Summary: It is 2381. Starfleet has suffered a string of devastating losses at the hands of a massive Borg invasion. No help will arrive from the allies of the Federation, for the Borg are devastating their worlds as well. The situation has progressively worsened, and almost all hope is lost. Starfleet Command has sent one message to all Starfleet ships still operating. “If Earth falls, the Federation is not soon after. In that event, take as many civilians as you can with you and run. Run. As fast as you can. Command out.” A steady stream of ships is leaving the planet peacefully rotating below your ship, but on the surface there is no panic. Instead, Earth is meeting its demise with dignity. Candlelight vigils are being held all over the planet, and people are spending what will most likely be their last hours with their families. The Borg are hours away from Earth, and the Enterprise has disappeared from Starfleet’s status board. You order the cutting off of the footage from the battle over Vulcan. You can’t bear the screams of pain and terror anymore. However, it stays on long enough for you to witness the first beam of green energy destroying ShiKhar. You stare at the blackness of space, hoping that it will calm you. A ripple distorts the space on the screen, and all of a sudden the lights of the stars blend into a white blanket enclosing all of the ships. When it dissipates again, you see an unfamiliar region of space. It is soon determined that you are in a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies. The Federation is centuries away, even at maximum warp. Luckily, it appears that the rest of the Fleet that had been defending Earth has been transported with you.

You will take command of a ship of this fleet. Your mission: to lead your people either home, or to safety, and to perhaps continue exploration along the way and deal with the dangers of an unknown area. The Federation will take a century or even centuries to reach even at maximum warp. But, perhaps you will take the initiative and continue home. Or, perhaps the fleet will soon decide to settle in their new region, fearing the Federation too long away to reach; you will thus tame a new homeworld, set up new colonies, meet with locals, and perhaps forge a New Federation in this far off region.

Say within the fleet is based not on ship, but on rank. As you are all Captains of your ship (as well as playing the ship itself), you are thus all equal, and can -if you wish- have self determination to secede from the fleet to carry on as you wish independently, perhaps with others who wish to follow your line of thought.

Basic Gameplay:

Players will, as stated previously, assume command of a ship, which they are free to decide the class of. As commander of a ship, and playing the ship as a whole, they will decide what the ship does, voice their opinions to the rest of the fleet, and participate in democratic decision making where things are put up to a vote. They are also free, should they choose, to secede from the fleet, and do something alone.

When we start, I will also select the Commodore of the Fleet. I will not tell you how I will select the Commodore. The Commodore will technically be in command of the Fleet, along with his/her ship. Note the word “technically.”

Players are free to have their ships do whatever they want, and plan whatever they want within the group.

The game could take a number of paths. The fleet could settle in an inhabitable system immediately, and attempt to begin a new life, and new civilization in this far off region, perhaps even establishing a New Federation once their settled world is successfully tamed. Or perhaps the fleet will take the Voyager route, and attempt to get home no matter what, surveying space as they go, and attempting to keep alive by getting power and supplies from planets and traders along the way (keep in mind, the TNG era has replicators, but raw matter must be used in the process and the Bussard collectors cannot collect enough to support the normal operations of a ship and its crew, meaning supplies will need to be sought from time to time). Or perhaps a middle ground, where they attempt to get home for a while before giving in and settling somewhere. Perhaps part of the fleet can break off from the other, giving the game multiple storylines.

Perhaps in a way, this game could be said to be like Oregon Trail, with the chance to play Civilization too.

Rules:

If it is not explicitly mentioned that something cannot be done in the rules, then it is most likely possible. Contact me through Private or Visitor messaging to ask if something is possible. Think out of the box!

Turns will be 1 month in length. During each month, I will also have four Mini-Updates, or weeks. Births will be announced during week updates, while supply ratings will be recalculated during monthly updates.

Dice roll system: d10

Results of 10 are best outcome, and 1 are worst. 5 is ok. 6 to 10 good, 4 to 1 bad.

2 dice rolls per action: 1 roll to determine success or failure of action, 1 roll to determine quality/type of results.

Not everything will be an action. I will make determinations when you send in actions to me.

Supplies and Supply Consumption:

Each ship starts off with supply rating of 100 per category with some exceptions, representing maximum number of supplies. Supply categories include: Energy, Antimatter/Dilithium, Replicator Matter, Spare Parts, Photon Torpedoes, quantum Torpedoes, and Phaser batteries (the hand phasers, not the ship phasers). Food and Spare Parts are to be considered a constant full rating for as long as your replicators are working and you have raw matter for them, but it is tied into energy consumption and will come into play should energy levels reach states that force conserving of power in those areas. Food’s maximum rating is the size of the crew the ship is designed for*2. Each crewperson consumes 0.25 of a food unit per month. Food can also come into play if replicators are damaged somehow, and thus unable to function at all or function well enough to feed the entire crew. Replicator matter will have a maximum of the size of the crew the ship is designed for*3. Each crewperson will consume 1 replicator unit per month, and the ship will consume ½ of the crew number the ship is designed for.

