PAPAL DISSERTATION TO THE CRUSADER STATE

-

His Holiness the Pope Pius XVII is pleased that our brothers in the faith, the crusaders have seen the light of the logos, the divine creative reason from whom all other reason descends and has committed itself to non-agression towards the Papal States, and commited itself to the defence of the Church in general and of the papal states in particular from all infernal powers who would seek to take the position of agressor against it.

The Papal States looks forward to a relationship of fraternity and deepening friendship and co-operation with our christian brothers in future years. It is also our hope that in time, through the fruits of this agreement, the papal states can come to a closer understanding with your misguided brethen within the Comintern and come to work more closely with them. Perhaps even in time we may, together through the illuminating light of Christ and with the aid of the Holy Ghost, turn their governments via the superior merits of the Catholic Faith, from the cold and sterile void of godlessness into the light of the One True Faith, God willing.

However for now, we are merely happy that our dialogue with the Comintern in general and the Crusader State in general has reached an amicable and successful conclusion.

Furthermore we do not know this Mr George and strongly suspect that he is linked to Christos Xinjiang, and may possibly even merely be a pseudonym for the same individual.

You must be joking, right? Christos is leader of the communist party and member of the opposition. He is against my Government.

- Mr. George

A photograph is no evidence at all, the Xinjiangi regime could simply claim that some random functionary is "Mr George" and release a photo of him, while in reality the true leader is the same individual as Christos. Furthermore considering precedent it is not beyond possibility that Mr George should he be in truth a distinct individual is merely a figurehead ruler while Christos continues to govern in truth.

Either way the position of the Holy See is clear. Until empirical fact in the relations between Xinjiang and other states shows a sharp juxtaposition from its previous atttitide, our condemnation of Xinjiangi excesses shall remain and we shall remain skeptical of any Xinjiangi claims. Words are worth nought unless they are backed up with substantial action.

John, leader of the National party ( Born in Germany, but has Xinjiang citizenship):

images-15.jpg

The National Party decided to turn away from the coalition, and become an opposition party, leaving Xinjiang under the rule of the Democratic Party.

The leader of the Communist party, Mr Christos ( First picture) attacked very hard the Democratic party government and the president, Mr George ( second picture) by saying << The economic policy of the government has failed. The cut of taxes, in order to please the people, destroys the nation and it will hurt the people. If the state collapses, then the people will become poor, after living a few good years as rich. Thanks to you, Mr president, the nation will bankrupt. >>

The president, Mr. George replied << Mr Christos, if the taxes are not cut, then the people will be poor and only the rich will win. Your taxes made even the richest landowners into poor farmers. The damage you have done to the people, must be repaired. >>

Mr John ( third picture), leader of the National party said << Mr president, next year when elections will happen, the people will show to you, with their votes, if they support your economic policy or the National party's program for the economy.>>

Furthermore considering precedent it is not beyond possibility that Mr George should he be in truth a distinct individual is merely a figurehead ruler while Christos continues to govern in truth.

Are you kidding me? He votes << No>> in every resolution i try to pass, while he does the most hard opposition and criticism on my government.

-Mr. George

Current Dictator-for-life: Kim Jung Su Kim Jong Kysu Haize Aung Jim-tong
Religion: Taoism, local gods.
In Korea, at least, very little of religious significance survived the Cataclysm save several books explaining the way of the Tao. Though many citizens believe in local gods or spirits as well, the overarching way is that of the Tao.

Social: Authoritarian.
As Korea has continued rebuilding, it has become increasingly obvious that the authority, the sovereignty, of a State is supreme & only it can take care of its citizens. Contact with nations such as Hawai'i have only highlighted this prevailing opinion in the populace.

Fiscal: Socialism.

Humanity continues to survive in this hostile new world by coming together. All in Korea share what they have for the good of all, and no one is left out. Contact with the outside world, seeing nations which defy this to them basic principle of survival has only served to raise a tide of anger against the ideals of Capitalism.

Foreign Policy: Interventionist.

The State presently known as the UDPRK only came into being due to the warlord Kim-Sil conquering his neighboring warlords and forging a greater State. When the UDPRK looks out at the wasteland surrounding it, it sees only those who suffer from drought, starvation, and radiation poisoning. Thus, it is the mission of the United Democratic People's Republic of Korea to bring the entire wasteland under the flag of survival and salvation. The average citizen sincerely believes it is the UDPRK's mission to raise the wasteland up from its condition, and those who interfere in this goal are little different from the hideous mutants.

