The NOTW Information Thread

As long as his manages to wrap up about the same time as Night of the Mindworms, I think it's fine pacing-wise. How's the Immortals Design coming, sprig?


Design is pretty good, its more simple than some of the others but i still have balancing problems around personal objectives and a lot of it is story driven. i still need to write quite a few of the backgrounds. A couple have quite a lot written and i would feel bad about having other character plain as well.

about 50% i would say. But i kinda want to host my Mini - notw first as it is complete.
 
Understandable, but I think you and Winston are the only folks in the queue who are currently active players.

Not sure why my name's on the list, I don't play NOTW anymore :lol:

I leave them on there until I get a definitive 'no I'm not hosting anymore' post.

Also, I might actually have some time to host my sequel that's been on here for who knows how long and I've had some idea breakthroughs of late that might make hosting the game a reality. The question I have since I've been out of the NOTW loop for so long is roughly how many players have we been getting lately? I don't want to design a game for 30+ if only 20 or going to show up. Also of the 'x' amount of players playing, how many turn out to be inactives (on average)? I have (imo) a genius idea to deal with inactives that doesn't deal with WoGing them, but it could be rather extreme if I don't balance it right...
 
I think both here and on the .org it has been a bit of a struggle to get players. :( There are roughly 20 or so active players. But I am sure a BL Notw will draw some more people out of the woodwork. :)

OK - i think it would be better to host my mini as a larger version then - cant see how many players I will get though. So if it is just 20 then that should be ok?
If more - I can make up a few more roles.
 
I might come back for a game if you run one BL, but I'm not going to run one of my own.

Well, the fact that you're hosting it might get a few more people to show up, and we can always recruit some orgahs and TWC'ers, but 30 is probably about the upper limit for NOTW games right now.

I am just putting the finishing touches on my NOTW - The Party to enable it to be a bit bigger.

Most of the roles are done. Just giving it a little more depth to be consistant with other NOTW's

I will host it after Landlubbers, night of the mindworms, if there are no objections?

I am going to put up my NOTW thread a bit early. I would like to get sufficient player numbers and enough time to answer questions especially around Character Creation.

I am looking for around 20-26 players, I can take more if there is significant interest. and can also play with less.

I plan to start this game around the beginning of December, and will do a recruitment drive late November. If I get full sign up before December I will start sooner.
 
I would like to announce M-NOTW: The Muderers Web, it will be a detective themed game for 12-15 players.