Items will be consumed through use, and replenished through trade, mining, scavenging, and so on.

An amount will be subtracted or added from/to each category per round, utilizing dice for variable matters, and with modifiers such as crew stresses, traded goods, good events, and so on to determine the counts of supplies after a round per ship.

Births and Deaths:

Deaths are intertwined with results of actions and results of events which may result in deaths. Obviously, such numbers will be deducted from the crew.

Births will, over time, make up for any losses of numbers. The formula for birth is as follows:

(Crew Size - crew killed last year)/2

So if 12 crew died last year and the ship had 220 crew before the deaths, its:
(220-12)/4
208/4
52

That means 52 babies, at most, will be born that year. To determine the actual amount of births, I will generate a random number between the possible birth number and 1. That number will be the amount of births.

If no crew died, then it would be:
(220-0)/4
220/4
55

That means 55 babies max could be born per year.

This equation and number will be altered if a planetary settlement route is followed to represent the increased number of births given those circumstances and the requirements of a new society.

Events:

Events will be randomly generated occurrences which could occur to either the fleet as a whole or simply one ship. These can be good things, such as running across an abandoned crate of dilithium crystals in space, to something bad such as a power coupling blowing which damages the food synthesizers and forces their repair. Such things will occur based on randomness, without preference or malice.

Planetary Classification
Spoiler :
Class A - Geothermal

AGE: 0-2 billion years old
DIAMETER: 1,000 - 10,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone/Ecosphere/
Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Partially molten, very
hot
ATMOSPHERE: Carbon dioxide,
hydrogen
EVOLUTION: Cools to become
Class C
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Gothos

Class A planets are very small, barren
worlds rife with volcanic activity.
This activity traps carbon dioxide in
the atmosphere and keeps
temperatures on Class A planets very
hot, no matter the location in a star
system. When the volcanic activity
ceases, the planet "dies" and is then
considered a Class C planet.

Class B - Geomorteus

AGE: 0-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 1,000 - 10,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone
SUFRACE: Partially molten
ATMOSPHERE: Extremely tenuous
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Mercury, Nebhilu
m

Class B planets are generally small
worlds located within a star system's
Hot Zone. Highly unsuited for
humanoid life, Class B planets
have
thin atmospheres composed primarily
of helium and sodium. The surface is
molten and highly unst
able;
temperatures range from 450° in the
daylight, to nearly -200° at night. No
life forms have ever been observed on
Class B planetoids.

Class C - Geoinactive

AGE: 2-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 1,000 - 10,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone/Ecosphere/
Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Barren
ATMOSPHERE: None
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Psi 2000

When all volcanic activity on a Class A
planet ceases, it is considered Class C.
Essentially dead, these small worlds
have cold, barren surfaces and
possess no geological activity.

Class D - Dwarf

AGE: 2-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 100 - 4,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone/Ecosphere/
Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Barren and cratered
ATMOSPHERE: None or very tenuous
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Pluto, Ceres, Eredas-Il

Also known as Plutonian objects,
these tiny worlds are composed
primarily of ice and are generally not
considered true planets. Many moons
and asteroids are considered Class D,
as are the larger objects in a star
system's Kuiper Belt. Most are not
suitable for humanoid life, though
many can be colonized via pressure
domes.

Class E - Geoplastic

AGE: 0-2 billion years old
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Molten, high surface temp.
ATMOSPHERE: Hydrogen compounds
EVOLUTION: Cools to become Class F
LIFE FORMS: Carbon cycle
EXAMPLES: Excalbia

Class E planets represent the earliest
stage in the evolution of a habitable
planet. The core and crust is
completely molten, making the planets
susceptible to solar winds and
radiation and subject to extremely
high surface temperatures. The
atmosphere is very thin, composed of
hydrogen and helium. As the surface
cools, the core and crust begin to
harden, and the planet evolves into a
Class F world.