Language: Klingon, Korean, Japanese.

Many of those who survived the Cataclysm were those who prepared for it. An overwhelming majority of those people were Trekkies. Klingon is a commonly spoken tongue, its original roots long forgotten. Japanese is another big one, usually spoken by dwellers on the southern coast near Japan. But the official language for State business is Korean, as that is the tongue the Old Files were found to be written in.

Currency: Stone(1 gram of pure Granite). Pound

Upon seeing the predominance of the unit of exchange known as the Pound, the UDPRK changed its official currency in order to take a larger role in the global economy.

Business:
The UDPRK is pleased to announce that Aung Jim-tong, former concubine of Kysu Haize, is the new Dictator-For-Life following the mysterious murder of Kysu Haize.
The UDPRK affirms a non-aggression pact with the Papal States.

Deep within the bowels of the old DMZ...

The white coated ones moved around the recently cleaned and refurbished laboratory. Their movement, measured and paced. Chalkboards covered with little squiggles of equations behind them, every surface of the laboratory covered in spare writings. In the center of the lab stood a complicated-looking piece of electronic equipment, complete with a series of six antennae feathered with metallic spars sticking out of one side of it. One of the white-coated ones hovered near the door, motioning to the others. Almost reluctantly, they withdrew from the device as blast shields sealed it in...

The Chief Researcher waited until her colleagues and interns had cleared the area, then pulled the switch. A low-pitched humming began to reverberate around the room. After five minutes, the Chief Researcher gave a sign to her staff, and everyone put on earmuffs. She secured her own, nodded, and began to adjust a dial next to the switch while her colleagues watched a small screen showing the coordinates of the device in the room. As she twisted the dial to a specific setting, the screen began to get fuzzier. An intern gave her a thumbs up, and she twisted the dial all the way to the left. The humming stopped. A few seconds later, chaos reigned.

Suddenly, things began exploding and catching on fire all over the lab. A pack of matches in the pocket of the Deputy Head Researcher caught on fire, turning him into a human torch. A whole cabinet full of cyanide-based industrial cleaners exploded, releasing waves of deadly gas into the room. Several small bottles of pure oxygen burst, sending a temporary blast of flame into the air. The Chief Researcher quickly pulled the switch into the off position as the white coated scientists evacuated the lab & the Deputy Head Researcher endeavored to put out his pants.

A quick dismissal of the Deputy Head Researcher to a hospital & an emergency ventilation of the lab later, the staff gathered back in the room. Fortunately, the damage was minor and the device had been protected by the blast shields. The white coats set to work on figuring out what had happened...

In another facility located underneath the city of Seoul...

Researcher Brown sighed. Why both high-capacity labs in the UDPRK were working on the same project was beyond him. An acoustic jammer for the Kysu can't be this important He thought. The damn thing is already near untargetable. The only way the brass have found to detect it is with ultra-powerful sonar. Why do we need to jam that too? It's not like Hawai'i is going to put sonar in its airplanes. And even if they did, the detection range peaks at half a kilometer. He shrugged. Wasn't his business what the Dictator-for-life figured was worth spending money on. Oops, time to do my job. Brown retreated from the area around their copy of the prototype as the blast shields encased it. Wait, what's that? That looks like a loose wire hanging from the speaker...

On the other side of the room, the facility's Chief Researcher gave a sign, and pulled a switch mounted on the wall. A low humming filled the room, then suddenly it-

Brown could not have described the sound he just heard if he tried to. It was sweet and wonderful and made everything wonderful. Everyone has to hear it. He thought excitedly. But my colleagues still have those earmuffs on. This can't wait.

The Chief Researcher saw Brown begin to grin like an idiot, and then he snatched the noise-canceling earmuffs off an intern and said something. The intern began to grin and dance, and by then she had seen enough. She switched the device off, knowing the computers would have recorded the event, and called security.

About an hour later, what would be termed as the First Outbreak had been contained. All in all, Brown had infected three people before being forcibly restrained, and each of those three had needed to be restrained. Currently, the four were strapped to beds, monitored by deaf nurses.

