I have one question, how the heck do I place items? Especialy in display cases... I like how they included display cases instead of modders having to make them.

In the inventory screen, you can use left mouse button to drag an item you want to place. After that hold "z" to grab the item and move it anywhere you want.

Thanks for recommending that Belda Elysium mansion mod. It's very nice, especially when HDR lighting is enabled. He should have given it a quest though, so the mansion is not free.

Well, i fonud the item moving answer on google, so I have been painfully placing items around the house. Whoever made it like that should be forced to re-place every item in the game. It's really hard sometimes, I keep knocking things over. And books! I need to figure out how that mod I got works for putting books away.

Sometimes, I just drop everything and leave. Then, when I come back, I'm greeted with a dozen Sigil Stones floating in the air that weren't there before.

Moving things precisely is an art, though. I've done it with the dining room table in the Skingrad house.

I love the water, I jsut wonder, where the heck are the fish? I Morrowind you couldn't swim anywhere without getting a slaughter fish attacknig you, here, the ocean seems, DEAD.

It's the water pollution I tell you! Pollution!

See how the cities pump their filth into the rivers and lakes without filtering of any kind? Most of the aquatic life are long dead! Dead!

Heh, I decided to have some fun so I gathered up the pewter objects in the house (I don't want stuff with lead in it) and threw them off the upper balconey. Then I decided I needed a garbage dump. I looked around, and decided to throw the pewter off the little cliffside deck above the waterfalls. I ended up throwing some bones and a whole bunch of stolen items off of there. Once any object (even quills) get some gravity speed they keep on rolling! The stuff seems to be mostly piling up by the tree at the top of the largest fall and in the upper pond. Only one hourglass rolled into the lower pond. One of the scales only fell down half way, another one got stuck by the tree and I carrid the other one down and placed it on one of the falls.

It's fun watching stuff roll down. I can't find the second flower vase though, I'm setting up those (that are stolen) and the crystal balls (that are stolen and have not gone into the water) on the rocks.

I wonder if there will be a fish mod?

(Actually he did the job brilliantly, killing one while I took care of the other two)

Now THAT's the kind of path to the front door I would like!

And it's pretty painting, just a pity about the trolls

Beautiful waterfall!! I just wished you could take screenshots without the icons at the bottom showing (and the crosshair). Kind of ruins the shot (I'd love to use that for a desktop wallpaper)


What's HDR Lighting? My video card doesn't support it.


EDIT: I just love how there's a (now dead) necromancer in the backyard.

Does it give crisp, sharp pictures like the immediately above ones?

Maybe it's time to shell out $400 for a gig of RAM and a new video card... (or wait for next month's Computer Show & Sale)

Try taking screenshots after pressing the "`" button and opening the console. You still get a small white line in the bottom left corner, but its better than the icons and crosshair.

I found another glitch in the arena - atleast I think it is. I finished the quest where you find out the 'Grey Prince''s heritage, and now I'm fighting him in the arena. He won't fight me, but... when I do defeat him, I get the message, "Your killing has been observed by forces unknown".


Maybe it's time for my Khajiit to turn to the dark side...

His not fighting you is because of the Heritage quest, but the fact that it's counted as a murder is a glitch. Nobody cares though, you won't be arrested, though you will be approached by the Dark Brotherhood.

There's a similar glitch in the female gang quest, in which killing one of them counts as a murder...even the two guards that appeared didn't care

The Orc does take a swing at me, but I guess that doesn't trigger a battle. (Maybe it's something I have on - who knows)

@Chieftess - he never took a swing at me, just stood there and grumbled about wanting to die. I felt rather guilty. In my current game I purposely avoided the quest - I wanted to become Champion with a proper battle!

@Prince Scamp: That Manor is great! Thanks for pointing me to it. I've already begun the long process of filling up my display cabinets. I was also worried I'd have to purchase new clothes for the wardrobes, but it comes with some

Also noticed that the alchemy room has all the pots in alphebetical order - very handy. As is having a stable - Horseus Blancus is most pleased.

The Lady of the house relaxes after a hard day - and is suitably atired!

Now, to redecorate!

@Chieftess: I'd say wait an see if you can something on sale. I truthfully do not know what the difference is. Also I have the natural weather mod with HDR .esp on so if I turned off HDR lighting the world will go kind of yellow (or so it says in the readme). I've got a REALLY bad feeling though since I have NOT seen ANY birds just a few insects that came with the game, I think there is something horribly wrong.

Like, my copy of oblivion did not install any (that i know of) textures or meshes onto my computer and is keeping them locked up on the disc....

It's a quest in Cheydinhal where you have to go inside the painting.

Has anybody come across the bug where your 100 point of infamy stays on after removing the gray cowl. Its suppose to go back to normal after removing it, but here one time it didnt go back and i was stuck with 102 point infamy and 2 point fame. I did a google search and i found out i could fix it with the console. But for i few hefty moments i was in panic because i had no saves to go back to.

Nope, I don't have the grey cowl yet.

Does anyone else find it VERY annoying that when you place objects they "sink" a little? I put a blade in a display thing and I can back later it has slid down to the bottom.Also a silver bowl I put on a table the bottom had sunk a little and showed the table top.

I think I just found one of the most breath-taking locations in all of Cyrodil! The mountains just south of Chendynhal. (There's a small cluster of places to go to) Anyway, from that vantage point, you can see the (almost all of the) northern provinces of Cyrodil - Chendynhal, Imperial City, Chorrol, and I think Bravil. I have a screenshot of it.

How do you post screenshots from the game? I press the prnt scrn button and try to paste the picture into paint or something but it doesnt work..
