The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

It was after I clicked empty recycle bin that I realized what I had done......You see, when i went to delete my saves in the folder, I assumed that the most recent one would be at the top, but my first save was, so I highlighted them all except the first row, and clicked delete. I clicked empty recycle bin, and went into my game and when I clicked "most recent save" and realized I was level three I freaked and realized what I had done. The save was pretty much mastered anyway so I don't really mind that much but I still feel really stupid.

Try a system restore. Hope your computer picked a good save spot.

I don't think System Restore does that.

Understanding System Restore
System Restore protects your personal files by not restoring any files in the My Documents folder. It also does not restore any files that use common data file name extensions, such as .doc or .xls. If you're not sure whether your personal files use common data file name extensions, and you do not want the data files to be affected by System Restore, save them in the My Documents folder.

I was pondering making this a new thread but seeing as all the Oblivion fans are obviously hanging about in here I ask you, how would you make Oblivion better?

I was thinking about how to make it better after I finally completed the main quest and it struck me as odd about how alot of possible ideas seemed to be missed. Things I thought of (and if anyone knows if these ideas were considered and dropped then let me know cause I'm curious)

Food - people need to eat, simple, simply having food in there as something you can make potions with seems rather limited. Having to eat food every now and again seems proper considering they actually already have a timeline system, it would also mean Inns and Taverns are all that more important
Horses - Can anyone tell me why they are in here? I could understand why if you couldn't fast travel and needed to get somewhere fast but as you can move from one end of the map to the other at a button click then Horses seem rather redundant. Perhaps they could have made it possible to store equipment and the like in your horses (ala saddle bags) and turn them into a kind of pack mule (there's an anti-burden spell called that which must make you think they thought of it)
Equipment - what is the point of having hoe's and calipers? ok sure they make houses more realistic but...... why? Also, if I see someone working in the garden with a rake and go up and attack them, they'll drop the rake and try to punch me. In all honesty if that happened in real life you'd get a face full of gardening equipment.
Clothing - Having hot and cold weather affect your fatigue and what not (don't think this happens already) Up north around Bravil (or is it Bruma...) running about in your undies makes you loose fatigue obviously. Another idea woudl be putting on full daedra armour and going swimming, don't you think that that may impede your breast stroke? I mean it weighs you down when you're running so why not when swimming

Anyone got any other ideas? Also if I've made a mistake with my thoughts then let me know cause I've only played the 360 version.

food-dude this is not a simulation, if youv ever played a game like the sims you would strongly disagree, having to eat is just a nuisance.
horses-not everyone fast travels
clothing-dont you fast travel everywhere anyway? SO weather wouldnt really matter.

Also, you can store items in dead horses, so when you get the black horse shodowmare, you kill him , put items in him, and becuase hes a quest horse, hele come back to life, but hes a freekin traveling house becuase you can store unlimited items in him.

But that is still affected by the bug right? The one where you put a lot of items in a container, and the inventory list can't display them all, and you have to use take all in order to retrieve some items you need.

Jesus, go to town and sell, if youv packing that many items in one horse then you should probably top dungeon diving and go in to sell anyway.

What, my green-scaled Argonian isn't allowed to collect every single item that is green in colour?! :hammer:

Or just toss them all in your shack at the Imperial City, and toss a fireball when it's filled up about 3 feet high. Just turn your speakers down a bit, first...

Anyone else got the Shvering Isles expantion yet? The change of locale is refreshing. And all the extra stuff to add to my massive collection is fun too.

I have. It's brilliant, and as you say the change of locale is great. I hope they do future expansions based on Deadric Gods.

It's weird in how the Shivering Isles is actually two Gods realm...

I picked up the expanions(got that knights of the nine one as well) just last weekend, so far so good. I like the Knights of the nine quest line. Just wish the Smugglers cove and the Mages tower and the Orrey had more to them.

And yes I feel they(Beth) have missed out on a lot of oppurtinties to make the game FANTASTIC. Such as they didn't take full advantage of the physics engine, took out some skills that could of easily stayed. With the new Apprentice-Master skill leveling they could of added several more skills if the engine had aloud it.

I can't wait for TES 5, I'm sure they'll have a crap load new and better thing sit. And hopfully a larger map, maybe the entire continent

It's set in another realm of oblivion, Sheogoraths. I won't say anymore, save that mania and dementia are both prevalent in Him.

Also, NEW SWORDS *drools*
