to ride a bike after my brother in law got injured 15 years ago but this country changed me.
The girl wasn’t down and sent me home after dark despite knowing the bike had problems with lights. It’s like a 15 mile drive maybe? My lights cut out in the boonies like 6 times. When they cut, the bike won’t start (battery issue?) when I stall, which being my first f’ing time on a bike alone dodging cows and dogs and people and bikes and pigs with no street lights, I stalled a lot. Fortunately there are good Samaritans abound in this country.
Anyway, after my unsuccessful return home I drank mucho rum with a friend of my host sister and her boyfriend, the four of us hanging out while they spoke nicaragüense, a dialect of Spanish I don’t understand but has a fantastic accompanying accent, while they basically made fun of me but I caught enough words to play back and now I’m a little drunk listening to dogs bark at nothing while the whole town is asleep. Also someone is banging at a door nearby and I don’t know which.
Edit it’s the next door house on my host family’s property and someone is asking for the boyfriend of my host sister which is weird. I think it might be the guy I drank with.
