The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Im basically at the fight with red. Freaking impossible. Level 81 pikachu with volt tackle? OTK's everrrryyything.

One Earthquake from a pokemon half its level can kill it.

No "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker"?

PSP owners, I am ashamed.

Everyone should take their triennial helping of BS from Kojima.

And they should do it with a smile... ;)

He's 81 for you? In mine he's 88. And Elite Four, Mark II has me going up against LV 75 Dragonites. Talk about crapping yourself.

This would be easier to accomplish if that same Pikachu didn't also have Iron Tail.

No your right it was 88. Its annoying, he OTK's me before I can even act. Even my fastest pokemans. And I dont want to be cheap and use legendaries. The charizard I didnt have trouble with, and Im sure I can handle the venosaur and the Blastoise, but that pikachu is to fassstt.

Only one option then: Nuke em!

Fallout 3, Call of Juarez Bound in Blood (HELLA FUN) and CoD 4 MW (also hella fun, but oh so short SP)

IDK what to make of Fallout, I went out into the wastelands with nought but a pistol and the sheriff's chinese assault rifle with 50 rounds. (He died in the gunfight with the agent guy)

I soon encountered raiders... two at first, then three more at a river crossing. I eliminated them all easily, but as I swam across the river to loot the corpses two Super Mutant Orcish things appeared with miniguns or some such device. I expended all my ammo for all my guns at them without much success, and they had me pinned down behind some tires on the opposite side of the river. I decided to call it quits cuz I was for all intents and purposes dead, good thing I had just saved it :)

The regular vanilla or the Game of the Year edition (Has all of the DLC)?

In other news, I just bought Resident Evil 5 :crazyeye:.

How is Resident Evil, it looks fun but is it zombiehunter-masterclass worthy?

For me, the deciding factor is his Lapras. Its faster and tougher than anything I have, and my team is low-60s. Frustrating that I can best a LV 75 Dragonite, but not a LV 80 Lapras!

I just bought the best arcade console racer: Crash Team Racing!!!

and it is Awe......some!!!!!!!

"New Games" I got recently:

Lego Star Wars (complete). Amusing for the unlockables and in co-op, but basically a 1-button fighter. Would have been totally excellent if they had incorporated some more complicated fighting moves like the old-school side-scrollers.

Supreme Commander (1, without expansion). Took me quite a long while to warm up to it, but playable.

Gun and Rebel Assault 3 (for GC, played on the Wii). Gun is pretty repetive for a non-linear game, but truly a badass game.

Fallout Trilogy (#1 rocks, #2 is sort of cool and meh at the same time, Tactics is cool for the RTT but as I'm playing in ironman mode it tends to kill my interest to repetively botch the missions at the end).

MoO3.

Starcraft (1) Kind of love/hate it. Love it for the inventiveness of some the sides, history, and a decent campaign that many modern games can't compare with, but feels basically like C&C slightly evolved. I feel anyone who claims this game is the #1 strat/RTS game of all time is just plagiarizing old gaming lists.

On Order:

Company of Heroes Anthology( I shall get back into the best RTS of all times, and play Tales of Valor too).

Also considering ordering Men of War, Codename Panzers 2 (the demo campaign is so ridiculously cheeky), and Lego Batman.

Tales of Valor is meh. If you got it for cheap its nice for a couple hours of entertainment, but I regret buying it at full price.

Just rented this little kind of fun looking Star Wars tCW: Lightsaber Duels. Going to play it tomorrow. Wanted something kind of casual.

Men of War is interesting to be sure, but I found it to be far inferior to CoH

Men of War looks awesome. I tried the demo, but it lagged really bad.

I'm under the impression that it adds new units that are useful in skirmish mode. For that, I think it'll be worth it, especially since I don't think we'll be getting a true CoH sequel, just CoH: Online with microtransactions.

I was impressed by MoW because of the youtube videos, and it's basically cheap if you pass up on the expansion.

I newly decided I am anticipating RUSE, since the beta videos make it seem pretty ok in a Supreme Commander kind of way, though it won't quite have the CoH charm.
