The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I don't mind the coffins at all... because some of them contain good loot! I have the Ring of Perfection, a fortify luck 10pt spell, plus the blessings of Akatosh, so I have 96 luck now... I can get good loot everywhere. :D

Dungeon crawling is much more creepy, especially those with lots coffins. :p
Thanks for the local, Thunderfall. And it's not the coffins that creep me out, it's the bloody vampires.... and I'm not a good enough spellcaster to use a detect life spell... I hate vampires. :(

One of the faction has an item for sale that gives 60ft life detection. Later on you will find enchanted gears with life detection too.

I have a pair of glass gauntlets, called "Beveled Gauntlets", that give 102ft life detection... I'm never surprised by anything now. I'm actually getting better at aura reading too! Just by looking at the shape I can tell what creature it is! :D

Yes, one of my favorite items is the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal. It gives like 150 ft. life detection, fortify 50 sneak, and 200 points feather when you have it on. The only downside is, you can't go into town with it, or else the guards will fight you, and the only option is to fight.

Just take the cowl off before they can get close to you... they will still charge towards you, but when the dialog starts, it'll be a normal one (if you don't have any outstanding bounties besides the cowl's 500).

Stupid guards

Yes, this is usually my strategy. Oh, Radiant AI...

Wow, that person closes their shop every night at nine, and then goes to eat something and goes to bed. Too bad I'm still in the shop, taking his things, and then I go upstairs to see him. He yells, "Get out of my shop!" So he follows me for a while, and then I steal some more stuff. He goes away.

I'd post screenshots, but apparently they don't work in-game with AA on.

I tried HDR at my max resolution of 1280x1024, but the jaggies makes the game look like crap, IMO.

Yeah, I know. Download FRAPS, problem solved. *shrug*

Sometimes if you are lucky you can get Sigil Stone with detect life 120 ft effect. If you don't get it, you can reload a few times and you'll get different effects... You may want to drink a Fortify Luck potion before you touch the stone...

I closed about 6 gates so far and the Stones I got have effects like Shock Damage 25 pts on strike, Chammelon 30% (got 2 of these), Fortify Magicka 50 pts, Fortify Strength 12pts, and Disintegrate Weapon 50 points.

Note to all: Best and most useful items come from the Dark Brotherhood, all should go to them, they give you everything you could ever want by way of sneak or blade.

Wheres the good Loot ? I read theres "BOSS CHEST" in certain areas such as ECHO CAVE. But Iam unable to get in (It requires a key which is part of a quest)

Anyone suggest an good places ?

Most loot are leveled, so you won't see great ones until you're level 20+.

But once you are, hit Sercen - an Ayleid ruin on the ring north of Imperial City, a bit west of Roxey Inn.

See the map here http://random-m.com/images/759829447_CyrodiilNLM.jpg

It is a very tiny ruin, with just a few staircases and rooms. But the people inside will have nice light armor and enchanted weapons. (once you're level 20+, of course). You can raid it once a week. ;)

I'm now level 29, and the greatest pieces I got from there are:
Crystalline Cuirass (glass with 30% chameleon)
Greaves of Fluid Motion (glass greaves with 30% resist paralysis)

I can't recall the name of such a place for heavy armor...

The loot you get depends on your level, and your luck rating.

My favorite places to raid to get loot are places that have bandits/marauders/vampires, and places with conjurers/necromancers. I tend to avoid Goblin lairs. They're tough to kill, and the loot you get from them sucks, for the most part.

Prior to entering a dungeon, remember to try and get your luck rating up. I do it by taking a fortify luck potion prior to entering the dungeon.

I can't think of any really good locations off-hand since I'm at work, but there is a large bandit hideout by Skingrad (cursed mine or something like that) that has a "boss" area. Some good loot can be had there if you have a high luck rating.

I got lots of great loots from a fort east of Imperial City... don't remember which.

Screenshot time! :)

Anvil is all about pets...

This guy in the Mage Guild has a pet imp named Sparky:

And this guy in the Fighter's Guild has a pet dog named mojo:

And this woman's crazy about rats!

Gotta say the Anvil house is the worst house of all! Who wants to live in a house that was once haunted and with a secret tomb in the basement?

:hmm: That was the first sigil stone I got. I enchanted a elven dagger with it, cause undead were really giving me a problem at that time. I think it still has the detect life enchatment as well as the turn undead up to level 15. I just got a sigil stone and enchanted my greaves to resist frost 35% CE.

You know, I was kind of thinking about getting Oblivion this week, but I saw it has a mature rating?

The mature rating is probably for all the cold-blooded killing involved in an assassin guild, Dark Brotherhood.

That or an annoying fan that follows you around after you became the arena grand champion. People are using all kinds of method to kill/torture him. In the same way as Fargoth in Morrowind.

Also you can use the "grab" mode to manipulate objects... including corpses. Lots of sick fun there arranging the corpses you left behind into strange positions. :mischief:

Not to mention the Lusty Argonian Maid.

The only reason why it has a Mature rating is due to a texture file having a nipple (which can't be seen in the game without a mod to enable it). Someone made a nude mod using it. And ever since the entire GTA:SA fiasco, Mature rating it became. It has since been removed via the latest patch.

There's a mod called "Call Steed". It is to solve the porblem where your horse keep wandering off. It gives you a set of rings, and if you own a horse corresponding to a ring, and you equip it, your horse will be teleported to you.

A side effect is that you can summon your horse inside cities. Combined with a fortify acrobatics spell, you can take your horse to many strange places :D
