The Mysterious Case of the Missing Iron

Playing BtS version 317 Build version 3.1.3.1 with Varietas Delectat mod, single-user. The following has happened a couple of times: I have two or more sources of iron, one of them goes away (from an infiltrator, or cultural growth), and I'm told I can no longer construct one of the units that requires iron. Is this a known bug, and is there a fix?

Are you trading away your other sources of iron? If you're not and they are completely hooked up then it's a bug.

Still, sometimes the simplest solution works

... Then again, sometimes it doesnt

I didn't check to see if I was trading away my other sources of iron. *headdesk*
