I did have a Lego Slizer, which was the series replaced by Bionicle.

I never really got into Bionicle. They always felt more like action figures than a proper lego set.
Besides, with my legos I always built starships and the bionicle pieces weren't great for that.

Then came a continual barrage of shocking events, Vietnam etc, shocking people, Boy George, Richard Nixon, and shocking news, Watergate, My Lai, and all this country was was gone. Add to that a few individuals who made fortunes shipping jobs to China and the American Dream, which really meant something, was dead to most.

"Hair bands" When did music get associated with hair? Not classical music, not jazz music, but hair music. Why?

When I first saw some of these new bands/songs I actually thought they were doing a skit like Saturday Night Live to make fun of the music and I was laughing. One example: when I heard this song on the radio I thought it was Elmer Fudd singing a gag song.

I miss Breyer's Vienetta so much. Can't find it anymore in the US or China (where I ate it during summer vacations).