Class F - Geometallic

AGE: 1-3 billion years old
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Volcanic, barren
ATMOSPHERE: Carbon dioxide, ammonia,
methane
EVOLUTION: Cools to become Class G
LIFE FORMS: Bacteria
EXAMPLES: Janus IV

A Class E planet makes the transition
to Class F once the crust and core
have begun to harden. Volcanic
activity is also commonplace on Class F
worlds; the steam expelled from
volcanic eruptions eventually
condenses into water, giving rise to
shallow seas in which simple bacteria
thrive. When the planet's core is
sufficiently cool, the volcanic activity
ceases and the planet is considered
Class G.

Class G - Geocrystalline

AGE: 3-4 billion years old
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Rocky, mostly barren
ATMOSPHERE: Carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen
EVOLUTION: Cools to Class H, K, L, M, N, O, P
LIFE FORMS: Vegetation, simple organisms
EXAMPLES: Delta Vega

After the core of a Class F planet is
sufficiently cool, volcanic activity
lessens and the planet is considered
Class G. Oxygen and nitrogen are
present in some abundance in the
atmosphere, giving rise to increasingly
complex organisms such as primitive
vegetation like algae, and animals
similar to sponges and jellyfish. As the
surface cools, a Class G planet can
evolve into a Class H, K, L, M, N, O, or
P class world.

Class H - Desert

AGE: 4-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 8,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Hot, arid; less than 20%
surface water
ATMOSPHERE: Oxygen, nitrogen,
argon, metals
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Drought-resistant
plants/animals
EXAMPLES: Dimovius, Nimbus III,
Corneria, Ocampa

A planet is considered Class H if less
than 20% of its surface is water.
Though many Class H worlds are
covered in sand, it is not required to
be considered a desert; it must,
however, receive little in the way of
precipitation. Drought-resistant
plants and animals are common on
Class H worlds, and many are
inhabited by humanoid populations.
Most Class H worlds are hot and arid,
but conditions can vary greatly.

Class I - Ice Giant (Uranian)

AGE: 2-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 30,000 - 100,000 km
LOCATION: Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Rock, ice, methane, ammonia
ATMOSPHERE: Hydrogen, helium
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Uranus, Neptune, Q`tahL

Also known as Uranian planets, these
gaseous giants have vastly different
compositions from other giant worlds;
the core is mostly rock and ice
surrounded by a tenuous layers of
methane, water, and ammonia.
Additionally, the magnetic field is
sharply inclined to the axis of
rotation. Class I planets typically form
on the fringe of a star system.

Class J - Gas Giant (Jovian)

AGE: 2-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 50,000 - 500,000 km
LOCATION: Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Liquid metallic hydrogen
ATMOSPHERE: Hydrogen, helium
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Jupiter, Saturn

Class J planets are massive spheres of
liquid and gaseous hydrogen, with
small cores of metallic hydrogen.
Their atmospheres are extremely
turbulent, with wind speeds in the
most severe storms reaching 600 kph.
Many Class J planets also possess
impressive ring systems, composed
primarily of rock, dust, and ice. They
form in the Cold Zone of a star
system, though typically much closer
than Class I planets.

Class K - Adaptable

AGE: 4-10 billion years old
DIAMETER: 5,000 - 10,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Barren, little surface water
ATMOSPHERE: Thin, mostly carbon dioxide
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Primitive single-cell organisms
EXAMPLES: Mars, Mudd

Though similar in appearance to Class
H worlds, Class K planets lack the
robust atmosphere of their desert
counterparts. Though rare, primitive
single-celled organisms have been
known to exist, though more complex
life never evolves. Humanoid
colonization is, however, possible
through the use of pressure domes
and in some cases, terraforming.

Class L - Marginal

AGE:
4-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Rocky; little surface water
ATMOSPHERE: Argon, oxygen, trace
elements
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Limited to vegetation
EXAMPLES: Alarin III, Ciden II,
Indri VII

Class L planets are typically rocky,
forested worlds devoid of animal life.
They are, however, well-suited for
humanoid colonization and are prime
candidates for terraforming. Water is
typically scarce, and if less than 20%
of the surface is covered in water,
the planet is considered Class H.

Class M - Terrestrial

AGE:
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Abundant surface water;
temperate climate
ATMOSPHERE: Nitrogen, oxygen, argon
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Vegetation, animal & humanoid
EXAMPLES: Earth, Cardassia, Kalidar, Vulcan

Class M planets are robust and varied
worlds composed primarily of silicate
rocks, and are highly suited for
humanoid life. To be considered Class
M, between 20% and 80% of the
surface must be covered in water; it
must have a breathable oxygen-
nitrogen atmosphere and temperate
climate.

