For the past week or so, I have been suffering from nausea, ranging from minor to severe. Within the past two days also, I have acquired a very faint, barely noticable chest 'niggle,' which is more of an annoyance than a pain. I am going to make an appointment with my doctor... I have heard these symptons can be early signs of cancer or heart problems... I would like a professional opinion.

So far, people have given the reasons to anxiety and stress, tiredness and hormones. But would something as simple as hormones make me want to visit the doctor, and give me chest pain?

I'm just wondering if any people here could shed some light on the subject, and calm me down before I go to the doctor.

i looking for a russian proverb. i heard it once on t.v. when i was way younger. It was from a famous russian writer but i dont know which one. it had something to do with the bad quality of roads in russia during taw. something like

''in russia there is only 2 bad things,[something i dont remember] and roads.''

There's an Ask a Doctor thread around here somewhere. That would be where to post your question.

”There are two main problems in Russia-fools and roads” http://englishrussia.com/?p=315

What is it with Catholics and the Supreme Court? Soon 6/9 of our justices will be Catholic. I think they're taking over... :run:

I support Sotamayor, and I would hope that a wise Catholic woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Protestant male who hasn't lived that life.

In that case maybe we should make all our justices Catholic, for diversity's sake. :D

Ooh, I know this one. While a lot of this forum's more antitheist posters will be happy to rant at you about the AFEPs they've seen saying "faith is the enemy of reason" and misgeneralize to all Christianity, Catholics generally have the more sensible approach seen in stories like The Blue Cross:
"You attacked reason," said Father Brown. "It's bad theology."

What is the name and composer of that peice of music which looks impossible to play, and has directions like 'release pengiuins' on the score?

I think it's more an accident than anything else. Like the way Jews have been over represented to their populations. I wouldn't read anything into it.
