When was dating (the social custom, not the time-related stuff) invented, and why?

And who was the douche who invented it? :trouble:

Dating was invented by Julius Caesar in the year 29 B.C. After failing to have a successful arranged marriage, he began seeking out women who he found attractive. Normally, he'd pay for a romantic dinner together, but it wasn't unheard of for him to take a date to a gladiator battle or play.

Well I mean in reality. :p

It is a confusing question. Look to me that there isn't any semantic distinction between International Priority Mail and International First-Class Mail.:crazyeye:

I don't look at the fine print whenever I buy stuff online. I only buy hardware stuff from new egg and only choose the option of whatever the name is for the fastest time it will get here! Overnight delivery is how I roll.

The thing is Im in Canada and the item is in US so either ways it's likely to get stuck at customs.

Question: Is International Priority Mail worth $6 as compared to International First-Class Mail at $3?

Also, is there any special ways to store vintage (1980s, not like 1800s) magazines without damaging? Im slightly worried about putting them into a regular magazine rack.

Any option other than the cheapest shipping option available is never worth it.

Thats what I was wondering. I like it when items get fast but thats not so important to me.

Question: What exactly does "lusty teen devotees" mean?

Gaius Julius Caesar had already been dead for twenty years at that point and Gaius Octavius was too busy centralising Imperial power. :)

Is there anything going on with the USPS that would cause my package to be stuck in New Jersey since the 26th? I don't think it's on the border. Do they send packages by ship or something?

Funny thing, I just got it today. And the website says it's still stuck in N.J............

Everything "electrical" is probably being done "manually", if the power is still out.

I am traveling to Switzerland next thursday. The same evening I will drive to Turin and then back to Geneva till fly back to Sweden.

How high are the taxes on silver coins/bullion in these countries? How much silver may I take on the plane? In Sweden the silver taxes are 25% and this really puts me off.

Why him specifically?

yeah, I'd think he would be too old for teenage girls to want to have sex with him. They'd give him a heart attack.

I'd be surprised he has many teenage fans.

You see that phrase used more often with younger pop stars.

In 1986 or 1987, around the Los Angeles area, a private airplane crashed into a backyard swimming pool. I don't have any more specific information, sorry. Google isn't helping me too much. Does anyone know what Im talking about? I know it's real 'cos I have a picture.

I remember hearing somewhere that if a youtube video uses copyrighted material, but lists the proper copyright notices in either the ending credits or the description box, it is less likely to be taken down. Is that true?

I was talking about Kisisus Julius Caesar. That was Gaius's cousin.

What are some other slang terms for other currencies like "buck" and "quid"?