Class N - Reducing

AGE: 3-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: Barren; high temperatures
ATMOSPHERE: Carbon dioxide and
sulfides
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Venus

Though frequently found in the
Ecosphere, Class N planets are not
conducive to life. The terrain is
barren, with surface temperatures in
excess of 500 and an atmospheric
pressure more than 90 times that
of a Class-M world. Additionally, the
atmosphere is very dense and
composed of carbon dioxide; water
exists only in the form of
thick,vaporous clouds that shroud
most of the planet.

Class O - Pelagic

AGE: 3-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: 80% water, archipelagos
ATMOSPHERE: Nitrogen, oxygen, argon
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Cetacean, humanoid, animal
EXAMPLES: Azati Prime, Ka`Tula Prime,
Zirat

Any planet with more than 80% of the
surface covered in water is
considered Class O. These worlds are
usually very warm and possess vast
cetacean populations in addition to
tropical vegetation and animal life.
Though rare, humanoid populations
have also formed on Class O planets.

Class P - Glaciated

AGE: 3-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Ecosphere
SUFRACE: 80% frozen water, cold
ATMOSPHERE: Nitrogen, oxygen
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Vegetation, animal,
& humanoid
EXAMPLES: Andoria, Exo III,
Rebena Te Ra, Rura Penthe

Any planet whose surface is more
than 80% frozen is considered Class P.
These glaciated worlds are typically
very cold, with temperatures rarely
exceeding the freezing point. Though
not prime conditions for life, hearty
plants and animals are not uncommon,
and some species, such as the Aenar
and the Andorians, have evolved on
Class P worlds.

Class Q - Variable

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 4,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone/Ecosphere/
Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Molten, frozen,
jungle, etc
ATMOSPHERE: Very tenuous to very dense
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Genesis Planet

These rare planetoids typically
develop with a highly eccentric orbit,
or near stars with a variable output.
As such, conditions on the planet's
surface are widely varied. Deserts
and rain forests exist within a few
kilometers of each other, while
glaciers can simultaneously lie very
near the equator. Given the constant
instability, is virtually impossible for
life to exist on Class-Q worlds

Class R - Rogue

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 4,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Interstellar space
SUFRACE: Temperate
ATMOSPHERE: Primarily volcanic outgassing
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Non-photosynthtic plants,
animals
EXAMPLES: Dakala, Beneihm, Founders'
Homeworld (prior to 2371)

A Class R planet usually forms within a
star system, but at some point in its
evolution, the planet is expelled,
likely the result of a catastrophic
asteroid impact. The shift radically
changes the planet's evolution; many
planets merely die, but geologically
active planets can sustain a habitable
surface via volcanic outgassing and
geothermal venting.

Class S - Gas Supergiant

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 500,000 - 100,000,000 km
LOCATION: Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Liquid metallic hydrogen
ATMOSPHERE: Hydrogen and helium
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Tethe-Alla IV

Aside from their immense size, Class S
planets are very similar to their Class J
counterparts, with liquid metallic
hydrogen cores surrounded by a
hydrogen and helium atmosphere.

Class T - Gas Ultragiant

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 50,000,000 - 120,000,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone/Cold Zone
SUFRACE: Liquid hydrogen, deuterium
ATMOSPHERE: Hydrogen and helium
EVOLUTION: Can evolve into red dwarf stars
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Diadem, Tethe-Alla V

Class T planets represent the upper
limits of planetary masses. Most exist
within a star system's Cold Zone and
are very similar to Class S and J
planets. However, Class T planets
occasionally form within a star
system's Hot Zone. If they are
sufficiently massive (13 times more
massive than Jupiter), deuterium
ignites nuclear fusion within the core,
and the planet becomes a red dwarf
star, creating a binary star system.

Class X - Chthonian

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 1,000 - 10,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone
SUFRACE: Barren, extremely hot
ATMOSPHERE: None
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: None
EXAMPLES: Osirus

Class X planets are the result of a
failed Class T planet in a star system's
Hot Zone. Instead of becoming a gas
giant or red dwarf star, a Class X
planet was stripped of its hydrogen/
helium atmosphere. The result is a
small, barren world similar to a Class B
planet, but with no atmosphere and
an extremely dense, metal-rich core.

Class Y - Demon

AGE: 2-10 billion years
DIAMETER: 10,000 - 15,000 km
LOCATION: Hot Zone
SUFRACE: Barren; extremely hot
ATMOSPHERE: Turbulent, with toxic radiation
EVOLUTION: N/A
LIFE FORMS: Mimetic
EXAMPLES: Planet Hell (Delta Quadrant)

Perhaps the most environmentally
unfriendly planets in the galaxy,
Class Y planets are toxic to life in
every way imaginable. The
atmosphere is saturated with toxic
radiation, temperatures are extreme,
and atmospheric storms are amongst
the most severe in the galaxy, with
winds in excess of 500 kph.

