reddit secret santa worked out for the only time I've ever done it. I got my gift 15-25 days late, but not 200 days late.

Bumblage confirmed! I'll get some pictures up soonish.

I sent the Yeti to CivCube in early-mid April (a bit later than what I remembered and replied in a PM before checking the thread), and as of April 21st he confirmed its arrival. So, as far as I know, the Yeti is still in South Dakota.

Looks like CivCube is still active at CFC, so hopefully he can fill us in on its latest status, and send it on to its next destination (Owen in California, according to the site), whether pictures have proven possible or not.

The progress can be updated to include the yeti's stop in Ohio (instead of Wisconsin; I moved before it got to me), and its current location in South Dakota. The picture with bison in post 674 is my preferred picture for the Ohio stop. Which does remind me that I have a few more on my hard drive...

After being reminded of this thread, I recalled that I still had some pictures from Bumbles' cold, late-winter/early-spring stay in Ohio.

Spoiler 56K Alert :

Out at the park with bison, Bumble finds one lonesome tree. No wonder yetis are so hard to spot; they're much smaller than they're often made out to be!

Heading into the city, Bumble finds that there are buildings in Ohio! Not only that, but there are skyscrapers! It's like being in New York again... sort of.

Here Bumble is at the Statehouse. Unfortunately for Bumble, the legislature was not in session, so Bumble was not able to pass any legislation.

And here Bumble is at the statehouse lawn, with the center of the city visible. No subways here, but there are busses. And the skyscraper to the upper-left was the fifth-tallest building in the world at the time of its completion.

I just heard from CivCube - he said that Bumbles was sent to Owen a couple weeks ago. So hopefully we'll be getting good news from sunny California in the near future. There is hope yet.
