Shao Yu graciously accepts the position of Regent from Emperor Xian.
He swears that Chen Da Ren will resume control of the state when he has awakened again.
To expedite this, Shao Yu's first order upon assuming his office is to send for the Imperial Physician to wake Chen Da Ren from his coma.

On the Campaign: Two Cavalry divisions will break off from the Chang'an garrison and join the troops in An Ding. I would like to request that either Ma Chao, Ma Teng, Pang De, or any combination of several generals lead the bulk of the forces stationed in An Ding to swiftly raid Ping Yi; although I must ask that one of them stay behind for domestic defense. We mustn't let our leader's absence give our enemies the wrong impression.

Budhha punishes and kills those who betray their friends. I gave him positions and power and he instead closed me in the jail. I didnt do this but i think its fair that this happend. Anyone who ordered this has my thanks.

I learn what I can about poetry from a master, and also rehearse some flowery prose just in case we come across extra-suspicious guards in enemy territory. It's a shame not to be there quite yet... but good to be alive, and to see those ballistas fade farther and farther behind us.

The Chronicles of Kongming

I was speaking of the restoration of the Emperor, and how King Yi was felled by a treacherous foe.
Now Strizu Hao, hearing of the attempted assassination, rode back to Wu Wei and bravely pursued the assassin. The assassin managed to evade him, and escaped.
While King Yi lay in a coma on his bed, another figure crept into his bedchamber, and attempted to slit his throat. King Yi, just in time, came awake, and, seeing the figure above him, seized his dao, and ran the assassin through. His aides, hearing the resulting scream, entered the bedchamber. Seeing them, King Yi stated "He who attempts to slay the virtuous sows the seeds of his own destruction." This saying has passed into legend.
Unfortunately, King Yi suffered from a breakdown due to the shock of his recent wound, and the second attempt at assassination, and is unable to govern his realm. Shao Yu continues to act as regent, on order of Emperor Xian.
When the body of the dead assassin was searched, Shao Yu found a note saying "The gods punish those who betray and take things from their friends. The gods cannot forgive those who, even if they had a very good reason, betray their friends." It appears to have been intended for placement on the king's corpse once the man did the deed.
Meanwhile, the Fang Zi-An expedition was foiled, by a wide river blocking the way to Shang Dang. They could find no ford or ferry, and all attempts to cross it failed. They continued to search for a way around the river.

A party of dignitaries visited Wu Wei, from the feared warlord Lu Bu, and governor Kong Rong.

Having ordered the taking of Ping Yi, A force of soldiers led by Ma Teng and Ma Dai assaulted the walls. They were beaten back, however, with heavy losses.

Filled with vengeance for their defeat, Ma Dai let out some of his wrath on a ballista passing near the city.

Fang Zi-An continued to be baffled by the river.

Dong Feng, a famous craftsman, joined Wu Wei. Fortunately, he did not have any needs that required quests.

With the iron gained at Chang An, the first siege swordsmen were outfitted.

The second battle for Ping Yi raged, culminating in an eventual Liangzhou victory. During the melee, the brave warrior Nigh Ture single-handedly held off a score of Li Jue's royal guard. He is being hailed as a hero.

Speaking of Nigh Ture, he recently dismissed the upper class soldiers from his regiment, stating 'The governor, Nigh Ture, requests that only people who are glad to serve him to join the army'. The common soldiers loved him for this, and are proclaiming themselves 'The Peoples Liberation Army'.
Envoys came in from Zang Ba, leader of the foul Mount Tai Bandits.

Finally, Lobsang was made an official by Shao Yu. Also, Shao Yu, in what the common people consider the virtuous act of the age, poured out the taxes into rebuilding ravaged homes, repairing the Imperial Confucian academies, allowing them to be once again used for the schooling of the people. He also paid out the sum of 10 gold to both Nigh Ture and Strizu Hao; the first payment they have got for their services as governor. He kept a mere 10 gold for himself, the rest going into the royal treasury (better known as King Yi's pocket).

I havent done anything. I want to take revenge because he trapped me. And you are the assasin. Remember, even if dont like Yi he would have freed me so why i wanted him dead? It wouldnt been smarter to be free before i try anything? So i didnt do it. You did it in order to become king. Also you maked it like i did it so no one can connect you with the assasination.

Shao Yu visits Chen Da Ren's immediate family and asks them to handpick trusted bodyguards for their kinsman
as Shao Yu encourages the Imperial Physician to attempt to nurse Chen Da Ren back to health as quickly as possible.