This is my last post.

Event

Your ship has interacted with some unknown anomaly. You are not fully aware of what has occured, but it is quite obvious that you are NOT in Kansas anymore.

Close nearby, you detect other ships with Federation signals. Farther away, you detect other signals. Perhaps wrecks?

----

Ok, so the way this is gonna work is bery simple. Each turn, you guys just roleplay as yous ships. Post stories as much as you like, or at a mimimum of once a "week." An example of an perfect post van be seen below:

USS November Rain:

Cassio was shocked to find that everything was different. During the anomaly, he temporarily blacked out, causing him to not remember what had happened. Getting up, he brushed himself off and walked over to the computer consoles.

"What happened? Whats our status?" He asked.

"Sir, we are not sure, as of yet. We seemed to become separated from the rest of the fleet, but we are OK." The officer paused, looking at the screen in front of her, "We are picking up a whole bunch of signals. Some appear to be the fleet, while others are unknown. Possibly wreaks. What are your orders, captain?"

Cassio shifted his weight. "Well, we seem to know what those signals there are, but lets check out the others. If they are wreaks, there could be survivors there. Begin transmitting signals to the others. They may also be in need."

USS November Rain to All Federation Ships

Is anyone else here? Hello?

Action:

Begins sweeping the area of wreaked ships, hoping to find survivors and possibly anything else, while they also try to signal the other ships.

----

Thats about it, now lets begin!

Oh, we need the stats! Here ya go:

Too All Federation Ship Captains:

Hello, all, I am Commodore Thomas Sanchez of the USS Temeraire. I would like to thank you all for coming aboard, and I know that you have alot to deal with on your own ships, so I'll keep this short. Telemetry Data indicates that we are no longer in the Milky way. I know that a number of people will want to make the journey home, but, even if that were technically possible, I do not believe it to be a good Idea. While it may seem depressing, we all know that the federation had fallen, and that our last orders were for an evacuation. So, In my mind, we have fulfilled our last orders admirably. As such we must make a new life here, while never forgetting the sacrifice made by those left behind.
Now, lets get down to business. Captain T'kral, is the Nightingale ready to accept refugees? We need to be sure to keep everyone as healthy as possible.
Captain Finnegan, Can you take the Hoona out to try to track down any other refugees that have been transported out of immediate range?
Are there any Questions or suggestions? We need to coordinate our response.

Transmission Routed throughout the fleet:

This is Commodore Thomas Sanchez speaking to you from the USS Temeraire. I know that we are all in shock, I know that we are all Mouring the lost. I know that we are all thinking "are they the lucky ones? That's what you're thinking, isn't it? We're a long way from home. We've been transported way beyond the range of the Federation, into uncharted space. Limited supplies, limited fuel. No allies, and now, no hope? Maybe it would have been better for us to have died quickly, back in Federation space with our families, instead of dying out here slowly, in the emptiness of dark space. Where shall we go? What shall we do? I will tell you what we will do. We will Survive. We will Grow, we will flourish, here, far beyond the Reach of the Borg. Look around you. Take a good look at the men and women that stand next to you. Remember their faces, for one day you will tell your children and your grandchildren that you served with such men and women as the universe has never seen. And together, you'll accomplish the feat that will be told and retold down through the ages, and find immortality as only the gods once knew. I'm proud to serve with you.

To all Federation ship Captains
Hello all, I am Steven Cryka of the Federation starship Prometheus. All of you know of the trek Voyager made across the Delta quadrant. We will not be able to do the same. They didn't have to cross vast reaches of empty space as we would have to do. There would be no stops along the way to refuel and resupply. It would be a better idea to settle our new galaxy far away from the current reach of the Borg. I will however, not leave us blind. Any captains who are restless due to the destruction of our own homes, come with me. I will separate you into groups depending on what ships you command. We will need diplomats, scouts, scientists, and battleships. I will be proud to serve in the coming hard times with all who stay. First of all, we need a suitable planet to settle on. Once one is found, we will settle there unless it is occupied by intelligent life. Remember the prime directive of Starfleet as we do this. The federation will not die. It has only moved.

To all Ships of unknown origins
I am Steven Cryka of the Federation starship Prometheus. I hope you have arrived here undamaged. We are in the same situation as you are. Our sensors cannot pick up who you are, so I offer a hand in peace. I am guessing that we were both transported here by the same phenomenon. If you are not of the federation, I ask you, where are you from?

