The New Divine Intervention

Yes, my 90 year old grandmother, who was still hallucinating, fought off 6 nurses, 2 doctors, and a security guard who were trying to put an IV in her. They eventually had to enlist one of my family members for the job, because she was too strong to get the iv into her.

EDIT - Update coming tomorrow sometime.

Yes. Its a strategy that is mainly used to create super-galley's when early overseas expansion is neccesary. It's also fun with Privateers. :mischief:

Edit: You do have to get them on the same tile though, so either build a fort on the coast or empty a city for a turn.

Welcome to the pantheon, momo1000!!! :band:

Don't forget to name your god, or give it a little flavor, or theme, which you changes would be in. You don't have to, but it makes the game more interesting.

Here goes nothing:

Darius was sitting in his royal garden, overlooking the servants tending the plants. He breathed in and closed his eyes, expecting the sweet smells of the exotic flowers he had ordered the head-gardner to plant. Instead, he smelled smoke. He opened his eyes and noticed that the sun had been blocked by a single, pitch-black thundercloud. The cloud was constantly shifting it's shape, as if deciding on a form.

Suddenly, an lightning bolt flew out of the cloud and struck the tree which had been planted in Darius's father, Hystaspes. A gush of air blew from the tree and Darius flew backwards.

"What the..." said Darius as the cloud lowered itself onto the tree, which had become a chair. No, not a chair, a throne. The cloud shifted again and became a man dresses in black armor.

"Greetings, Darius," said the man. "I am Ba'raam, god of storms. I come to you to be my vassal, to strike like the lightning and gust like the wind. If you decide to work for me, and you will, you will be rewarded. Your name will be feared like the thunder. That is all for now."

A burst of light flashed from the god's chest, temporarily blinding Darius. When he regained his vision, Ba'raam was gone and the tree ashes.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My god is Ba'raam, which is a mixture of Barak (ברק) and Ra'am (רעם), which is Hebrew for lightning and thunder.

Oh look! A conflict of Gods' interests!

More backstory.

However, the ancient brotherhood hand regained hold in two rising powers, clinging their mangly claws into the future of human kind. These, chapters often try to contact each other, desperate to be reunited as the other covens descended into barbarianism. One was a land of large shields made to block arrows, while others is a land of dreamers, who wishes to make impenetrable Armour for their swordsmen and large conferences for their philosophers. As the rose, their influence is still weak, but who knows if their infiltration will succeed or not?
