I kind of enjoyed GamersGate's sale of the Bethesda New Year Collection for $29 dollars. even if it was accidental on their part.

And yet another even more disappointing sale today, wow.

Hotline Miami is 50% off for $4.99 (although apparently Amazon might have it on for 75% off $2.49 later this week) and the Batman Franchise is 75% off (cheaper for both games on Amazon too, $9.99).

Max Payne 3 is 75 off on a soon to end flashdeal, and Football Manager 2013 is also 50% off on the longer flash deal. There's also F1 2012 and the alpha/beta Towns is 50% off for the Community Choice.

Possibly because it goes until January 3rd or something, but even then the deals aren't that amazing so I doubt it is just because of that.

I got the 75% off items for CK2, then I liked it so much that I bought the Russian stuff and even the Aztec DLC. LOL Also bought Red Alert 3

Also, quick question, does Battlefield 2 or Battlefield Bad Company 2 have a larger online playerbase?

BFBC2 I would imagine. BF2 is definitely still there, though.

I got myself The Walking Dead 50% off on Christmas Steam Sale


Not sure which has the larger online player base, but I also suspect it's BFBC2. I regularly play the BFBC2: Vietnam expansion and there are usually at least two 32-player server that are full and a bunch of smaller servers, so the vanilla, modern era game should have an active player base. It should be possible to check this somehow..

Both BF2 and BC2 are still alive, although small. BF2 also has a few communities playing different mods like Project Reality.

Hell, Age of Mythology is still alive. Any decent game is going to have at least a couple servers long after its devs are eaten by EA or Activision.