USS Constitution NCC-19928: Captain's Log, Stardate 49421.9.

This is Captain Willis Wode's first entry on the newly commisioned USS Constitution NCC-19928 Nova-class frigate liner. We've left drydock over Earth at a steady warp 7.6, heading for Nevela IV and the neutral zone. My Chief Engineer, Lt Daniel Ekkerman (Human), has advised we stick to the lower warp speeds for her maiden voyage, but our mission is far too important to let a little superstition or luck stop our shipment to the Nevelar system.

USS Constitution NCC-19928: Captain's Log, Stardate 49428.4.

We are holding position on the Federation side of the Neutral Zone, awaiting permission from both the Romulan Empire and Starfleet Command before entering. The Nevelar system is just a few light-years beyond it. Cdr Skon (Vulcan), my first officer, has had previous experience in the area, and says the bureaucracy is a nightmare. As a Vulcan saying that, I am now feeling the pressure of command, the weight of the world of Nevela IV on my shoulders, the glare of Admiral Paris on my back, and the Borg around every corner, in every shadow. Why did I ever accept this promotion?

Willis Wode out.

USS Constitution NCC-19928: Captain's Log, Stardate 49428.4 Supplemental.

A communique from Starfleet Command has bid all Federation vessels return to earth at once for evacuation. The Borg armada has made it past Vulcan and Rigar VII, and a borg transit hole is slowly forming near Jupiter. Upon discussion with Admiral Paris, we have decided that Constitution could only make it in time if we jettisoned the supplies before reaching the starving world of Nevela IV and overheated her warp engines in the process.

USS Constitution NCC-19928: Captain's Log, Stardate 49436.7.

It'd be Friday back on Earth. A captain doesn't get days off, though, does he? That's something. The Romulan Ambassadors G'tok and Giellum have come aboard, and we have been given permission to enter the Neutral Zone. We are headed towards the Nevelar system at Warp 8, and are expected to arrive within the hour. We'll be shortly delivering 40kg of dried rations, 11kg of medical supplies and tricorders, and 50 Replicators to the Federation Embassy to be distributed around the hospitals. Then it's high warp back to Earth to join the Federation Armada amassing there, preparing for an evacuation I hope won't need to happen.

USS Constitution NCC-19928: Captain's Log, Stardate 49436.7 Supplemental.

We've delivered the supplies and have about-faced and are heading at Warp 8 towards the Sol system and Earth. This very well might be Captain Willis Wode's final Log.

Ensign Harold Bride, an Englishman, was the first to wake up.

"Captain? Commander Skon?"

He rubbed the back of his head. What? Where was he? Was he a borg?

Quickly, he grabbed his face. No, no ocular implant. Good, not quite a borg, yet. Thank God for that.

The red alert lights flashed bu the Klaxon had stopped. Maybe hours ago. Maybe even days.

He checked the time com on his glowing, silent console. The darn thing had stopped.

Commander Skon lifted herself from the floor, brushing the black particulates from her red command suit, and taking her seat next to the Captain's empty chair.

"Ensign Bride, status."

"Uhh," he said, rubbing his head again.

Commander Skon stood from her chair and walked to the empty security console. Where was everybody? Half of the bridge crew was missing, the Klaxons had stopped, a dozen panels had been ripped from the ceiling, and Ensign Bride seemed to have a concussion.

She tapped her comminicator and worked urgently on the weapons console, bringing up shields and phasers in case the Borg spheres that had been chasing them caught up.

Bleeblip.

"Bridge to the Medical Bay, please respond."

No response. Typical. Who ever hired a Ferengi doctor?

Bleeblip.

"Bridge to Medical Bay, please respond."

"Commander, the good news is, we're no longer being pursued by the Sphere."

"The bad news is, we're no longer in the Milky Way."

USS Prometheus NCC-79565: Captain's Log, Stardate 49421.5
The Federation fleet was smashed by the borg recently. The battle was gruesome. First, a Borg Sphere appeared from the lane and threw a message at every single ship.

"We are the borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is Futile."

After that, several more borg vessels appeared. The Federation ships looked like mice beside elephants as the borg attacked. Green death covered space. One of the beams hit us and we barely made it out in one piece. We took out many borg ships but the spheres and cubes numbered too many. They eventually beat most of the ships up and assimilated all of their crews. At that point, Admiral Paris sent a message to every Federation starship. Only the ones without borg on them started on the return trip to Earth giving up Vulcan for lost.

