Also,

I found a link for this site on the official forums: http://www.srtest.com/referrer/srtest

which should give you some idea of how well the game should run. It's based on the official game specs (since the game isn't actually out yet, they can't test it themselves). Just select the game from the menu on the left.
The game doesn't seem to be in the dropdown menu... :(

Edit: Wait, I found it... missed the 'The'...

New video is OUT: tiled "Oblivion 5days to go"
Shows mostly combat, sword, arrow (explosive) and magic.

its magic user for me again, Combat looks to samey as Morrowind, I prefer close range spells and heavy armour. :D
no messy blocking, strafing and timing attacks.

My PC passed the recommended settings, by some margin... :D

Cool. My new PC made the entire chart go green with Pass. :D

Also one more day to go!

I thought it was something you manualy entered your specs into, not something that SCREWED UP YOUR COMPUTER.

Until I restarted. I am on dial up so it slowed my comp down, I could only post messages on CIvFanatics for some reason and it made my typing backwards.

Do you suppose there's going to be much of a difference between the XBOX 360 version and the PC one?

Graphics wise no. Gameplay wise, not factoring in mods, no. Although, eventually mods will improve gameplay and maybe even graphics. So I'm getting the PC version. Then again, I have no intentions whatsoever of ever buying an Xbox so it wasn't really even thought about.

IT'S OUT! IT'S OUT!

Repent ye non-believers, or ye shall be cast to OBLIVION!

(getting it later)

I totally preordered my copy and EBgames is gonna call me when they get it. :D If only it was released on the weekend! I have to do things like work before the weekend! :(

Well, it SHIPS today. Some stores have it already, but don't get your hopes up.

The official release date is tomorrow. ;)

I'm not sure how much stock you take in first impressions of a game, but on Gamespot, the average user rating is 9.7 out of 10. Now, how many of those who've voted actually have the game...no clue.

PC Gamer mag in the UK has given it 93% - pretty much the only criticism in the review is that the NPCs have stupid repetitive conversations with each other and occasionally do random silly things. Otherwise it was all glowing praise.

I want it. I want it now.

Man, my laptop only has an NVidia 64mb graphics card in it. It passes all of the other specs though. You can't replace the greaphics card in a latop (at least that is what I've been told). Should I get the game anyways? Does anyone know that it will not work for sure? Is it worth a try? Oh please help!!! I need to play this game!!!

I tried Morrowind on my new computer (which I specifically bought to be able to play ... recent games ;)), and Morrowind is STILL not running smoothly while running around in Balmora.

What do I expect for Oblivion, hm?

Regards.