In the office of Dictator-for-life Kysu Haize:

The Dictator read the reports from the facilities. Incredible. A soundwave which, under repeated testing, detonates anything volatile ranging from matches to oil to missile warheads. This could be just the weapon to get around the nuclear missile thing. Nobody likes those. He put down that document, and picked up the other. Hmm. A previously unknown infectious sound. So it makes them happy, unable to resist being in the throes of ecstasy...and then it shuts off blood to their brain. After they infect others, of course. Apparently no human can hear the sound without succumbing... As the Dictator read and thought, Kizzie walked into his office. She wore her typical professional suit, and carried his customary glass of Sake for the evening.

"Evening, Dictator." She greeted, and then turned to leave.

"Thank you, Kizzie." The Dictator acknowledged. "Wait, before you go..."

"Yes, Dictator?" She questioned.

"When I came into power, you said that nine before me had died in this office. How did they die? Was the killer ever caught?" Dictator Kysu questioned.

"The first one was Kim Sil. He died of old age. The second was poisoned, the third stabbed, the fourth strangled, the fifth mauled by a Cazador, the sixth eaten by a Bark Scorpion, Kim Jung Su's throat was slit by a knife, and you saw what happened to Kim Jong. And no, the killer or killers have never been caught." Kizzie recounted somewhat coldly.

"Was there any common point to their deaths? I've asked the investigators, and they seem to think there's a monster who hates the office." The Dictator asked. "I've done a little investigation on my own, and my sources point towards someone called 'Tassadar".

Kizzie thought, and then said "Well...there was something else they had in common. Every body was found with a note, written in Kanji, on it. I don't know what was in any of those notes."

"That's interesting, sweet Kizzie..." The Dictator began as he stood up. "Because I took the note from the body of Kim Jong before you saw it."

"Well, I..." Kizzie stuttered.

"I imagine we'll have a much longer chat about this, Tassadar." The Dictator stated coldly. "In prison. With tools."

"You don't understand what you're dealing with, Dictator." Kizzie/Tassadar stated. "I have been guiding this nation, this people, to greatness since before your mother was conceived. By now, I think you know that drink is poisoned. Your options at this point are simple. You can accept that I'm really in charge of Korea and start listening to me or I will put a Dictator who will listen in power."

"You can't get away with this, Kizzie." The Dictator stated coldly. "You've murdered nine dictators! No arbiter will let you live!"

"I only murdered eight, you idiot! Kim Sil was my partner!' Kizzie/Tassadar yelled angrily. "And this will not go before the arbiters."

"Yeah, I think it will. You're an enemy of the State." The Dictator suddenly pulled a revolver from his pocket. "You're coming with me."

Kizzie/Tassadar didn't respond, instead leaping across the desk and sending the Dictator to the floor, snatching the gun from his hand. The Dictator began to yell something as Tassadar/Kizzie shot him cleanly in the head. She stood up, wiped her prints from the gun and put it in the Dictator's hand. She then pulled a note from her bra. A note written in Kanji.

Terrorist attack hits the Presidents office!!

5 people dead from a terrorist attack. Although they are no evidence, it is suspected that the Communist party was involved, although officially Christos said << I am very sorry to hear about this attack>>. The President, Mr. George, gave a speech << The war against terrorism was started by the communist government, but it shall continue and now. Also any attacks on the Communist party, without evidence, could lead to destruction of our democracy and even a civil war. Mr. John said << This attack is a crime against democracy. >>. Both 3 parties voted the new Anti-terrorist law.

The papal states notes that international observors have not seen this election in progress and thus cannot verify whether the election was free from irregularities, something that the papal states understands in a purely academic sense is required for genuine democracy.

Furthermore we do not know this Mr George and strongly suspect that he is linked to Christos Xinjiang, and may possibly even merely be a pseudonym for the same individual. Therefore in the consideration of a lack of empirical evidence corroborating the state media apparatus of Xinjiang (notorious for its hagiography of Christos in previous years) we must uphold our condemnations of the Xinjiang regime until such time as its relations with other states show a marked juxtaposition from the previous hostile manner of engagement.

Should this not occur, the Holy See must conclude that Xinjiang is in false trust attempting to regain entrance into the international community in the hope of gaining the benefits of greater economic and political inclusion while keeping a facade, and interiorly making no substantial change in relations between the rulers and the ruled.

The Catholic Church does not condemn the consumption of alcohol so long as it is consumed in moderation and not to excess.

That said His Holiness is pleased with the cake, and reciprocates by sending a Pope Cake to the Lord of Scotireland. The origins of this cake are unknown but are believed to originate from a pope from the region of Poland in centuries past.

Also on other matters the Holy See praises Angola's offer to send observors to Xinjiang.