USS Prometheus NCC-79565: Captains Log, Stardate 49426.1
The remnants of the fleet are being chased by the borg. We have already lost 10 ships since we fled. The borg continue to gain ground even though we are going as fast as we can. I'll be surprised if we are not next.

USS Prometheus NCC-79565: Captains Log, Stardate 49435.2
There are only 5 of our ships remaining now. We started over crewed and are happy we did. We sent some people over to help defend the Intrepid, but the Intrepid fell to the Borg and we lost every single person we sent. We are now running on 150 crew members.

USS Prometheus NCC-79565: Captains Log. Stardate 49436.1
We have nearly reached Earth now with the borg biting on our ankles. If we survive to reach Earth, we will only have to continue the battle with only the two remaining ships plus the ones at Earth. This will probably be my last log.

USS Prometheus NCC-79565: Captains Log. Stardate ?
When we reached Earth, a blinding flash of light happened. When everyone awoke, unlike the last 30 days, we were not being chased by the Borg. We know now that we are not even in the Milky Way any longer. There are many ships out there but many are unidentifiable. We know they are not Borg. That is all that matters.

((Sorry, had to steal your story style for that, never thought about writing out the captain's logs from before and after the anomaly transported everyone. Also: My waking up story was looking exactly like yours. I vetoed it now. :())

Commander Nelson was the first to wake up. "Captain! Captain Cryka!" She shouted in the eerie silence. "Wake up! We actually aren't Borg! We are alive!"

"uhhh wha wha wha happenned?" asked Steven Cryka as he wiped his hands over his face. "Wait, there was a blinding flash of light when we dropped out of warp. The doctor... tell him to be ready to receive injured."
"Okay." Commander Nelson contacted the doctor who had been turned on before the flash. "Doctor, prepare to... " "About time! I'm an emergency hologram! Not something for you to leave turned on for hours! Who knows what might happen?..." He continued on yammering for about a minute. "Now, are you done?" "Umm... yes. So you were saying?" "Okay, doctor. There was a blinding flash of light that knocked eveyone unconscious. Further systems could be damaged and people could be injured."
"What happened? I saw a flash of light and then suddenly none of you respond! I've been sitting here for hours!"
"We only know this, we somehow escaped the borg."
"Well, that's charming news for all of you." stated the doctor. "I'll be ready when the patients begin coming in."

After that, Lieutenant-Commander Harris woke up. "What happened?" he asked as he reached for his face and felt everywhere. A look of relief dawned over his face as he noticed he wasn't of the borg. "How?" He checked the navigation computer which was surprisingly not damaged and he became dismayed. "I know why we escaped the borg."
"How did we escape them? We could use this in the future." stated Steven Cryka. "I know not how captain, I just know why we escaped them. We are no longer in the Milky Way, never mind the Alpha Quadrant. The sensors are also picking up several signals. Most are federation ships, but there are unidentified ones as well." replied Harris.
"What is the status of our systems?"
"They are not anymore damaged than since we dropped out of warp. From what I see, the transport didn't do any more damage. The shields are still at 50% and the weapons at 75% with the warp drive nearly cooked but it didn't do any damage."
"We will check out the unidentified ships then. Open a channel to the federation ships first, and then after that, we will start towards the unidentified ones while opening a channel."

Action:

Begins to sweep the area of wrecked and unidentified ships for survivors or perhaps another fleet from a different quadrant or galaxy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, I am Colonel Kira. Bajorans were able to cooparate with the humans and man a ship together. USS Oceania, Luna class Federation ship was ordered to defend DS9 and Bajor. After loosing shields and weapons in a heavy fight against 3 borg cubes destroying DS9 and Bajor, Kira fortunately managed to escape and hurrying to Earth, where she meets the remaining Earth defending fleet. Suddenly a spacetime Continuum distortion brings the fleet somewhere nowhere and joins the captains meeting of the LoSt Fleet.

My last logbook Insertion before battle:

USS Oceania NCC-80150: Captain's Log Kira Neerys, Stardate 49455.2.
Just got order from Starfleet Headquarters to organize Defending Squadron around Bajor and DeepSpace9. Long range Sensors detected 3 Borg Cubes coming all the way eating every planet on their stop to refuel. Evacution of DS9 and Bajor is full undergoing. Prime Minister Kai Ton Liavi gave me orders to flee to Earth and give there a Last Standing should the Borgs be successful here around. We hope to give the Borgs a hard time and destroy perhaps 1 of their cubes to decimate them before they reach even Earth.

