For those adept at reading legislation:

“Any failure to comply with the provision of the regulations [the regulations here refer to having audio-visual recording equipment in Garda interrogation rooms] shall not by itself render a person liable to civil or criminal proceedings, and (without prejudice to the power of the court to exclude evidence at its discretion) shall not by itself render inadmissible in evidence anything said during such questioning.”

[I entered the bit in brackets to add context]

This essentially means that the failure to provide audio-visual recording does not make evidence given inadmissable right? So what you say can be still held against you even if its not recorded?

Sometimes legislation is such a :):):):):) to read.

As I understand it, it says it's up to the judge and, presumably, precedent. Could be illegal with otheraspects, could not, could be admissible, could not. Essentially a definite statement that the law is not making a statement on the issue.

A friend brought up how "the informational singularity theory is placed at around the end of 2012 when computer technology is equal to that of a human brain."
gaiz. Should I be worried?

Nope. Not even a singularity could bring a computer up to Zheng He's speed

When I was younger (10 or so), I recall watching a cartoon where this kid eats so many cheese snacks that his skin turns orange. Can this happen in real life?

If you eat enough carrots, yes. The culprits are pigments and dyes.

The cartoon was the Magic School Bus, the victim was Arnold. Good episode, I genuinely had no idea this could happen.

Is it actually possible without getting really sick in the process?

I was cleaning out a drawer and I found these dead little things. They were black and brown, a little oblong, and fuzzy. Mom calls them "wood bugs" but I googled it and the pictures don't match up. What are they?

EDIT: I know they weren't caterpillars or millipedes or whatever, I've seen those. This was too short.

ANOTHER EDIT: Yes, I washed out the drawer, it was plastic and thus waterproof. Right now it's airing out on the kitchen counter.

Maybe if you post a picture of them someone might be able to help.

They went down the drain. :(
