The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Is that Leyawin? Looks like you are visiting places fast. :) In my game I didn't visit cities like Anvil and Leyawin until middle of the game, like level 18.

I usually take lots of screenshots in my game. Anytime I see something interesting or there is nice scenery, I take a picture. :)

Well spotted, I'm on a mission from the Fighters Guild, hence my running all over the place despite being only level 3. I just like the journey.

CH, because you can't save?

Why not auction your XBOX copy away on eBay, then buy a PC version? :) Or if your PC is not good enough, get a harddrive for your XBOX.

That's it! I'm going to buy the game even if it may lead to upgrading my computer and driving me bankrupt.

It's a good excuse.

Gah, all of today I should have been drawing or studying or...SOMETHING. But I just think...say, there's that Oblivion shortcut.

This makes me wonder what the next issue of flat comic is about...:mischief:

There are 7 highway robbers and they are all Kajhits, the only one I know for sure where it is though is the Bridge South of Imperial City.

Was that to shut down the first gate? I had to give up in order to strengthen myself up. Joined the fighters guild and became a gladiator in the Arena :D

Speaking of the Arena, I placed a bet on the yellow team, and won 3 times in a row! Anyway, the first gate (Kvach) was easy - I was still at level one. Steathly archery is NICE! (Plus, hording light armor - and a weapon -from a gaurd slain by a goblin helps, too) I was expecting a tough fight, but didn't get any.

Also, I stumbled onto a large room or ruined cathedral inside of these ruins next to the starting city (cerdon or something? corcen? I forget the name), but, I picked off every single person in that area just by crouching (stealth), and having an amazing shot.

BTW, how do you move an item from your inventory precisely to a location? (i.e., so it shows you carrying it - heh, now there's a way of getting around being encumbered!) I did it accidently a few times, but can't seem to do it right.

And how do you get side/front views of your character?

In the inventory screen, left click and hold the mouse button on an item should allow you to place the item. Also you can use the Z key to move items in the room around.

Just press the R key. Holding the R key then move the mouse allows you rotate the character.

@ Kan' Sharuminar: You can use the SetActorFullName command so you can see "Jerry" when you look at your horse. :)

@ Chieftess: I find it is easier to keep NPCs alive if you do quests at low level. At higher levels, the enemies are tougher... the NPCs go up in levels too, but their equipment don't change. So they die pretty quickly. If you really need to keep a NPC alive, try to NOT talk to him/her at all until you finish all the enemies.

@ Thunderfall: Feather works by reducing weight you are *already* carrying. Also the implementation is bugged, or at least, weird. See this for an explanation.

Interesting. :)

Another page on his site says weakness to magic/shock/fire/frost spells only work if you cast them before a magic attack spell. That means the spell I made that has "Shock Damage 100pt + Fire Damage 100pt + weakness against shock + weakness against fire" only does 200 pt damage? I guess same thing applies to weapons too.

You need to make those with a duration, e.g.

Weakness to Shock 100pt 2sec
Shock Damage 10pt 2sec

Then your target will receive:
10pt shock dmg in 1st sec
20pt shock dmg in 2nd sec

:)

@Chieftess: Hmm, I suppose now that I'm level 3 I don't have much excuses not to give another try. I'm just having so much fun being a gladiator right now. Though now there's a big orc dude giving me trouble :(

@kcwong: Excellent. Jerry the horse he shall be :D