USS Oceania NCC-80150, Captains Official Logg; Stardate Unknown
In the First Captains Meeting of the Fleet we managed to arrange bacical arrangement which primarily involved in sheltering the refugees we loaded and protecting formation of civilian ships we're tagging along. Also we discussed our position in the space. We tried to get federation time signal but werent unsucessful to get any signals from the whole federation including Earth, Vulcan, DS9. We stranded with 10 FederationShips and a bunch of CivilianShips. We are unsure what to do and are primarily involved in repairing damages our ships got. And sending technicians and doctors helping civilian ships out.
More than 10, when we get more

USS Oceania NCC-80150, Captains Log, supplemental; Stardate Unknown
We finished our repairs on the ship and are likely full operational. We had suffered some structural damages too, but were able to fix it. We even replicated some of the hull materials to get it fixed.
Mainly awaiting orders from fleet commander Captain Sanchez of the USS Temeraire, inner ship conference with my bridge crew was held. Think we are going to explore the environment while working on the anomaly research too.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Me awakning this morning rather exhausted from the ongoing repairs yesterday. Yes, it was a rather too long day. Replication of hull material was a rather difficult thing to do so too. Well Ezri I like most, she was able to succeed finding last missing component to be able to create hull material. My lovely Number 1.

Our daily morning conference I started with these words:
"I know, we are still very shocked of being stranded without our home. Rather we would have died in defending our home against borg, yehh heroic death we must always be assure of while being serving as starfleet soldiers. But I feel a little better today, only still having last days hard work in the bones, still...."

Ezri:"Yes, maam. I feel like that too. I think we must look now forward. And since the ship is fully repaired now, we should look what we can do today. Anyone anything you wanna have focused on?"

SooYoung:"Giving my ordinary daily report first. Engine status normal, no hostile activities in the environment. Ship is in stationary status, but since now fully operational, it can be moved. Suggest to start cruising."

Kolline:"Last days tumult among a larger group of the crew was able to be given a halt. We confiscated their phasers and locked them in the bunks. There are momentarily 84 humans/52bajorans of mostly ensign rankings on it. But also 18 leutenants who obviously leaded the uprising. According to the 222 refugges onboard, some could be in some free crew quarters but mosts are in the cargo bays sheltered."

Jane:"MachineDeck Status normal. We dont have any emergent problems since repais are finished. Actuall dilithium crystall production 64%, yesterday 73% and prognose tomorrow increading again."

Doc Mizuki:"We have some really big prob here on medical section. Yepp, we got more personnel yesterday from crew, but with the uprising we lost most of that additinoal crew members to treat injuries among crewmembers and also our refugees."

Counsellor Rennan:"The crew is still very upset and morale is rather low. And with that many refugees we had that uprising yesterday but we try to damp it with the coordination of security."

Scientist/Historian Kalelothran:"According to anomaly research. I have written a large report last night and am very tired this morning. Please apologize me."

Kira: "Assign one third of the crew members we can rely on to medical section. The rest will coordinate security with Kolline and Rennan. SooYoung and Ezri the rest will be spoken on bridge. Youre all dismissed."

While being on bridge I ordered communication with other vessels of the LoSt Fleet
To Captain Sanchez of the USS Temeraire
Dear Fleet Commander!
I dont wanna be in your position. I can feel how hard is for you. Anyways...
USS Oceania fully operational and ready to take orders. Ill attach onboard problems we have still actually, maybe you are able to spare some time helping me out to grab fixx.

To FederationFleet
Greetings fellows, from Kira of the Oceania!
Think we can operate in full range I suppose and I send you all some detailed battle report around Bajor and DS9 to update your historical records. Also we share the long anomaly report out science officer has written yesterday night. And a breakthru detail on hull material replication from Commander Ezri Dax, my Nr One.

To all civilian ships!
Any ship who can take off our refugees will thankfully regarded since it led to a uprising onboard among those who panicked and wanted to independent the ship. Details we discuss upon reponse
Captain Kira of USS Oceania,Federationship NCC-80150

Captains Log, No Stardate
Freighter Huckleberry Finn and Transporter Tom Sawyer agreed to helping me out. They took half and another of the refugees in their capacity so we're freed of refugees, cleared up cargobays.
I ordered to navigate in cruising sensoring surroundings.

Action: We are going to uncover the source of signals next to our position

Transmission from Thomas Sanchez of the Temeraire:

Captain Cryka. I must ask you to desist in your actions to separate the Fleet. As highest Ranked officer here, it is my duty and responsibility to organize our ships. It is our Goal to keep the federation alive, but we cannot do that spread alone throughout the Galaxy. If you have suggestions and Complaints, I ask only that you send them to Me, and I will address them to the best of my abilities.
